Re: Help Me Choose A Diamond

I'd be most comfortable with the numbers on the second stone, but we'd have to have the magnified images of the stones as well as an idealscope or ASET image to be sure of anything. In addition, a couple of these have clouds not shown, and I am always cautious of these to be sure the brilliance of t...

Re: Gaps in asscher set in cushion-shaped halo

Yeah, that's not good. I would demand that be fixed. Frankly I can't believe they thought it would be acceptable. Ive seen it before My bet is that that is an example of someone just buying a setting out of the jewelry case and not a special order. In this case, I have to wonder if this was a stock...

Re: Gaps in asscher set in cushion-shaped halo

I agree, that setting is for a round stone only. If you chose that setting and asked them to order it, I am not sure they'll allow a return. You did need to ask what settings could be adapted for an asscher before ordering. I do think the jeweler was very wrong to order than without telling you it w...

Re: Would you wear your regular everyday jewelry if you..

No, I absolutely would not wear any significant diamond jewelry when doing any kind of charity work with the poor. I would feel that it was flaunting wealth and would never want to do that to those who are less fortunate. As others have said, I do not even wear my diamond rings in my own kitchen, ei...

Re: Showering: How Long? Navy Shower or Hollywood Shower?

I shower for maybe 10 min when not washing hair and 15 when I do wash hair. I wash my hair 3-4 times a week. We have never had any kind of water restrictions here other than not watering lawns in a drought. I could do it all in half the time, but I love the shower! Oh, and never, ever would I turn t...

Re: Experience With Brian Gavin Advance

I assume those are diamonds that are not back from AGS grading yet. I think you could put a deposit on one and then make sure it comes out as Signature H&A (seeing all the images and grading report) before finalizing the sale. I would want no obligation to wait for a replacement if I didn't like...

I agree, no wraps. I don't think those would work, anyway. Your ring is beautiful! Enjoy it as it is!

Re: What do you think of this diamond based on ASET

Well you are right that they certainly have some interesting ASET images! I think the second one looks better. I think I would choose that one. It would be good to check inclusions if they have a video, but it probably is fine.

Re: My Leon Mege 3 Stone Has Arrived!!

Gorgeous ring! Always size when the weather is hot and the finger is largest. You just have to manage in the winter with a ring snuggie or ring noodle or something like that. However, if you are wearing a band with the ring, that should help make it more snug.

Re: DBTY rose gold with platinum bezel

Just wanted to say I think that would be beautiful! I like the bezels to just look like part of the diamonds. White metal will make the diamonds look bigger as opposed to colored metal.

Re: Help with August Vintage Cushion/Setting

Maybe GOG can come up with some other halo options for you. However, if you can work out a way to swing the 2620, I think it would be worth it in the long run.

Re: Victor Canera Experience

Victor is a master jewelry maker and it is a privilege for me to have things made by him. I respect the fact that he knows immeasurably more than I do about making jewelry, and I know his standards are very high. So he doesn't need me micro-managing what he does. He knows what melee looks the best. ...

Re: Please help my brother-in-law find a beautiful diamond

I checked James Allen through the PS search because they allow you to screen by HCA score. That ruled out a LOT of JA stones, unfortunately. The best one I found cut and size wise had an inclusion right under the table and I didn't want to post it. So I really did check there! I just don't recommend...

Re: Thoughts about this diamond pendant & value for the mone

I helped my sister buy a long DBTY necklace, and I had trouble getting through to LouAnn. So I would just call and speak to anyone. I would tell them that you found them on Pricescope. That way they will be more attentive to quality, hopefully. I would just be too afraid of the quality to buy that o...

Re: Thoughts about this diamond pendant & value for the mone

In that case, my suggestion is to definitely put the money towards your setting for the diamond you already have. That will make a much more impressive pendant! I think you should contact ID Jewelry. Truly, they make some nice pieces for reasonable rates. They may not have to do total custom. They m...

Re: Thoughts about this diamond pendant & value for the mone

Do you know the brand? Is it new or pre-loved? I honestly am a little wary when a listing says SI2 melee because I think better quality pieces will have SI1 and higher. The 18k is good, though.

Re: Help! with Mother's ring ideas

Ahhh, well if the stones are set inside the shank, then you will be fine! I love those rings with diamonds! I don't know how they'd do with putting gloves on and off, but that is true of any rings. I think these would be lovely mother's rings, though, with the hidden stones!

Re: GIA Laboratory Alert

I read that earlier. It is great that GIA caught it and knew the report numbers of the stones affected. It is just troubling that this is bound to continue to be a problem, and who knows how often it isn't caught.

Re: What do you think of this diamond based on ASET

You know, I like that they use a white background on their ASETs, but they haven't mastered getting a good image. It appears to have light leakage in the center, but in actuality it just simply may be they are shining a light too close to the stone or something. There are some white reflections in t...
