Re: Someone please talk me out of buying this ring!

The ring is beautiful and looks perfect on your finger. I'm usually described as an enabler because if people can afford to have something worthwhile that they love, I encourage them. ;)) I'm of no help to you at all unless you know that you really would enjoy wearing this ring. More power to you. :...

Re: Do you like Eggnogs?

Eggnog is one of my favourite winter/Christmas drinks - depending on who makes it. My LMIL introduced me to hers and it was 'love at first sip' and then a colleague made some - utter bliss until I had a second glass and then

Why can't I walk?????

Re: SHOW ME HOLIDAY DECORATIONS!

OMG texasj. That IS SUPER creepy. I would NOT be happy to have that welcome me on my way to work in the morning. SPeaking of creepy. My mom got me a VERY creepy elf last year. I was frankly horrified when I opened the box: http://www.judesfantasyland.com/balloonelf.html And I am planning on keeping...

Re: setting up a small company -- any tips?

This is less a business issue and more a personal one but I felt the need to say it..... A big problem with both of you working together in the house is separating work from home. What happens in the office stays in the office and there is office time and home time and they are not the same hours. ...

Re: Showing off my 2.30ct I VS2 VSB Fluor Octavia..

C'mon DF, what gives??? We've done due diligence in preparing for this - studying charts, Rhino's input, guessing the colour and clarity......to the point where I think we should see a picture or 14 of the gorgeous ring. :wall: Don't be sly, or we'll start wondering whether you speak the truth. :big...

Happy hatched day!!!
Getting old stinks!

The alternative stinks, Karl. As long as one Octavia knows its heritage, Karl will be our in-house genius.

If not for you, Kenny and DF would be downright ornery  . That would be hard to take! :wavey:

Re: the MIA thread....anybody heard from (fill in the name)

Kaleigh, it's great to hear from you again !!!! You were a big help to me years ago when I hoped to have an asscher with a pave halo. You offered to speak to the 'bench' that made yours. How kind of you! :wink2: :appl: I'm still waiting, but not sure I'd like an asscher; now, I'm thinking the Octavi...

Re: Which USA states have you been to?

Looking at your map of the US, I can see that most of our travel has been along the eastern seaboard. When it was too expensive to fly for our family of four, we did a road trip  (brave souls that we were). We chose two weeks in the summer (last week of July and the first week of August) f...

Re: USPS Registered Mail for ring shipment?

If sending a package from Canada, no carrier wants to cover jewellery. Period. The two big ones (FedEx and UPS) will insure up to $500. excluding jewellery and combustibles. Canada Post will give you a tracking number if it's insured for $200. or more. Still no jewellery, though. I have been forced ...

Re: Cat surgery -- to biopsy or not??

What a tough decision, PT! :(( . As a life-long lover of kitties, I can only tell you what I would do and why. I would spend the money on kitty's tests. If nothing was found, that's good news; however, if it's an aggressive cancer, I would vote to keep her comfortable for as long as you can and foll...

Re: Found this ring stuck in my grandmothers jewelry box.

If your jeweler charges to identify the stones (especially diamonds) go to another jeweler who doesn't.

Madam, Hermes certainly knows how to attract customers to their high end products. If you just want 'a little something' without breaking the bank', they offer beautiful gold pendants. I VS2? Nice, that should look great on the hand, I can't wait for pics! Yes, I was hoping for an H color, but the cutter have no control of its the color, clarity and the fluor.
