I bought the holly blue chalcedony and pink star quartz. 4.69. chicago. thankfully, we sold our car when we moved here and don't really think about it. we do zipcar, though, and wonder if they're going to raise rates to compensate for the higher gas prices. SOMETHING is going to have to happen [they pay for gas]. |

For those of you who have a Gene Star 80 cut stone...
I got a totally amazing garnet in Gene's Star 80 cut [no pics of my own yet, sorry...his is attached]. My question -- how did you set your stone? Is it difficult to bezel because of the edges? I need setting ideas. I have so many but can't decide. Thoughts? |

hi! just saw this :) i have bezeled 3 or 4 of barry''s spinels and 3 of dan''s. all appear to be quite similar to their original, unbezeled color. the ring that julia made me with the 4 spinels are closed bezels -- there is silver around the stone, as well as closing off the bottom. i honestly don''... |
