Re: Is this anti-Semitic?

I'm sorry. I choose to give people the benefit of the doubt and not automatically assume that something is done on purpose. I don't need to go out and buy a Star of David to know and understand nor do I need to wear one. I was brought up to not wear religious symbols and when I was a rebellious earl...

Re: Is this anti-Semitic?

I've been told I'm going to hell my entire life. I've been made fun of for growing up as a Jehovah's Witness my entire life. I dare say many on this board have moaned and groaned and rolled your eyes about door knockers and many many other things related to Witnesses. That says nothing about me as a...

Re: Is this anti-Semitic?

I think anyone can see anything they want in anything everywhere. It looked like spilt milk. That's a book about looking at the clouds and seeing different things. For all we know someone said ooooo hey better change that in case someone thinks it's supposed to mean this. Do we know? Nope. And the w...

Re: Saatva Mattress

well heck I guess I'm kinda glad I'm not the only weirdo w/pillow/ear issues ha! I have My Pillow. And a My Pillow body pillow. I *loooooved* the pillow, until I washed it. I think if I were to wash it every week or so, every few days, maybe that would help but cripes that's a lot of washing. When w...

Re: Saatva Mattress

I don't want to interrupt Gypsy's thread, but wanted to ask quick about your latex pillows..do they smush your ears at all? That sounds weird, and maybe I *am* just weird, but every night I wake up (well, I wake up all the time but..) and my ears *hurt*..sometimes very painfully. Like I've been gggr...

Re: "Why I Was Wrong About Welfare Reform"

siv, when i was younger and the factory where I worked was getting rid of my job, I looked at going back to school, b/c that's what everyone said you're supposed to do. That's the only way to "make money", you have to have a college education or you're a loser. So, I went to the off...

I will look for that, thank you!
ETA Oops just saw there were others listed, I didn't scroll down far enough. I will probably just go ahead and order some of these even tho I won't have them in time. I'll get what I can to take up there.

Ugh, what a horrible situation. Agree w/Gypsy tho. I would hope for #2 but be prepared to carry out #3. That's where I was back in the day and it's just not a fun place to be. Re: Resetting my chrysoberyl

Thanks distracts and Rfisher! It's not going to be exactly the Dahlia, it will be a conglomeration of Dahlia, Jena, and that twisty ring. Somehow..hopefully ha! I'm going to put something else in the semi bezel so i can still wear it-I could never give up that setting. I love it like crazy. I'm not ...

Nope, I've not tried it yet. We made it to the city today and didn't have time to get to Sephora so I didn't get a different kind. Bah. I did order a boonie hat from Zappos, so I'll have that if I find that purple thing dad bought me to be completely unbearable. Dad has a stick like what the lifegua...

Re: What is a reasonable vendor response time?

Frustrating. I can't speak to how busy vendors are-it's sparkly shit and there's a lot of us who want it, so I'm sure they've got all sortsa balls in the air. Most of the vendors, if I email once, i'll wait a couple few days, email again, and then after that, I quit. I don't want to call and hey how...

Re: What would you do?

What Gypsy is saying, that's how my MIL was. Crafty. JD was the only person she couldn't do w/out, but she continually tried to pit me and her against each other, and me and JD. She did everything she could to insert herself and make JD believe he couldn't live w/out her, trying any way possible to ...

Re: Beauty Products You Are Loving...

Interesting, thank you! Is there a list of physical sunscreens I can look at and write some down? Or do you just look for ones that say mineral?

I'll write down the ones listed already and see if I can find the time to run up to Sephora tomorrow, otherwise I'll have to see what I can find in town.

what does physical sunscreen mean? I don't know if I'm going to make it to Sephora or not. I'm going to try tomorrow or Thursday. I wish I'd thought of sunscreen earlier, I could've gotten it already argh.

Re: Beauty Products You Are Loving...

I want the Elta MD, but there's no place near me that sells it. Their website states Amazon isn't an authorized retailer so I'm not sure I want to chance buying from there. I can maybe swing to the Sephora an hour away and get the Algenist.

It was this http://www.revisionskincare.com/intellishade-original I used the matte version b/c they told me if you're prone to breaking out it was better than the original and would also help keep my skin less greasy. I liked that it had tint to it so it made my skin not so crazy red. We'll be fishi...

Re: Garden theft....this is a thing?

Re: Garden theft....this is a thing?

I'm sorry that happened! (twice!) It does happen, sadly. We've got all our wagon wheels attached to the ground w/trapping stakes and cables, so someone would need cable cutters to take them. Same w/the windmill and pump. It's pretty pathetic that we'd have to do that, but people are pretty brazen at...

Re: The OTHER SMTB - Show Me The BLOOMS

Haha! Dad and I put in a new flower bed years ago. We went out on "poop patrol" (that's what mom and dad called it when we were little and we'd get manure for the garden) to the pastures and got a trailer of cow manure to mix in the dirt. I was out watering after we got everything planted ...

My parents have a lot of coneflowers. I ordered some for the front this year but they've not bloomed yet. I got a crazy green one, a white one, and three that are sort of a grab bag of who knows what color they'll be. Three of our yuccas in the back are blooming-the stalks are clear as tall as the f...

Everybody's skin is different and everyone needs different things, besides good/enough sleep, staying hydrated, eating right etc. Exercise is wonderful for your skin. I *can't* just wear sunscreen.
