I just received my tsavorite pendant from BGD

Several months ago, I wandered into the Colored Stones forum. It''s a dangerous place

I was looking for a stone that would look good with my emerald ring, but I didn''t want the buy another emerald. Several posters recommended that I consider a tsavorite. I quickly fell in love with them. I asked Gene at Precison Gem to custom cut a tsavorite for me. I thought about what I wanted do with it and decided to send it to Brian Gavin. We had a number of discussions about the design and then the pendant was made. I received it yesterday. It is just what I wanted. I''m thrilled with it. Many thanks to both Leslie and Brian for making this piece for me!!

The first pic will show the tsavorite before it was sent off to BGD. It is 1.01 ct...

This pic and the next were taken by Brian. The prongs are very delicate IRL. I requested an airline so Gene's cutting style would not be covered up by the halo.

When I saw your first post of the stone not set, I knew it had to be Gene''s and than I read your thread.

Some may disagree, but I believe certain cutters have a "signature" after you see a lot of their stones as
far as cut style and shape.

It looks great around your kneck!

Hi, risingsun -- it's beautiful! The color is perfect -- so regal, and very emerald-like. And I love the oval shape in the pendant.

I stay away from the Colored Stones forum, too, It is seriously dangerous (to the budget) in there!

Many thanks to susimoo, amethystguy and Lauren. I was very pleased with the stone, when I received it from Gene. The color was spot on for me. Brian gave me the setting that I described, down to the last detail. A custom cut stone with a custom made pendant...this was a first for me. I appreciate all your very kind comments

When you posted the first photo of the stone all I could see was your beautiful wedding set.. then my eyes moved down and I saw your beautiful stone!! I am getting DESPERATE for a green stone! I think you have the perfect setting for your tsav and it looks gorgeous on you! Enjoy wearing all your beauties!

The stone is lovely but the setting you selected just completes the package. I think the melees up the bail adds a touch of class too.

That came out GREAT!! I really like the side details on the pendant and how sizable it looks on your neck. The stone is lovely and I think you were right to go for the airline. Wonderful job with this project. Congrats and TFS
