Okay... so all the experts out there wouldn''t not pull the trigger becuase of this alone.  Thank you.

You say it is prone to chipping... is there a way to set the diamond that it is less likely to chip ot os it just a fact of life?

Thank you for taking the time to reply....

I guess that begs the question of how close to the corner does it need to be to become an issue?

If it was closer to the corner would that increase the odds of it expanding?

Feather on the outside edge... risky business?

To all of the experts out there: Please take a look at this Ideal-scope image and tell me your thoughts.  It is a GIA VS-2 princess cut diamond, but it''s flaw is a feather on the upper, outside edge.  Should I be worried about this?  Will it expand?  Would you spend 13 K on a d...

Princess Cut or Rectangle????

At what point does a princess cut become a rectangle?  How many millimeters difference can the naked eye notice?

6.92 x 6.53 x 4.66

1.70

Will it look like a rectangle or a square?!?!?!?!?  Please help!!!

Bad Girdle Thickness? Should I care?

I understand what girdle thickness is, but I am unsure as to how much it should affect the cost of a princess cut diamond. Very thin to very thick (considered avg.) and Extremely thin to extrmely thick (considered below avg.)  Is it really a big deal?  Should I shy stay away from diamonds ...

Tennesse, I couldn''t agree more with you, especially about the SI1... I can''t tell the difference at 10x, but I don''t think my girl would be happy with anything but a VS-2 and above stone.  The only time I could tell color was when the stones were all lined up next to each other.  And f...

Skippy,

Thanks for the response, I was hoping I could keep it below 15K.... it seems as soon as you hit the 2 carat level it jumps a bunch.... problem it there is a lack of options in the range just below.  Thanks again!
