Go to dana point - near laguna beach. the st. regis hotel is gorgeous - as well as the montage - they are kind of pricey (i went to a wedding there) but the area is gorgeous!!! -Ariana |

Hi, I think the price of the stone not only depends on the cut but really the color intensity...i'm sure there is a pretty big price range...i think i've seen prices like $80,000 to $500,000 so i guess it depends on color. Hi Nathan, I agree w/ Ricardo on going with a bezel setting. My best friend's engagement ring is a bezel-set princess stone and it looks much larger than it is. So, yes, I'd consider a bezel setting... Another thing to keep in mind, round brilliants ARE more expensive than other shapes like princess... |

I think I like a lighter pink - I love pink sapphires. When I did my e-ring (gemesis cultured yellow diamond) I was told that pink cultured diamonds will be coming out in october/november. I don't know if chatham already does them, but I have never seen either one - that might be a neat option becau... |

I'd also go w/ hearts on fire over tiffany, although I love the tiffany setting. What does the hearts on fire setting look like? I love this band - but i think the stones are larger than 8pts - they're like 20 pts. each. |

I could be wrong, but are you sure they are within the diamond? If they are in earrings or a ring and are worn often, they could just be dirty and have grease/dirt/buildup underneath the stone. Try cleaning it at home or having it professionally cleaned...i'm pretty sure it's just dirt. |

I have a gemesis diamond that i bought online and it's gorgeous - vivid yellowish orange. I would highly recommend at least taking a look at them. I don't think your table is too large - it's more of a medium table. I agree w/ the others - if you like the stone and the setting, why not keep it? With diamonds it's not just about getting the best price (although that is one aspect). It takes time and effort to find what you like, find a jeweler ... |

I know that for the fluorescent scale for diamonds (GIA scale) it goes: none faint (least amount) medium strong very strong (most amount) I am not sure where "distinct blue" falls or why EGL uses that term. my guess would be around medium or strong? i'm not sure... -ariana |
