Re: Tsavorite and diamond danglies
I. Love. Them. They're v.elegant, too . . . like you could wear them on a fancy night. And such an incredible deal! I'm always amazed when people we know treat us so rudely when we show off a new sparkly. I don't care if it's b/c they're jealous/think we're showing off, OR if they simply aren't inte... |

Re: Certificate of authenticity for mahenge spinel
No certificate for me, either, but I honestly never thought about it. With the secretive way of shipping, likely he doesn't include it with the stone for the sake of safety. And, like TL says . . . if you're nervous about it not being real, a "hey, this is a Mahenge spinel" note taped to t... |

Re: Pink FCD Final Lineup!
That link doesn't bring anything up but basically a blank page. Help me out. How do I find that setting? Their site claims you'll see that page if you register/login. They limit the archive contents for non-members. I registered, though, and only get error messages, so . . . it may be down right now. |

Re: Opinions
I'm not really good at reading these yet. But . . . of these two, I definitely prefer the larger -- the smaller looks a little too dark. It's so difficult to judge by a single picture like this, especially a comparison shot, b/c they have to share the shot. But the smaller's cut looks a little blah.... |

Re: Pixy Joins the Mahenge Fan Club
Am I ruining the story by jumping in right now? I can clearly see that the pear trumps the 2 ovals in the group picture, even though the pear is the smallest one. Re: Pixy Joins the Mahenge Fan Club
Eric was really steadfast in his recommendation that the pear, though small, was the top for me. This felt like a really truthful recommendation, because the other gems were more pricey. Re: Pixy Joins the Mahenge Fan Club
At 1.32ct, the pear was 7.6 x 5.6 x 4.35. And I worried that it's small stature was just too tiny to be able to appreciate the color . . . which is why we're all here. So I asked about others. Pixy Joins the Mahenge Fan Club
I've looked at the Mahenge spinels on Swala's site for a long time now. It was pretty clear (at least in my mind) that Eric was "The Man" to see about one. Selection, knowledge, etc. I didn't have a great budget, but there was one little pear on his site that looked really suitable. In the... |

It's gorgeous, that's a great enviable size! When do we see yours? I see why all of Eric's shots of mine have it on it's side. Re: Your thoughts on this spess/diamond combo
It's a great size and if you see no brown, then I LOVE it. I like it with the emerald sides, but I probably wouldn't do melee down the shank. I think the three stone with a plain band would have a lovely classic look. Seems like with the emerald sides, you might have total finger coverage, too -- so... |
