Re: August Vintage Cushion 3 Stone Design and Proportion

I prefer three stones where the sides are close in size to the center. Not completely the same size-I did try that and while I liked it, I wanted juuuust a bit of difference in size. I think it makes the ring look like one cohesive piece, rather than a center with sides. That's of course my opinion ...

Re: Setting ideas for asscher chryso

I love the bezeled sides w/milgrain-it's so pretty!

The SS one I've loved for a long time-it's so funky looking!

Re: Setting ideas for asscher chryso

Ooo thanks guys! Man I love looking at settings..and I love that a couple of these I've not seen before! I'm not so much for halos..I love them, and I did have one for a while and loved it, but I don't see it for this stone. I feel I'm...I don't know, classic w/a twist? Modern/contemporary? I like s...

Setting ideas for asscher chryso

Sooo my asscher chrysoberyl from Gary will be here Monday--by the time I get off work and get stuff taken care of before my last sign class I won't have time to get pics on here, so they will probably have to wait till Tuesday. BUT, I thought I would ask for ideas, suggestions, whatever, on setting ...

Re: Who cuts the best antique style gemstones?

Wow, that's a gorgeous round!

I feel like Barry's rounds are antique-ish. And Doug has a cushion and round that are antique cuts that I love, and his supernovas are super fat and beautiful. Barry's stones always have such big incredible facets, so I feel like any of his would work.

Re: Do you ever get depressed on your birthday?

I'm sorry! Birthdays aren't super important to me-which probably upsets my kids but...we never celebrated them when we were growing up and I just don't "get them" I suppose. I was born on my grampa's birthday, and he died when I was 13, about a month or so before we had our birthday, so it...

Re: Just in time for XYZmas, Breaking Bad Action Figures

I've never seen the show. Some things, even tho they're "toys" should just be sold at non-children stores, and that's just my opinion obviously. And could be I'm just a prude, I dunno. I live in the heartland of meth-it's like candy here, so I dunno if I could feel sympathy/empathy for the...

Re: Catch all thread - talk or better yet show us

it actually wasn't on his site, I emailed him about chrysoberyl and he thought he had a piece of yellow that would cut a small asscher...turned out to be 7mm! He sent me pics and gave me dibs-I'm like OMG YEEEESSSSS I want it! I've decided on a setting like this w/the longish tapered French cut bagu...

Re: Show me your favorite setting for an AVC or AVR

Honestly I really love PackRat's 3 stone AVC by Single Stone. It is just delicious to look at :appl: :naughty: :lickout: :lickout: But really an AVC or AVR will look good in anything. It toes that line up being great with contemporary settings or antique. Very versatile. Ohhh my gosh that is so nic...

Re: what color is a your front door?

I love those pretty colors-the orange is so lovely! Color makes me happy. When we bought the house the front door was white (as was the house) and when we painted the house, we did blue trim, and I had the front door and door into the garage painted the same blue. My dad about had heart failure. (DO...

Zilch. Unless you count the kids wanting to play me in tic tac toe or checkers on their kindles once in a while. We have a Wii but it hasn't been played in a couple years.

Re: A Book(s) Thread

Massive disappointment this morning when I finished one book and realized the other two books I had here I'd already read. Luckily the library was still open. Found a new John Sanford and a Jennifer Weiner.

Liane Moriarty sounds interesting-I will have to write her name down and look next time I go.

Re: What do you think of this threat?

Nope, although the game is mentioned I saw, Rapeplay. It was a thread that I'm pretty sure was started about the game, not about that pedophile book. What I remember is the general consensus here being that as long as a guy/boy wasn't actually going out and raping a female, it was ok to play the gam...

Re: What do you think of this threat?

Does anyone remember a few years ago, the thread on the rape video game? I can't find it so am wondering if it was deleted. Pretty sure I posted in it and don't see it in my post list. I don't think it was too long after I came here, so 2010 or so.
