WOW Coati, I your watch! I think I need one now. I can hear my bank account draining...

Here is my automatic stainless Santos with starburst dial. It's my everyday watch and I think it's the perfect watch in terms of design and function. After 8 years of wear it has a few scratches on the metal but that just gives it character!

megeve-thanks for adding your gorgeous pieces to the thread. The quartz and diamond ring is so fun, and I love the Ballon Bleu-one of my all time favorites!

Imdanny, thank you! I do have a few VCA pieces, if the OP would be okay with it, I do not mind posting some pieces! However, I think coati will be starting other luxury brands theme maybe VCA is one of them!

bump...a newbie question: is patina desirable in terms of retaining the item's value or is keeping it / polishing it off usually a personal preference (and does not affect the item's value)? specifically, the trinity.

Hi, the Trinity line is with 18 kt white gold (and yes it's rhodium plated, I believe because Cartier's website goes into much detail about this subject) so patina couldn't affect anyone perception of its value. 18 kt white gold is considered a suitable metal for high jewelry, even by Cartier and VC&A. I hope this helps.

Imdanny - thanks! Personally, I would prefer a nice shiny piece but the one I'm oggling is fairly scratched up. 1) Would Cartier polish it? It's size 51, 4 MM (is that right) with scattered diamonds for $1,500. 2) Does this seem too good to be true? New versions on Cartier's site retail for close to 4k...
