Re: The comforts of home..

Going to check out that air freshener, thanks Jordy! I'm a nervous wreck about my house all the time--a husband, 2 kids, four cats and a dog who sometimes pees on the back deck and rolls in it..I'm always worried my house smells funny. I have a plug in Glade oil thing and a Scentsy pot in the kitche...

Re: Please share your photos of nature, wildlife, etc.

From what I understand, it's like racecar drafting kinda? The leader paves the way for the one(s) behind him and so on, so the leader works the hardest to make the path in the air and the others don't have to work as hard. I don't know how they know it's time to switch (which is one of the things I ...

I'd get a moonstone, and bezel it in a twisty viney leafy setting.

Re: Please share your photos of nature, wildlife, etc.

i don't have a picture of it but several years ago in the early springtime, we were in the city, and we walked out of Walmart. I heard geese, and that always makes me happy b/c I know winter is pretty much done. No matter where I am, I stop and look to watch them for a couple seconds. They fascinate...

Re: Pet Peeve Rant ... annoying how some people think

hahahahaha I'm about the least musically inclined person on the planet-I'd be totally lost on a guitar forum! My daughter plays the clarinet and the bass and I look like a deer in headlights when she starts talking instrument things...bass clef, treble clef.. I'll stick to jewelry and tat...

Re: Any Opal lovers out there? Show and Tell please.

I love opals. They have a lot of meaning to me. I have this one http://www.pricescope.com/forum/colored-stones/opal-pendant-by-dk-t211868.html (surprisingly enough, for all the times I've told the Grampa's Opal Story--I didn't put it in the thread hahahahaha--you all could probably recite it by now ...

Well, I wouldn't have known that, so I guess you can give me a big ole Duh! I find it interesting, and of course once you think about it, it makes sense, but I wouldn't have known it otherwise.

Re: Pet Peeve Rant ... annoying how some people think

I say things like that in response to comments when the comments are 100% final as in you 100% WILL DIE OF cancer if you smoke, everyone who smokes dies of cancer, that type of thing. That is not true so stop saying it. Do you have a greater chance? Yes. But it is not 100% guaranteed to stop acting ...

Re: Resetting my chrysoberyl

I would miss the current setting. Sometimes when I get my wedding set out in the morning before going to work I take it out and look at it and feel it, and I know that sounds whackadoo-but it has those swoops for the shoulders and it's so straight on the bottom, it just feels good to play w/it. (whe...

That would be great, Molly, thanks! I still haven't had time to really look at anything, other than scroll thru the available refurbished iPads and Air's on the website.

Re: Resetting my chrysoberyl

I've never had much of a "collection" of sorts..I had a halo ring once, even tho I didn't think I would like it, but I ended up actually loving it and only sold it so I could put the money towards the three stone. I feel like a lot of diamonds, the LM picture I posted, I wouldn't wear a wh...

Re: Resetting my chrysoberyl

I thought about it, actually. There's an LM ring I've had pinned for a while. And then when the Alistair Kelsey thread started...hooo those clean lines started nudging me. Funny you say that about Maevona---the head of my chryso ring is taken from the Ensay ring--good eye! And there's a PS'er w/the ...

Resetting my chrysoberyl

I have some time now to sit and type out a post. Several years ago I got a round yellow chrysoberyl from Barry. It's 7.1 or 7.2mm. I *LOVE* it. I had it set in a yg/silver semi bezel ring from myheartmonster-now Mod Metal, on Etsy. I used inspiration from two rings and came up w/the design and am pr...

Re: Brides Say Their Engagement Rings Were Lost Or Ruined By

Well, and too...it's not like there are PS commercials, PS advertisements in magazines..GOG doesn't run ads in the Sunday paper out of the big city here. SK/VC etc. Kay does. Greenberg's does. I found PS randomly when I was looking up moissanite-and I heard about moissanite on Ebay, while looking fo...

Thoughts on buying refurbished from elsewhere other than the Apple Store? I'm leery of it-my dad sent me a link to a place called macofalltrades that sells refurbished Macs.

Re: Buying a new laptop

I found a refurbished iPad, and then got to thinking..I like to type, and mostly when I'm on here or when I'm emailing an offline friend now and again, I don't know that I would like to type not on a keyboard. That's why I started bringing my Air home w/me (shhhh don't tell!) b/c it's a pain to use ...

Re: Buying a new laptop

We had a passing "hmmmm maybe an ipad?" thought but weren't sure, so nice to see someone who uses one instead of a laptop, thank you! Yeah I don't want to spend a lot either, Monnie! So maybe an ipad would be an ok idear after all...if I need to print, I print at work, I have my dad do it,...

so this is me looking on the Apple website at refurbished Mac's.. ;)

I emailed the IT guy at work and my Air is an 11" screen. That gives me a frame of reference when I'm looking at them online.

Re: Buying a new laptop

Argh I told JD when we got that Sony I wanted a Mac and he thought it would be too hard (since at the time we only had the one) for him to use a Mac at home and a Dell or whatever he has, at work. I'm like um...I use a Mac at work so that's what *I'm* doing, using two different ones, how is that dif...

Buying a new laptop

I need a new laptop. Mine totally conked out and I just turn it on now to charge my fitbit battery. Not sure if I can get the pictures off of it or not?? Re: Brides Say Their Engagement Rings Were Lost Or Ruined By

My original ering was from Kay. Worthless piece of junk. I had them size it down, they wouldn't tell me when it was in, I had to keep driving up to the store, an hour away, to check...I think I made three trips, took about a month, for it to be sized. When I finally got it, the "sizing" jo...

Re: Outdoor grilling/cooking.....

We grill all year. Jd is out there even if he has to scoop a path thru the snow. We don't really do like actual recipes. He gets steak or burger, shakes seasonings over and then puts it on the grill. One thing we love to do tho..we get little potatoes (I forget what kind) and cut them up really smal...

I like bezels/semi bezels...but I don't want it to be super similar to my bezel three stone either. I love the setting its in currently, 'specially bc I came u...
