Hip Sneakers for Bad Back

Hello old friends, Seems I've herniated a disc in my back ... and the doctor is telling me I need to wear squishy shoes all the time. Even around the house. Well I'm the worst at picking out cool sneakers so I was wondering if you stylish ladies have any suggestions. Ideally I'd love at least one pa...

Re: very bad situation...ATTN WEBDIVA

I'm so sorry you and your pups are going through this! Wanted to recommend you check out a blog called "Ramshackle Glam" & look up her posts about when one of her pets lost an eye. He's perfectly fine now & just looks "winky" and adorable. I know you were hoping for the p...

Re: Your FOREVER bling pieces - how do you do it?

From the time she got terminally ill and esp when she passed away, I began to think that I needed to enjoy the hard fruits of my lavour - why save and scrimp when you could pop off any moment? But then recently (like this past year or so), I realised that this was silly thinking and silly behaviour...

Re: Feeling like a major brat about my ring...

I know this sounds crazy, but it would also be a fun and therapeutic exercise to re-tell your story in as ROMANTIC way as possible. All through your courtship, there MUST have been a million fun and romantic times.... and then it all came together at your WEDDING, possibly your first pregnancy? (no...

Re: Feeling like a major brat about my ring...

Well, this may sting a bit. You say at the time YOU knew nothing about diamonds either. So kind of a double standard if you ask me. Do you have the right to be disappointed in your e-ring? Of course! But I think, as a complete outsider, the resentment you have towards your husband is very unfair. I...

Re: Most memorable anniversary?

Our fourth ... we were on a cruise and that particular day/night we were in Mykonos, Greece! I wish we could find a way to be there EVERY anniversary. HA! Just timed out perfectly so it was super memorable.

Hope you find something fun for your Fifth & congrats!

Re: My Beaudry Asscher Dream Ring (with side pink sapphires)

I'm not around much but I had to pop on and say WOW -- I am so happy for you. What a gorgeous finished project! And it looks scrumptious with your coloring.

How are you liking the asscher? I'm always interested to know how other diamond=lovers respond in person to these slippery, quirky devils!
Re: Ring Rage

YOU have picked the absolute least convenient time to proceed. NO ONE ELSE. YOU. Hold your damn horses man. Some people spend six months or a year researching a ring -- and many rings take 6-8 weeks to complete and STILL aren't correct the first time. So - keep that in mind when formulating your exp...

Re: What bling is on your Xmas wish-list?

Nada really. But in the new year, maybe a pair of medium sized gold hoops (rose or white)? I think I'm at the point where I have more pieces than I can wear enough to make it worth it. Haven't really been feeling bling in the last few months. Though I did just pick up a TDF buttermilk leather moto j...

Re: Is This Why He Did It?

Karl and AGBF Is there a support group for those dealing with the mental issues of family and friends? Sort of like an "Al-Anon" for mental illness? If there isn't, there really should be. It would help people to share resources, tips, stories. It doesn't seem fair that each family has to...

London Must Sees (circa 2012)

I have a trip coming up and thought I'd ask if anyone has any recent ABSOLUTELY MUST DO THAT suggestions for someone who hasn't been in about a decade. Re: Uber-specific Makeup Help Requested, Beauty Gurus!

THANKS EVERYBODY!!!! iLander was right and I was able to eventually pry open my Pixi compact to find the sponge inside. So I'll probably give that a go for a bit. But I'm super psyched to have more highly recommended options! Should have mentioned that I already use Bare Minerals here at the house. ...

Gosh that strikes me as very 50's -- maybe I think so because my mom has an aquamarine ring almost like it. It really doesn't look like a diamond. Paste maybe?

Re: What's On Your Grocery List?

We *just* went shopping so the extent of it right now is:

Eggs
Lactaid
Dannon Coffee Yogurt
Giant tub of detergent from Sam's Club

BUT -- now I have to add Pom Pom, Chocolate covered *something*, and find a way to chaw through the four Fuji apples I have so I can replace with Honeycrisp I guess!

Re: Long time friend ripped into me

The cyclical nature of this makes me wonder if there's something a bit off with her. It makes no sense to be upset with your son for his voice ringing through their house. It's HER son that doesn't have headphones! Buy some friggin headphones for him, Crazy Lady. So her complaints don't seem *ration...

Re: Ok to diss large diamond but rude to diss small e-ring?

It seems to always be ok to comment/poke fun/criticize something that is viewed as a 'good thing' by the majority of society. Skinny women are supposed to be ok with comments about their weight, obese women are not. Women who look young hear about it all the time (even when it's not-so-nice teasing...
