Re: clothes/shoes/shopping help
I'm also far from my ideal weight and hate shopping for clothes right now. What you probably need to do is put some time and effort into it. And invest in tailoring if need be. A few weeks ago I had to attend a party and didn't have a dress. Shopping was pure misery but I finally found something. Kn... |

Okay - I have a slightly different perspective than most of the other posters so far - when it comes to "life event" type gifts (HS grad, college grad, wedding, etc) given to your children, I fall in the camp of thinking these should be as similar in cost and type as possible... I looked ... |

Re: Jewelry shopping in Istanbul?
Just a warning, when I shopped there several years ago items were marked sterling but had obviously non-sterling, plated parts to them. I did get some cute gold charms and a fun snake bracelet but I would be very cautious and really look over everything. That said I'm a fan of evil eye pendants and ... |

Re: Do you think Harry Winston E-Rings are worth it?
I'm a fan of estate signed pieces. They are less than retail but still have good resale value because of the brand. Plus Plus none of the drama of a custom piece. I love the idea of custom but have seen many threads on how wrong it can go. You get to try on a finished ring instead of hoping it turns... |

Since moving to the DC area, we have really become very acquainted with Virginia wines -- especially the Viognier and the Vidal Blanc from various Virginia wineries. Oh my! Neither. Propose without a riirate a diamond and let her get exactly what she wants which may be a finished ring or a different cut of diamond than you're looking at. Or maybe even a colored stone and not a diamond. |

Winternight, I have a favor. Would you mind taking a photo of your whole face/neck, so that I can see the scale of the earrings from a distance for perspective? Re: WhiteFlash Diamond Hoops x 3!!!
1.5 is the size I have and you get used to them very quickly. I would say that you'll be less likely to want to upgrade with 1.5 as well. And I also have long hair which I think balances out the 1.5, they were my everyday earrings until I got my jbeg earrings which I've been wearing nonstop. |
