Thanks.  We were hopeful/curious when we found out about color-change sapphires and we were definitely thrilled when we saw the stone in the flesh. I think the DF is a little jealous that I get to look at it all day.  And thanks for the compliments on the photos too... it''s so hard to take decent pictures with the macro! |

PM, I am SO Happy that you came back to post more pictures of your gorgeous stone and now ring that it is set!!! I loved your stone when you first showed it to us and now that it is set into your ring.!!! All I can say is WOW!!!

Yay! I''m so glad y''all like it. It turned out exactly the way we wanted.
And of COURSE I came back to show pictures. Seriously, I spent so much time looking on these forums for ideas.. I owed it to you.  As for a wedding band, I will probably just do a 2pt eternity band. My fingers are pretty short, so I don''t know if anything else would even fit. We''re thinking about doing an eternity band of some kind for him, too, and if we can afford to do the custom route again, we''ll probably stick a couple surprise sapphires in the mix for interest. At least, that''s my master plan. I was thinking maybe an eternity band of little sapphires (hopefully dark green ones, if we can find someone who will source that kind of stone for us) with a couple surprise diamonds for him, and then an eternity band of diamonds for me with a couple of surprise sapphires (same shade as his eternity band). We shall see... We''re not getting married until next summer, so I have some time to check around and see what can be done. I just haven''t looked yet.
