Re: Help with unpleasant side effects of chemo

Please check with the doctor before using any OTC drug to stop the diarrhea. The diarrhea is a side effect of the chemo and is maybe the body's way of flushing it out of the system-so you may not want to stop it suddenly with Lomotil and have the chemo stay in the body longer than necessary-pretty ...

Re: Help with unpleasant side effects of chemo

Sorry- I should've been clearer and less delicate- she's having terrible, terrible diarrhea, not nausea. Her appetite is still quite good, but not matter what she eats, it comes out the other end almost immediately.

Help with unpleasant side effects of chemo

My sister has aggressive breast cancer and is receiving chemo along with targeted treatments. The good news is that with just one session of chemo, it really does feel like the lump has shrunk dramatically (whether that's real or just imagined....?), but she's suffering from all the nasty side effec...

Re: Visiting Washington DC? Any DC natives here?

I work in Chinatown and would avoid it too. There's nothing uniquely DC about it, although if you like ramen, they have a terrific ramen restaurant there. I'd definitely plan well if you intend to take the metro, especially on the weekends or non-peak hours. Like someone said, they often do track wo...

Thanks!!

No, I'm not the first to have it; I saw at least one other one when I was making my decision. I don't believe it's on his website.

Re: Cathedral setting vs... not cathedral setting.

I have a cathedral Emilya- my husband really preferred it with the shoulders so that was what I went with. Stability never entered my mind, but I assume VC knows what he's doing since the non-cathedral Emilya is the classic standard.

Re: David Klass amethyst solitaire

Thank you, all! I've really enjoyed wearing it. I didn't tell my husband when it arrived and have worn it daily waiting for him notice. He finally noticed today and said it looked like something out of my 100 year old grandma's jewelry box :eh: I couldn't tell if that was a compliment or not! He sai...

David Klass amethyst solitaire

I've recently received my David Klass 18kt rose gold 4.19ct amethyst solitaire, and I love it. I know this is a familiar setting to many here on PS; I modified it slightly to make the profile scrolls smaller with no surprise diamond. This is a large stone (to me!) at 10mm and I wanted it to sit as l...

Re: Fabulous CS rings under 1250 dollar!!

Yes, David Klass did the setting. My first piece by him! The stone is from Gemart Services and is 4.19ct and 10mm. I had the setting, which I believe is quite famous and slightly controversial, modified a little. I went with smaller profile scrolls and no surprise diamond, because I wanted the stone...

Re: Have people experienced stones falling out of their ring

I have a VC Emilya and haven't lost any stones, though I've only had mine since 2014.

I did have a three-sided pave colored stone halo that lost a few stones; it was made by a local jeweler.

Unfortunately, I do have an eternity ring that is going to be too small in a very short time :(( I have a beautiful Victor Canera shallow cut band and my finger size has undergone 1/2 size increase in the past year. The stone would darken too much with the gallery as-is?

I do want to get rid of the scrolls on the gallery- if I did that, would that open up things to better complement the stone?

Re: Help with gold color for prongs for 18kt RG amethyst rin

Amethyst can be a tricky stone (in a good way) as it can be complimented by each metal color. It really depends on the mood/tone of your piece and skin color. I think that rose gold suits your skin tone and the stone's colors very well. It would be a safe route and very gorgeous in a timeless way. ...

Re: Help with gold color for prongs for 18kt RG amethyst rin

You cannot go wrong with rose gold but I loooove the 22k yellow gold. However... whatever your heart tells you will be the right choice. I have chosen rose gold myself and have not regretted it. But I love your pics with high kt yellow gold. The Ammy seems to get extra oomph. I love 22kt gold too.....

Gorgeous stone and ring design! I would indeed keep the prongs on the shank and make a different choice for the profile/head. I would actually suggest yellow gold in the same colour as your wedding ring. Thanks! The ring is a RHR so no competition with my wedding ring, which is actually a pave Vict...

Help with gold color for prongs for 18kt RG amethyst ring
