Re:

Oh God don't say the T word. Not for me. I have twin brothers, that was enough of a twin experience for me to know it's not what I want. I also have just barely enough room in my apartment for one baby, two would mean moving which I really really don't want to do. Fingers crossed for ONE HEALTHY BE...

Thanks for checking in Jgator! I hope your time flies by! My appt is on Tuesday. I just talked to my doc today and confirmed he will do an ultrasound. He mentioned that my numbers from my bloodwork, the HCG, were low (113) but I don't know if he realizes that was only at 12DPO since I only saw the ...

Yes, we're definitely considering a van or SUV/crossover something or other! Aside from the safety/visibility, I've wanted one for a while, largely because I'm a DIYer who gets frustrated at not being able to get things home without getting really creative, getting help from a friend, or renting a t...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Well, I've been wishing I could stop focusing on symptoms, but not like this. I've mentioned that DH does a lot of driving for work. Today, on his way home from a trip, he hit a deer on the highway (around 10am...full daylight). He's ok, thank goodness, just really shaken up. He was in the left lane...

Fingers crossed, amc!! If you're critically concerned....I can't remember where you're located, but if it's available by you, you could consider Plan B. I know I've seen it over the counter in the aisle with the pee sticks/contraceptives at drugstores/Target, though it's pricey. It's supposed to sto...

Ruh roh. The bright side of this story is you're managing to get time in for you and *someone* w/ a 4mo old, but that may have just come to a grinding halt with him kicked to the doghouse! One hope is that the stress of a possible BFP will make ov late this month, maybe?

LC: That nurse was obviously uninformed as to what FAM involves. I, too, wondered if we were avoiding pregnancy because we were following FAM rules or if maybe there was actually something "wrong" with one of us. You can't help but wonder. I wouldn't worry about that being truly an issue ...

Baby M, I hope you feel better quickly and can get down to enjoying business! Yes, it was obvious she didn't understand FAM and/or equated it to the "rhythm" method, but what bothered me so much, I think, was the judgement in her face/tone. She wrote me off as an idiot in that instant, it ...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Well, I'm 8 or 9dpo, my temp finally stopped rising and dropped back some today, and still BFN this morning. Right now I've got some really mild cramp/pressure type feelings across the same area I feel menstrual cramps, so that has me completely distracted from the work I should be doing. It's too e...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Welcome, Evergreen! I've never had an IUD, so I'm afraid I'm not much help re: Mirena. I would assume, however, that it's a very individual thing, like with BCP, in that some women will get their cycle back immediately as if it nothing happened and others take a little longer. As for the HSG helping...

It's for science. The more BFN's I enter into fertility friend before a BFP, the more data they have for their BFN-before-BFP collection.

And, cuz why not, here's the link to my chart (set to auto-update): http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/239352

Well, I'm 7dpo, maybe only 6 since my temps were a bit hard to read, so still too early to be testing.

Other than that, my temps just keep rising - 98.8 this morning - and more watery-creamy CM. Oh, and BFN this morning.

I hope you are enjoying some of that cheap wine, RT. Big big hugs. AFM, I'm trying desperately to not let my hopes get up too much. It's getting harder by the minute, though. My temp was 98.6 yesterday and today, on dpo 4-5 or 5-6, and it never gets or stays that high before 8-10dpo. Then, I've got ...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Hahaha, man, maybe I should sneak some booze into my LP... Baby M, I get the total grumps as part of PMS, but not around ov that I've noticed. For my fatigue I think it's the progesterone spike, rather than the estrogen drop, because of timing. My estrogen-type CM always dries up by 0 or 1DPO, but I...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Does anybody else find themselves feeling incredibly fatigued the 2-3 days right after ov? I'm realizing now that it happens pretty much every month. I get to work and just CANNOT concentrate, can't stop yawning, and want nothing else but to curl up and take a nap. DH ate dinner without me yesterday...

Big hugs, BabyM. Feeling like you can't win even when you're doing everything right is a definite bummer. Thanks, AHL! I just tested again and the line is now a squinter by comparison, possibly even lighter than it was 5-6 days ago. Hoping for a solid temp spike tomorrow so I can take a week off from peeing on things (cuz, let's be honest - I won't make it much longer than that before giving in)!

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Mousey, I figured it was probably auto correct. AHL and Dandi, I've definitely heard of women not getting a fully dark line - you two are proof positive that it can happen despite a successful surge/ovulation. :) I tested SMU today around 9:30 and it was definitely fainter. I'll try again arou...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Congrats, Dandi! Sticky dust!!! My OPK tests today looked exactly like yesterday, darker, but not as dark as the control. However, my temps this month are matching, to the day and 10th of a degree, with my pre-ov temp pattern last month. I am betting that ov is still today/tomorrow and I just don't ...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

That's great news, AHL!! AFM, OPKs got slightly darker yesterday, but still not as dark as the control line. Today is CD19, I ov'd CD19, 20 and 20 the last 3 cycles, so I am dearly hoping for a positive today. I tested 4 times yesterday to make sure I didn't miss it, since I have no experience to kn...

Re: Let's talk baby names

Who wants to give me some middle name feedback/ideas? Her first name will be Eliza. I'm 99.99999% sure DH is on board for that. Thank you all I'm so excited! Of course now I'm panicking that it won't stick. I'm going to try and get to my Dr. today for a beta. Re: The Official TTC Thread!

How is everybody? Not much to report here. CD12, got my cheapie OPKs off Amazon and giving those a shot this month. I started using them early to get a baseline and have gotten a faint line every day, so at least I know they're working. Going to try the SMEP approach this month... BD every other day...
