Yup! You might really like how it sits with your band - give it a chance, and if it''s not doing it for you, have them change it. |

I used the same jeweler (Quest) as PS screenname: BDJ. Her original post is here: http://www.pricescope.com/forum/rockytalky/my-cushion-solitaire-from-quest-engagement-rings-direct-t58805.html
But her pics aren''t up anymore, and all i could find was one pic of her e-ring in the "favorites" post. Does anyone remember what the profile of hers looks like? I wonder if they made mine that way b/c hers was made the same way...

Here''s the pic I sent when we first started talking about the design (taken from LM''s site).
Do you think this will work? Split the shank, re-work the basket, then attach the shank to the bottom of the basket? I''m sure it''s easier said than done...

I think seeing it in person can help you greatly in deciding how you feel about the ring. It made a big difference to me, anyhow! I can wholeheartedly see what you are concerned about, with the narrow shank and the head on top, but overall the ring is very pretty! Perhaps the overall slender effect would not be so nice if the head was integrated more fully into the shank of the ring...? ETA: hmm, I've just seen the LM photo you posted, it seems that you have a clear (and feasible) view of how you would like the head to be integrated into the shank. I think your idea has a lot of merit! |

There is a lot to be said for allowing the weding band to sit close. Otherwise, your wedding band is going to hit the prongs and scratch them. I think it looks beautiful, and not all rings need teeny prong tips. My Leon prong tips are so tiny that they are almost invisible. So yours likely will look great in real life! I''d really live with it awhile before altering it, because there will be pros and cons.

Yeah, I would definitely have them redo it. I wouldn''t even have them send it to me, honestly. If you specifically asked for something different I highly doubt you''re going to be happy with the peg head. I''m really not sure why they would do that after you sent them pics of that Leon Mege to show them the basket you wanted! I''m sorry-I''m not trying to get you riled up, but it irritates me when people try to make excuses like that.
The style of the ring is gorgeous, though-what wedding band are you planning on wearing with it? |
