Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Add hot/flushed-feeling hands to my other symptoms. It's a feeling I've only ever had in the past when I was on progesterone supplements, and it has struck on and off since around 4pm. I don't feel feverish or sick at all, just strangely aware of how warm my hands are. Tired + temp + this familiar r...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

RT, that's awesome! :appl: Blingbunny and AMC, it amazes me how people can work in an OB office and be so thoughtless sometimes. Obviously not every patient passing through their doors has a history made of sunshine and rainbows, and when it's not those, it's often sadness of the rawest, most emotio...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

This may be TMI, forgive me.... but is anyone else TTC and dealing w/ sizable fibroids and side effects? I had some tests done due to abdominal pain/pressure and was told I probably have fibroids, which are causing pain and some other issues. I know they're extremely common and usually harmless, bu...

Re: The Official TTC for 6 Months or More Thread

Ooof, that clamp is THE WORST!! They used the saline for me because they weren't intending to check my tubes, just trying to find the source of my spotting/bleeding. Doc checked my tubes with dye during surgery, so I can't see any reason for another saline or HSG being done in the next couple ...

RT, I'm glad your trip to the RE proved enlightening! hcg...do you maybe mean HSG? I am not jealous, if it's the latter... I avoided the actual HSG thanks to surgery (not sure that's a good trade-off, but checking my tubes was a side item), but I had the saline sonohysterogram, which is the same sor...

Lady- Fingers are super duper crossed for you, that opk sounds really promising especially if you just had surgery! My mind is so bad, can you remind me what you had done? Was it a laparoscopy? I know right after I had mine is when I got my first positive test since Cayden so anything is possible! ...

Re: The Official TTC for 6 Months or More Thread

RT, I feel ya. I'm still lurking in both threads, swinging wildly between crazy optimism and the blues. Our good news is I didn't have a speck of pre-AF spotting this last cycle and our 6 week post-op ban finally ended the beginning of this week. Yesterday (Tues) was the darkest OPK I've ever gotten...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Hi RT. The day-of payment requirement and missing bonus are definitely frustrating surprises, especially in combination. :(( I don't think there's a woman out there who has experienced infertility who hasn't considered how unjust/unfair/crappy it feels. You're definitely not alone - sending lots of ...

Re: The Official TTC for 6 Months or More Thread

PT, a vacation sounds HEAVENLY. We honeymooned on Maui back in 2008, and it was amazing. I hope you don't mind the advice, but please make sure you leave yourself plenty of time after your surgery before any trips. I was told 1-2 weeks completely dedicated to recovery (no work), and 6 weeks before e...

PT, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. It is so hard not to feel a bit jealous or resentful of those seemingly on the easy track to parenthood, even though you wouldn't wish your pain on your worst enemy, let alone your loved ones. I hope your heart can find some peace and that your rainbow baby ...

Re: The Official TTC for 6 Months or More Thread

I'm a week and a half post-op and, after throwing myself a pity party on my birthday a couple days ago, today I decided I should use the holiday to focus on the good and what I have to be thankful for. Turning 34 with no children, sutures in my belly, orders against any fooling around, let alone TTC...

Hi RT. I'm sort of here, but won't be actually TTC for a while now. See post above - I need to have a myomectomy and hysteroscopy before doc wants us trying any more. Surgery is scheduled for Nov 16. I wish it was next week so I could just get it over with.

Hi HP! Fingers crossed for you! I'm sitting in the waiting room for my scan. By some miracle, or maybe from working out a lot this weekend to try and speed things up, AF finished last night. Thanks, ladies. I really appreciate all your support. JGator - thanks, I needed the reminder that I'm not "that" old in the grand scheme of things, and while having trouble at any age is certainly far from ideal, we still should have time on our side if we're in this struggle for a long ha...

Thanks, ladies, I really appreciate your replies. Thinking back, I think I've used "no, but we hope to" a couple times, which seems like it could be a good middle ground and worth using more. I think what makes it hard at work is it's usually in the middle of somebody telling me about THEI...

I went through the same thing back when I was dealing with infertility. I'm really sorry. Maybe you could say something like, "Oh, that's such a personal question! I don't like to discuss my private life" or something like that. People are so inappropriate sometimes. Thanks, Laila. I wish...

Question - how do you cope/brace yourself/respond when well-meaning people seem to constantly bring up/ask about children, not knowing you've been desperately trying? I work amidst a group of very devoted parents, some with children under 2 and/or more on the way, and as a relative newcomer to the b...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Thanks, aviastar. I think this month was a bit of an emotional break for me - I pretty much detached myself from TTC, though I did at least take opks to give us decent BD timing, if not quantity. I think it was in part mental preparation for the upcoming US and possible news from that. Retail therap...

RT, I am so very very sorry. I've been quiet but checking in on you ladies. I needed a break from watching and talking about my cycle and TTC in general. Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Evergreen, the wondfo LH sticks come with a chart in the instructions that gives a suggestion of when to start testing based on your cycle length. CD9 for a 28 day cycle sounds about right. My first couple months using them, I tested twice a day to make sure I caught the surge, and the result was di...

Didn't test 7dpo, spent all day 7dpo telling myself not to test 8dpo. Still super early, but also in the range of what has turned up BFP on these boards (like April20, the early testing super-enabler).

I'm at least giving myself credit for not wasting a FRER, just a wondfo...
