If the knife edge is bothering you, they can polish it down quite a bit when they are adjusting the head. Just curious, who was the jeweler that let a setting walk out the store so obviously crooked

That''s the plan for the band. Well, the fiance spent I think 100 bucks on the setting, but I agree, it should be straight and the jeweler will have to fix it for free due to it being his mistake. I don''t know the name of the jeweler, but my fiance picked him because he let him watch the entire time and never had the stone out of his sight. It was in LA somewhere.

There are some fine jewelers in the LA area. Singlestone, 23rd Street Jewelers, Sarah Leonard''s in Westwood. You might want to develop a relationship with a jeweler you can trust. The idea of any reputable store "switching" stones is really a myth. I imagine there are some lesser known, fly-by-nights that you might want to keep an eye on though.

Good luck. I think once it''s polished with less of an edge you''ll get used to it
