Re: Show me your wedding sets

Here is mine with two different wedding bands. One is a platinum 1.5mm band and the other is a 22kt textured band from Raven's Refuge (great vendor, btw!). Logan, I don't remember the specs of your stone but your ring looks HUGE. I think it must be quite photogenic because it doesn't look that way ...

Thanks! I no longer have it (wasn't my original wedding band), unfortunately.

Quest Jewelers in Fairfax, VA made it for me. It's 2.5mm platinum with five cluster of 7 diamonds, if memory serves me correctly.

Re: CADs are in - opinions?

Here is my old ering in a trellis. It's almost identical to what you want- .83ctw sides and 1.2ct center in a 3.75 ring size. I don't know if the setting makes a difference in how much coverage you get.

Re: Victor Canera Set Complete - Jocelyn and Band

It looks great!!! I like that the plain band lets the ering stand out more. I think the problem with perfectly matching bands is that it all sort of melts together to look like one indistinguishable ring.

Congrats!

Re: Show me your Class Ring!

In my college's case (Notre Dame), they were almost all the same ring style and almost all the same color stone (blue, which is one of the school colors). When I went to school, everyone I knew had yellow gold; only one person got it in white gold. Don't know if that's changed now with the popularit...

Canceling on a sick babysitter- do I pay her?

We were supposed to get a sitter for tomorrow night; however, I saw on her FB page that she's getting sick- feeling drained, warm, and chills. One of my kids is recovering from strep and both were very sick over the holidays. I desperately need to keep them well because we're going to Disney in two ...

Re: Does your hubby wear a wedding band?

My husband wears one daily. The only time he doesn't wear one is when he showers. His original is a yellow gold milgrain band (not my preference but also not my ring!). He also wears his dad's white gold wedding ring very infrequently, a low dome rose gold band I got him, and a palladium band that h...

Re: Your Maximum Size for Round Engagement Diamond

I tried on a 5 ct., which looked ridiculous on my hand, and a 4 ct., which still looked a little large. I think I could swing a 2.5 ct.!

Re: Show me your Class Ring!

Here's my college ring; it was a Big Deal to get one. You're supposed to wear it a certain way depending on whether you've graduated or not but I don't remember which way is what. I stopped wearing it a few years after I graduated.

Raven's Refuge 22kt 1.6mm textured band

I've been really enjoying the look of high carat gold and recently saw both the 1.5mm and 2mm textured Single Stone bands. My wallet refuses to allow me to pay SS prices for a simple band so I had Raven's Refuge make one for me. Dan couldn't do 1.5mm but could do 1.6mm instead. They estimated 5-6 we...

Looking at a BG Trelis setting. I am chatting with Jamie a bit and he suggested doing .40 side stones. Also I love pears...so I am looking at the BG Summer setting as well. It's a fabulously beautiful ring!! Congratulations to both you and to BGD for nailing it and having wonderful customer service. I do love the open box presentation, documented through your wonderful pictures.

I hope you'll update the thread with pics when you get the new spacer band.

Re: Question about spacers - what is supposed to touch?

I was always under the impression was that metal touching metal is fine, metal touching diamond or diamond touching diamond is not. so if you have to rings with metal touching metal, you don't need one, otherwise you buy a spacer to act as a sacrifice to the jewelry gods. lol I think it depends on ...

My platinum pipe cut wedding ring ate into my platinum prongs on my old ering. Getting a spacer separated the two very slightly. I have a .8mm spacer.

Re: POLL: which wedding band should I get?

I'm going through a similar dilemma, only I have a VC Emilya. Right now I'm wearing a plain band. I too had thought about French cuts; I tried a SingleStone one on that would be more similar to the ERD one you posted. I don't know if it didn't help that the band was not the right size for me, but I ...
