Re: Let's talk baby names

These are the same things I struggle with. I don't want new cars, I feel blessed to have two healthy kids I worry about having more How do people decide? It's such a huge decision. I'm guessing that having an infant and a 3 year old is a bad time to decide anything, ha. The other thing I think abou...

Congratulations, Icekid!!! How old are your little ones now? I'm not even sure I knew you had #2!!! :o Thanks, dani. Our first, a currently sweet little boy is 4.5. Super sassy, too smart for our own good will be 2 at the end of Sept. Time flies! Little terrified of the impending chaos... :bigsmile...

I am JBP too, but hardly around on ps anymore. 10 weeks with #3. Had I truly remembered how sick and tired and awful being pregnant makes me, I would not have done it again! GAH. That said, I am thankful our little parasite seems healthy thus far.

Re: PS Mommy thread with toddlers 12-36 months

Yes, the saga of the MCAT...I despise this test with every fiber of my being. DH took it twice last year and go a low score the first time, and an even lower score the second time (he was in horrible pain with multiple herniated disks in his back and in retrospect should not have taken the test the...

Re: Leon 3 carat pad maybe I made a mistake

Wow, just came across this thread. What a great deal. I am super jealous! Have to admit I was hoping that you were going to decide to sell it :D (I have a September baby girl and have been looking for a blue sapphire for her, but would have happily taken this beauty instead.) Congrats!

Re: Are Anesthesiologists Failed Surgeons?

What?! I could say a lot of nasty things about surgeons, but will not because I am a professional :cheeky: I am an anesthesiologist and assure you, never did I have any desire (nor fail) to be a surgeon. Anesthesiology residency is 4 years; general surgery is 5. Both specialties may have additional ...

Re: Am I crazy for wanting a c-section?

Amc- I surely would not blame you for preferring a c/s after that experience! I had a relatively easy induction, but the recovery from tearing and swelling etc was much more significant than I ever imagined. Just curious...for the mamas who have opted for a c/s, how did your insurance company feel a...

Re: DD Update - Please Get Second Opinions

Mayk- If my son needed a neurosurgical procedure, I would not think twice and would take him directly to Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. It is where I trained, though in another field. Dr. Jallo is great, as is Dr. Ahn. I think the (very famous) Ben Carson is retiring or has cut back significantly. IMO,...

It actually did, Icekid. The competition was so fierce it brought her grade point average down just a wee bit.she graduated from Pepperdine in pre med and didnt get accepted to her school of choice. Eventually she got in to another school. Why would I lie? I am certainly not saying you were not tol...

Re: Doctors with foreign medical degrees-what do you think?

Honestly, being a doctor is not THAT hard. For most routine things, PAs and NPs are very effective. US med schools do not graduate enough physicians for the future demand, with the ACA and our aging population. I can't see it making any difference for the vast majority of people. Wow, I would love ...
