Re: Help with hair stuck on clothes

We have a lint roller thing that you can wash and reuse, so we use that a lot, but it's cat hair that we have an issue with. When JD shaves Trapper's head, he strips him down and does it in the shower, or we'll do it outside if it's nice but have him wear like a cotton tshirt and jean shorts o...

Re: How would you react to lack of gifting?

I posted again yesterday and managed to lose it somehow, so lemme think if I can remember what I said. B/c you know it was brilliant and earth shattering.. ;)) JD does things to show how much he loves me all year long (tho when I have to hound him to kill spiders for me, I do have to question the va...

Re: How would you react to lack of gifting?

Oh Uppy, I'm sorry he's not a gifter. I would feel sad, were it me. And kinda irritated too, I gotta admit. Not that JD's like ho ho ho Jolly gift giver, but he has gotten me things before. Well...before the kids came we used to do "real" gifts for each other for Christmas-the last several...

Re: Teachers can still beat students in 19 states

When mom was little, kids used to have to hold their hands out and the teacher would smack them over the knuckles w/a ruler. A guy I dated had a dad who was a teacher, and taught when my mom was in school (he was only 12 years older than me just so that doesn't sound like I was dating some old fart ...

Re: Would you tell someone they have a personal hygiene issu

Re: Would you tell someone they have a personal hygiene issu

I have a huge fear of being the stinky girl. Just like I have a huge fear of having a stinky house. If someone comes to my house and knows I have cats before they see them, I would go crazy. If someone knew...I don't know, something gross, like if someone knew I had my period b/c I was not clean...I...

Re: What's your IQ?

No clue. I've got enough crap I feel bad about myself for, I don't need to take a test and have it be lower than I would hope and then add feeling stupid on top of it. Or to feel that others are automatically smarter/better than I, b/c they have a higher score. Besides, I've known plenty of people w...

Re: A cat sat on my steps meowing to come in... Now what? (P

Thanks for the thoughts on microchipping. I have to call the vet in the next couple days about something else, so I will ask about doing our girls. They do go outside when it's nice outside, but we have a 6 ft fence around the backyard. Do you still do collars/tags then, so it's outwardly obvious th...

Re: Do you have a housekeeper?

pppffft. No. I have 2 kids and a husband so yeah. I'd need to have someone full time to keep up w/the crap here. I've learned to live w/things not being as situated and put away as I'd like them to be and as I think they should be.

Not to interrupt/derail here, but do most vets microchip nowadays? I'd never thought about it w/my girls but it's sounding like a good idea now.

Re: 20 Stabbed at Pittsburgh area high school

Some of the training my husband has had has made him come home green around the gills about what has happened in the world in schools. The investigations they have going on, into groups and individuals that are under surveillance, the plans they've *stopped*, that the average person has no awareness...

No, he's gonna help her find a decent used car with the insurance money. Her bf is a auto mechanic whom owns a auto repair shop. Re: 20 Stabbed at Pittsburgh area high school

Nearly every guy in my high school carried a knife of some kind and no one ever got stabbed. A few cut themselves accidentally but that was it. There were fist fights where both sides had knives and they were never pulled. I usually carried 2, a pocketknife in my pocket and a filet knife in my back...

Save it for London. The wedding set for sure. The two colored stone rings she can decide if she wants to keep or give one or both to Trapper's wife when he gets married, if she's into jewelry.

we want to hear name options too when you find out if you have boy-kitty or girl-kitty.

I vote Senor if boy kitty (I don't know how to make the ~ over the n) and Cosette for girl kitty.

Re: A cat sat on my steps meowing to come in... Now what? (P

Ohhh pretty kitty! If he has no owners, or they don't want him, I hope you are able to keep him. Our first kitty together was a stray that wandered to JD's place and took refuge in the barn-garage. She was very insistent on living w/him. JD was SO not a cat person but boy did she win him over...

Re: When did you know your man was a keeper?

Re: Why Food Stamps Are NOT A Scam

It. will. never. change. period. end of story. There will always be ones that work the system, on both ends, high and low, b/c they know how, and b/c they can and b/c they're allowed to. The shitty thing about it is the kids are the ones, on the low end, who suffer. That makes me sad and it also mak...

Re: How much 'honestly' do you drink?

The last time I drank was...back in October I think. A coworker and another coworker and her husband came over and we got tipsy. Then before that, last summer one of my class mates came back for a few days so we went out to his folks' place and had some drinks. Before that it had been a year or two....

Re: Parents with 2+ kids, do you have a favorite?

No. London is my easier one, has been since the beginning. Trapper is harder...waaaaay harder than London ever was. Now, she's 10, so that could all change here shortly, who knows. But a favorite, like "I love you more" or "I like you better", no.

I love the idea. I've seen some things on pinterest and it is fascinating. Living out in the boonies as we do, we'd have no problem finding land.
