I'm engaged!

He surprised me with dinner at the Ritz! I love the ring - I don't know too much about specs, but it's the most sparkly stone I've seen and the setting is perfect. I think the setting is close to the DeVatche royal crown (??). It's in white gold, plated in rhodium - very shiny!

I was surprised by the setting, sort of. I told him I liked the cross over style and preferred a six prong setting. He told me that he liked the 4 prong version better. He ended up changing his mind and surprised me!

I'm really happy with the way the 6-prong looks and he loves it too. It's more unusal (and maybe more secure??) - I haven't seen this setting on the hand of anyone else. (Even though I know other people do have it - it's unique in my life.

I did see a similar version on line - but mine was actually custom made by a B&M store that was wonderfully helpful. I had never seen that type of setting (either online or in person) before going into the store that made it for my fiance.




I was nervous to wear it at first, but I love it more every day! It's a constant reminder of my fiance.

OMG, I just love your oval. My hubby and me just ordered me a oval .75 ct from bluenile. My ering that he gave me when we got engaged, the band got broke, and he gave me a three stone total 1ct that I''ve wore for my wedding ring since. So when I seen your oval I just had to tell you that I hope mine can only be half as pretty and breath taking as yours!!!
