Re: Love the setting but, oh, the diamond...
Check the measurements of the smaller stones. With the measurements & depth of the 1.5 you posted (7.21 - 7.24), odds are good that the smaller stones are very close in width. With 64% depth you are paying for diamond you can't see. If the smaller stones are close as close in face up size as I s... |

Re: Mega bling - 23.86ct diamond
The rock has been completed, the final weight of the primary diamond from the rough came in at 7.30ct. You can see in the first photo the sister rough that has yet to be polished. It will yield another diamond but for now looks good next to the big brother. http://www.pricescope.com/files/images/fin... |

Mega bling - 23.86ct diamond
Here are a few photos of a rough diamond, 23.86ct. It is not exactly mega bling yet, but it will be when the cutting is finished. http://www.pricescope.com/files/images/Rough_23_86.jpg http://www.pricescope.com/files/images/2386.jpg The rock is undergoing cutting now... will post more photos later a... |

The problem I have is that I can acutally see the feather with the naked eye (When I look at it closely from the side view of the pavilion. Looks like a tiny black dot). When I turn it around, the dot is reflected on more than one facet of the pavilion. (sorry if my terminology is not correct) I am... |

I was at the postoffice a couple of months ago sending a package. As I quickly counted my change (as he handed it to me) I thought something was wrong. It is for certain that NOT all stones that are considered ideal cut would contain the H&A pattern. In order for a stone to be considered H&A the arrows and points must be 'perfect'. While a lot of ideal cut stones will display at least some resemblance of the H&A pattern, in order for it to be consi... |

Yep, quite disgusting! You walk into the shop to purchase a ring, and what you are actually buying is the store, employees, insurance & marketing. The actual item you walk out with is worth less than the non-tangibles. I much prefer to spend my money with the low overhead Internet sources (for most ... |

AGS will not release the criteria they use to the public, drop them an email or give them a call... they will not release the specs to you unless you are a member of the trade. Not something I personally agree with, but from personal experience I know this to be the case. Robert Gunther |

Grading with a micoscope is also much different (much better I find). It is easier to see, things are not moving around (like your hand, or the loupe) AND you can crank up the power to 50x or 60x and take a good look at things. While a diamond grade is set with 10x, I always look at much higher powe... |

You can see color flashes anywhere the filler has been added, not just the edges. If you can't find a pre made setting that you like - due to height - your only alternative would be to have one made. Find the style of setting you like, and have someone make one for you. I agree with the others, your mind is making it appear more yellow. An H color diamond will not appear as yellow as you say. Also, the material it is set in can make it appear a little different.
