I just got back from ID Jewelry to try on my engagement ring and it looks AMAZING.
My boyfriend is wonderful and knows how picky I am, so I've been very involved in the ring buying process. I had been planning on working with a family jeweler, but when he wasn't able to find me exactly what I wanted, I decided to give ID Jewelry a shot based on PS reviews (thanks PSers!!!). Plus, I live in NYC so I wanted to work with someone local. So far, dealing with ID Jewelry has been an absolute pleasure. Yekutiel is fantastic - he provides lots of information but isn't pushy. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted for the diamond (3+ carat RB with certain minimum specs) and setting (either baguettes or bullets). This is what we decided on:
Carat Weight: 3.13 carat
Color Grade: H
Clarity Grade: SI1 (eye clean)
Cut Grade: Excellent
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: Faint
HCA Score: 1.9
Setting: Vatche 309 in Platinum
I actually really liked the bullets, but my boyfriend strongly preferred the baguettes.
I took some pics today and will post more in a few weeks after we're engaged (and insured so I can actually start enjoying it!!!!). A video of my ring on IDJ's Facebook page right now too. I'll have to get a nice manicure before we're actually engaged haha. For size reference, I wear a size 5 ring.
