I have caught the old cut diamond fever from you guys so I get to play with this little beauty for few days before decide on purchase.
It's a 1.07 ct Transitional cut. The jeweler said it's about G color and VS-SI1 clarity but is selling to me as H and SI2.
I'm not very good with pic. taking but please give me your best judgment base on it and what's a fair 2nd hand market value for it for keep =)
Thank you

It is hard to tell from the photos but based on them I probably would have guessed maybe I/J SI2 - you have the stone though, do you think it looks like a G-VS2/SI1 or H-SI2? If you really like it after you've examined it in different lighting and with a loupe, I would suggest making an arrangement with the seller to allow you to have an independent appraiser such as David Atlas examine it so you really know what it is and what a fair price would be. Good luck!

What is the price?

We cannot tell anything about color or clarity from photos.

It looks like a great transitional from the photos, though.

I agree with others that you can't tell much about color and clarity from photos. But the pattern of the diamond looks awesome! Looks like a great example of a transitional.

The clarity is very good, I can't really see anything with my 10x loup so I'm thinking VS2 or SI1. I will try to take a better pic. for the color but it only has a very light tint from upside down, too bad I have set my GIA J color stone in a bezel so I can't compare the two =(

Id check out the stones at JbEG and see how you think yours matches up to their stock. They have a few options in the .90-1.1 range in antique cuts and seems pricing is around the 4,000 mark give or take.

I know but they are all in the warmer color range. I am fairly color sensitive so it will be hard for me to adjust.

Thank you, I have looked at the site but it's really hard to compare the color since they only have one front view pic. That's why I was hoping someone can give me some idea of the color of my stone based on the pic.

I think that it looks like a beautiful transitional. I can't really guide you on price but if having an independent appraisal done isn't in the cards right now, then I think that I would take it to a couple good jewelers and ask their opinion of the color and clarity and compare it to a few stones that they have in stock, you could then make comparisons to OWD or jbEG.
