Re: Victor Canera Jocelyn with Scalloped Basket

Love the new photos, LLJ!! You have such elegant hands and wrists, so you wear your ring particularly well!

Victor's work is amazing, isn't it?

Re: POLL: which wedding band should I get?

I'm going through a similar dilemma, only I have a VC Emilya. Right now I'm wearing a plain band. I too had thought about French cuts; I tried a SingleStone one on that would be more similar to the ERD one you posted. I don't know if it didn't help that the band was not the right size for me, but I ...

Congratulations! It's a beautifully amazing ring and I can't wait to see it on your hand. IIRC, his shipping is overnight so it should be on your hand by Tuesday!

Re: What's the meaning of your PS user name?

Logan is my husband's last name and when I was at the Natural History Museum here in DC looking at their gem exhibits, I came across the Logan Sapphire (pic in my avatar). I like to pretend it's mine that I loaned to the Smithsonian

Re: HAS POLICE TRAINING CAUSED VIOENCE

JD doesn't run the department. And really, the Chief is limited too. City Council runs it. They decide who the Chief is. We don't. They decide budget etc. Without wading too much into this debate, I have to say that from the Federal level, this is completely true. My job is to manage Federal grants...

What?? No! Never! I'd love more pictures. Wouldn't mind seeing a family shot, either.

Re: Let's see you favorite piece out of your jewelery collec

I have two- one is my engagement ring and the other is the first piece of jewelry that my husband ever gave me. It's jade and the one he picked out is a nice deep green. I don't believe that particularly piece is made anymore.
Re: Help Choosing Non-Matching Wedding Band! Photos please!

I have an Emilya that I wear with a 1.5mm plain band at the moment. I'm also going through a similar dilemma- matching band or something else. His work is stellar but I feel like the matching ring would be too matchy-matchy and almost like too much pave everywhere. You've got an amazingly beautiful ...

Re: Do friends or family ask to try on your e-ring?

Yes, people have asked to try on my e-ring and other rings and I let them.

Sometimes my twin sister will borrow my stuff for a week or a special event. Once I lent her my e-ring all day and she was freaked out b/c it wasn't insured specifically (though it was under my umbrella policy).

Making a ring using my own 24kt gold?

I have several small 24kt gold bars that are 10g each. Would that typically be enough to make a thin ring (say 1.5 or 2mm) in a size 3.75 or 4? I know Raven's Refuge allows customers to supply their own gold- are there any other vendors who do the same? Onbviously the gold would have to be alloyed w...

I just wanted to pipe in and give you my experience with my VC Emilya- that style is so well-known and hyped on PS that I was expecting it to solve world peace, shoot rainbows out of its pave, and make a gourmet dinner to boot  I will admit to opening the box and being a little underwhelmed a...

Re: Victor Canera cathedral Emilya is here!

Hi LoganSapphire :wavey: I wondered what you did with your three stone ring after you re-set this stone? IIRC, you had a 3-stone with a smaller center, then replaced it with the 1.25 (the VC is gorgeous!), then had the 1.25 halo'd. So what became of the 3 stone? It's like an evolving story, and I w...

My opinion probably doesn't mean much since I've only had my ring since August, but so far, so good. Re: To halo or not to halo?

I've had, or currently have, a solitaire, a three stone, a five stone, and a halo. My five stone center has a 5.3mm spread, so that may be the most similar to your stone. To be fair, the center in the three stone is smaller than my halo, though not by much. My husband thinks the three stone has the ...

Re: Car seat placement

No one rides in the middle seat in our cars. Everyone is right by a door. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Btw, my son RFd for a long time (at least until he was 43"), which may or may not have looked ridiculous ;) but he fit and could've kept going size-wise.

Re: Victor Canera cathedral Emilya is here!

Thanks, ladies! I love the slope of the cathedral; I had a three stone trellis before and its slope was like child's play compared to the Emilya's.
