hi everyone! I just picked up my ring today and took some photos!

So, of course I have to post them!

This is a Brian Gavin Diamonds five stone band. Each stone is about 35 pointers, so a little over 1.76 carats in total weight.

All the stones are BGD signature H&A''s and are I VS2s. I had a tiny BGD melee diamond placed in the inside and engraved with my husband''s and my initials and the number 17 for our 17th anniversary.

It is a beautiful ring! I am so happy I went with BGDs!

With my seven stone tiffany shared prong. The shared prong is 8 pointers.

Shot from a distance. For reference, I wear a size 5.25 and this is the BGD Trellis B style, in platinum. I originally wanted rose gold with white prongs, but I am happy I chose this ring in platinum. The platinum is pretty hefty and the band is very thick, which I love!

With my ACA solitaire...but I won't wear it this way as the diamonds are high in the 5 stone band and I don't want to wear away the metal on the solitaire.

So, my initial thoughts on this ring.
Wow, the stones are pretty big. I was actually surprised as there is no metal showing at all, so I am happy I went with the 35 pointers and not smaller diamonds. I always thought .25 to 30 pointers were a good size for my fingers, but I am glad I went with slightly larger diamonds as it does have a nicer effect.

I would not hesitate to get an I colored stone again. For reference, the tiffany shared prong has G/H color diamonds. I do notice a slight slight difference in color, but the stones are bigger and I think the BGDs pick up color from around the house and my clothes.

The metal is surprisingly thick, which I like. I don''t like it when the bottom of the band tapers off and thins out. I would say it is about 2mm. thick on the bottom and where the metal curves up to meet the top diamonds, about 3 mm.

I really like the curve where the band hits the diamonds. I am happy I picked this style over the other trellis style on the BGD website. It reminds a lot of Demelza''s 5 stone ring, but with thicker metal metal, again, which I love.
