Re: should I buy extra bands in blue diamonds

Should also add, both opinions, mine stating diamonds looked flat and pink yours stating she has 'plenty going on already' are both visual subjective perceptions/judgements so I don't think it's fair to pull one such perception up on 'unkindness' and not the other. Neither are fact; both are subjec...

Re: should I buy extra bands in blue diamonds

Thanks everyone for the more positive comments. I will think about it some more and maybe will try on some other rings with what I have to get a better idea first as suggested. Another negative to adding bands is the thickness it will add on the backside. The front would look fine, but it would mak...

Re: should I buy extra bands in blue diamonds

Op said herself she didn't think of it being heat treated (and I assume treated at all). Knowledge is power and now the op is aware of these treatments. Whether she accepts it or not she has a right to the knowledge... and I feel everyone here contributed knowledge (and not unkindly). Not everyone ...

Re: should I buy extra bands in blue diamonds

My reason for mentioning treatment is because most people are not aware that most are treated and that there are many different treatment methods. It could well be that she doesn't care about it, which is fine. For me, I would like to know what I am buying, since that is my hard earned money. Since...

Re: should I buy extra bands in blue diamonds

well, since you're asking for opinions, I would not add the blue diamond bands. I think you have plenty going on already and the colorless diamond bands highlight your engagement ring nicely.

Re: Show me your Yvonne Raley and Cecile Raley Designs!

thank you so much Lovinggems, lovedogs, and mochiko42! I had planned on starting a thread with more photos today, but after the rather nasty remarks regarding "so many paraibas" and the quality of them on the other thread I have decided to wait until I am in a better frame of mind. :angryf...

Re: Searching for *the* stone...

Anything like this? It's a peachy pink spinel. Slightly smaller than your requested dimensions. It's from JuliaB on etsy. She generally has quite a few peachy pinks morganite and spinels and she does nice work for reasonable prices. You might want to contact her to see if she has anything else avail...

Re: Thoughts on this Padparadscha

Well, it is too saturated to be called a Pad, so the price in my opinion is high. The description even says it's not a Pad. I think you can do better

Re: Searching for *the* stone...

Have you handled this colour in person? For most people, it blends in perfectly with their skin tone and disappears on the hand. I am one of those people that have the color skin peachy pink gems and rose gold blends into; however, I bought a light peach sapphire which I set into a rose gold diamon...

Re: Show me your Yvonne Raley and Cecile Raley Designs!

thank you blushpeony and ilovegemstones! When I originally planned this ring my thoughts were the blues would remind me of the caribbean and cool waters. But, in reality, I get the same vibe as you both mentioned- more old world. Regardless, I love how the ring came out. I've been waiting for some d...

Re: Paraiba Cab--finally found one!

I'm sorry it didn't work out for you lovedogs, but if you don't feel the "love" the right thing is to send it back. Although I vacillated about my paraiba cab, it always glowed which is why I decided to keep it. Even in dark dreary lighting when it's been raining (and raining, and did I me...

Re: Searching for 0.5 ct Trillion Cut Pink Diamond

Congrats on your upcoming engagement and I'm a big lover of pink diamonds!! But, may I ask why you're set on a trillion? It's a diamond for her to wear- does she like that particular cut? It's not an easy cut for a setting-unless you're looking at them as a pair for side diamonds. Is that an option?...

Re: Doggie dust - rapid weight loss

that's great that the ultrasound was normal! And although Addison's is not great news- it is manageable and you'd have a diagnosis and plan for his improvement. Let us know how the test goes

Pinkjewel, sorry to hear you're going through something similar. I made a comment to the vet about going for the ultrasound so we can get answers and she quickly reminded me there are no guarantees! Re: Doggie dust - rapid weight loss

I'm sorry your pup is going thru this. I can certainly relate- I've spent so much time at the Vet School Hospital near me the last few months trying to figure out what is wrong with my maltese.
