Re: Reset with Victor Canera? What would you do?

I just wanted to pipe in and give you my experience with my VC Emilya- that style is so well-known and hyped on PS that I was expecting it to solve world peace, shoot rainbows out of its pave, and make a gourmet dinner to boot  I will admit to opening the box and being a little underwhelmed a...

Re: Victor Canera cathedral Emilya is here!

Hi LoganSapphire :wavey: I wondered what you did with your three stone ring after you re-set this stone? IIRC, you had a 3-stone with a smaller center, then replaced it with the 1.25 (the VC is gorgeous!), then had the 1.25 halo'd. So what became of the 3 stone? It's like an evolving story, and I w...

Re: Calling Victor Canera Halo owners! Still love and wear

My opinion probably doesn't mean much since I've only had my ring since August, but so far, so good. Like you, I have an office job where I'm mostly at a computer all day long, so nothing hazardous to my ring's health. I do commute using public transportation and when I have to hold onto a metal pol...

Gorgeous set, Lisa1802!

Here's my cathedral Emilya. I alternate between a plain 1.5mm band and a 2mm ruby/diamond band.

Re: My Crowning Glory - a collaborative bespoke FCD ring.

It's gorgeous and such a beautiful design. I would pop into your CS thread on occasion so happy to see it come to fruition. Congrats!
Re: To halo or not to halo?

I've had, or currently have, a solitaire, a three stone, a five stone, and a halo. My five stone center has a 5.3mm spread, so that may be the most similar to your stone. To be fair, the center in the three stone is smaller than my halo, though not by much. My husband thinks the three stone has the ...

Re: Car seat placement

No one rides in the middle seat in our cars. Everyone is right by a door. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Btw, my son RFd for a long time (at least until he was 43"), which may or may not have looked ridiculous ;) but he fit and could've kept going size-wise.

Re: One in Six Women Disappointed with their Engagement Ring

Or you have women like me- I picked out my own ring and was still disappointed with it. The engagement was not a surprise (I was even wearing the ring before I was engaged!) and there was nothing to "blame" on my now-husband. I just picked too rashly and at the time, wasn't into jewelry a...

Re: Victor Canera cathedral Emilya is here!

Really gorgeous! Can you take a closer pic with it coupled with the ruby/diamond band? - it looks amazing!!!!! Here you go- just took some quick shots and one I couldn't resist while shopping. Had to do that one on the sly! The band isn't a great match- there's a color difference in the metals (it'...

Re: Victor Canera cathedral Emilya is here!

Thanks, ladies! I love the slope of the cathedral; I had a three stone trellis before and its slope was like child's play compared to the Emilya's. I don't know when the matching band will be possible. We just had sod installed and plan to replace our drafty backdoor and screendoor this winter. We'r...

What kind of pave did Victor use?

Thanks! Do you mean what style of pave? It's the cutdown aka shallow u-cut pave- .43ctw. Not sure of color or clarity though.

A couple of new pics, including one on my sister's claw-like hands. I've been wearing it with a 1.5mm platinum band until I get the matching band.

Re: Reset ideas for 1 ct round diamond?

I recently got an Emilya for a stone that's not too much bigger than yours (1.35). I've been wearing it solo while I try to figure out what to do about a band. The only person who asked if I was engaged worked in a jewelry store. It does look very engagement-y, but I seem to like the look of it alone.

Re: What to do with smoky quartz brooch?

It's a beautiful brooch -- what a gorgeous way to remember your grandmother. Are there any markings on the back? There's a hallmark that looks like a police officer-shaped badge. It has something that looks like F1 in fancy writing and then 14k below it. No other markings. My grandfather was a lieu...

Re: What to do with smoky quartz brooch?

I am impressed by how sharp all the facet junctions are, since it is an older piece that has been used and quartz isn't the hardest stuff around. That's why I'm wondering if it's fake. It does have two lines that look like scratches but I can't feel any ridges with my fingers. I'm pretty sure it wa...

What to do with smoky quartz brooch?

This piece came from my grandmother (who's long been deceased). It's a brooch that doubles as a pendant, but would be incredibly heavy to wear as such. 1. Is it worth getting appraised to see if it's real? 2. Is it normal to have such a large window? I've worn it as a brooch on a wool coat for many ...

Re: Victor Canera cathedral Emilya is here!

Thanks again!

I have a quote from Victor for the matching band and am waiting to hear about his engraved one. The pave is perfection so I can only imagine what a full eternity pave band from him is like.

Re: Mom's With 2 or more under 5 - what ring do you wear?

Congratulations, Circe!

Mine are a little older than what you asked for (4 and 6), but I wore a three stone trellis and a channel set band all the time with no issues. I recently switched to a halo so not sure how durable that would've been had I owned it when the kids were younger.
