Was wondering if anyone owns a ring with rose cut diamond sidestones that are rounds and/or pears? If you own one or have pictures of rings you've seen online using them, please post!
As background, I'm thinking about resetting my cushion diamond and am looking for unique sidestones or uniquely cut sidestones. I've considered step-cut half moons (aka cadillacs) or step cut pears--but they seem rare and very expensive! I recently saw that Jbeg has a parcel of rose cut diamons (most are ovals, which wouldn't work for me) but it got me thinking that a combo of rose cut rounds with pears might be pretty, unique, and give an antique look to a setting for my cushion. I understand they have flat bottoms so my one concern is their lack of brilliance which is why I'd love to see actual photos of rings using any. Also your thoughts or advice would be appreciated as to whether rose-cuts make for appropriate sidestones. Thanks!
