Ebay shopping experts - I have a question about re listing

So I'm not very experienced with eBay, and I've been looking at all the eternity rings looking for a good fit. So far I have a stellar record of bidding too cautiously to ever buy.
But I'm noticing several of the rings I've bid on recently have been re-listed. I don't believe there was a mention of a reserve not being met. Is this a red flag? Or does this mean anything to you when you're considering a bid?

I'd also love to hear any fabulous eBay jewelry anecdotes. I love browsing, but so far I'm not willing to risk much.
Thanks.

Re: Ebay shopping experts - I have a question about re listi

Could mean:

The person who won it returned it, or that buyer and seller mutually agreed to cancel the transaction.

There's a shill bidder in there, either the seller using a second or third ID and bidding on his/her own items to try to run prices up, or a friend of the seller who is shill-bidding.

The seller has multiples of the same thing, and he/she has accepted the winning bid and sold that item, but used the relist option rather than re-write the entire listing.
