Help! Need to see .75 next to a 1 carat! Finger size 6.5!

Help is needed asap fellow friends! DH will be ordering a diamond and I cannot decide between a smaller stone .70 up to 1 carat.

My finger size is 6.5. We can save some money if we stay below the 1 carat mark.

What is the visual difference between a .75 to a 1 carat?. I see some are 5.4 and 1 carat is like 6.17 or so.


If there is any possible way for any of you to post a few pics to compare these sizes I would be SO APPRECIATIVE!!!!!!!!

.6 with .9, a difference a little greater than .75 to 1ct.
Rings are a 6.5, but finger is a size 6.

have you seen the under 1 carat thread? Many people post stones in the .7 to 1.0 ct range and tell finder size.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I can't believe how much bigger the 1 ct looks!!! I guess I should just go for 1 ct.

If you go under the 1ct mark, you still save, 1.0ct is the magic number which generates mark-up.

The 1ct will look significantly larger than a .75ct. That would be my choice and my finger size is 4.5!

If you want to stay below 1 carat without sacrificing size you could opt for 0.9 carat. You won't see the difference, except for the price!

Don't know if this will help but my five stone is .56 next to .78 next to 1.28. You can see the graduated difference pretty well.

My ring is exactly a .74 carat round brilliant cut canadian conflict free solitaire on 19 K white gold ( 79 percent gold, the rest is alloyed with equal parts platinum and palladium) very strong/ very white, scratch resistant, chip resistant the newest metal. My fingr size is 7. Regarding the size of your diamond: It's not about the carat, but the Cut of the diamond and Clarity. THe other two don't matter when it comes to sparkle reflection. Hint: Never buy exact ( .75 or 1.00 carat weights, they increase the rarity hence the price skyrockets) stick to ' just under' ) and leave jewlers a 'range' emphasizing ' fire' to be of upmost importance.
