Re: Show us your lotus rings!
mrsjacob- I agree that the color combo is lovely! I'm liking the east/west orientation of your gem :)) Also, little update, I am now the proud owner of mariedtiger's absolutely stunning natural blue topaz in the lush lotus setting. I gotta say, it's even more divine in person and quickly became one ... |

Re: Finally! I've got my own sapphire to show off
I gotta say, I love it! It has a dreamy, velvety quality that just seems to evoke an heirloom type feel, in my opinion at least. I'm sure you'll find the perfect setting for that lovely! |

Re: Local Jewelers in SE Michigan who have CS experience?
Maebelle, you are too kind I sent the sapphire out to Wink in Idaho, since I didn't really care for the Vatche dealer closest to me here in MI. I knew what I wanted and I wanted it done right! They did a superb job

Re: Local Jewelers in SE Michigan who have CS experience?
I wish I knew. I have yet to have a stone set locally, though I would love to be able to. There is Lawrence Jewelers up in Fort Gratiot that I like to visit, but I've yet to have something set by them. A few of the people there are really great and decently knowledgeable. good luck! |

Re: How much student loan debt do you/did you have?
I have about 45K and I just graduated this spring. I received quite a bit in scholarships, grants, and academic awards, all of which I worked very hard to earn. My parents are so far in debt that they couldn't even think about helping me out other than a pat on the back. I plan on continuing my educ... |

Re: Yes to this spess?
If you're not totally set on it, then maybe it's not worth it to keep. Although, I once picked up a spinel, but when I saw it irl it wasn't what I expected or what I was originally looking for. I kept it anyway. The more I looked at it, the more I liked it. I just got it set and I have to say I'm re... |

Bright Ice, while I can't say that I know what it's like to go through a divorce, I've watched my parents in theirs, and I've got to say it was probably the best thing for them. I've seen my FI get a concussion. He was out on the football field and took a weird hit. It was obvious to us in the stands that something wasn't quite right. He doesn't remember part of that game.
