I could literally spend all day and night trawling eBay for vintage charms. If you have a charm/bracelet that you love, please share! I would love to see it!!! There is a charm thread in another topic, but I'd love to see more here too!!!

That looks cool, is it a 'badge' charm? It looks like a company that advertises in 'straight streams' or another firefighter magazine.
Does it say, LAFD, or LA co FD? |

I have my mom's 1950s vintage bracelet. It's only got about 6 charms on it, though. She never finished it, so I have been collecting charms for the past few years to finish it. I have collected 4 more charms for it, but this one is by far my favorite!
Yes, it's a firefighter badge--it says LAFD. It's a tiny replica of the LACity badge. I think several jewelers do them. Not sure if this lady advertises in Straight Streams--she does advertise in The Grapevine |

So is your guy a firefighter? When I was a young FF wife, it was the big thing for wives to wear the little badge replicas on
a chain around your neck. I never got one but always wanted to, but now he is really close to retirement at 50 so I guess I probably won't!!! I always thought they were so cute, a bracelet charm would be perfect. Hubby will probably want a large replica made when he retires because he won't get to keep his badge. So cute! |

How cute!!! Maybe you will get a retirement gift too!?! I need to get a few links added to my mom's bracelet before I can wear it (she was really petite and I am not!), so I will probably wear this as a necklace for a while. He gave me a gold firetruck a couple years ago and I think they would be really cute together on a chain!
