Re: Dressy shoe help-- arthritis issues

Just saw this on Anthro so popped back to post. No heel ... but more lacy & delicate than a normal flat. Might feel fancy enough.

Re: *Critique my CADs: 2-ct. ACA Pendant Re-set*

I'm not sure what it gains over the original? Hmmm. It does look a bit blocky from the one angle. But swoopier from another. Hard to say!

Re: My engagement ring upsets me. Please Help

Stop wearing it. See what happens. You've had the discussion. He's not taking you seriously. Show you are serious. You can "be engaged" without wearing a particular ring. I'm not saying call off the engagement. Just put your feelings into action as much as he did (by giving you the "f...

Re: What color polish are you rocking right now?

I have forest green OPI on my toes and a pale cream color on my nails (which are longer than usual and driving me CRAZY). Will try to snap a pic before I clip or gnaw them down to size.

puppy. house color/house. complexion. (which i've always thought was kind of ruddy and average.) ideas/jokes. Not sure about the order of the last three but puppy is by far #1.

Amy Poehler. Her smart girl initiative inspires me all the time ... even as an adult. I also adore Louis C.K. .. and fashion-wise, Jennifer Garner.

Re: Thoughts on Richmond, VA?

My sister lives near Short Pump right outside of the city proper (?) Downtown might have "city crime" but I think the suburbs are safe. Her boys are in public school & they're happy with it so far. Plan to stay in Richmond for the duration. Good luck w/your hunt! (If there were MORE te...

Re: Earrings + Necklace too much in some cases?

I'm in an undone period. With my studs and other diamond earrings AND necklaces going unworn!!! It's such a waste too! I never take my engagement ring and wedding band off (seriously) -- and still really enjoy wearing my big heavy black-faced men's dive style watch (with bracelets on the opposite ar...

Re: Calling Handbag Pros!

I have a Liebeskind (sp?) tote bag that's really fun and has been smooshy but durable (I use it as a weekender/travel piece mostly). So I like the brand. I'd avoid chain link if you can for a casual bag. It's HEAVY! I've been using a cheapie thrift store crossbody recently because it just seems to a...

I think this is a cute option in a similar colorway ... more inspired by Celine than Balenciaga ... but summery, cross-body & lightweight to boot:

Re: Good jeweler in the Rhinebeck NY area?

I'll 2nd or 3rd the Hummingbird recommendation. It is, BY FAR, the best place in the area. They even get some nice antique pieces from time to time -- from wealthy consigners or estates in the area. But if you're looking for an engagement stone - I doubt they'd be quite as good of a deal as some of ...

Re: Deco's Ill-planned Urgent NC Thread!!!!!!!!

Maybe find the local Chamber of Commerce and ask for a relocation package? They should have a list of Realtors' in the area, and/or their business cards and general information on display. Even though you're not looking to move right away, I don't think it could hurt to check it out. Also, I'd reco...

Thanks, friends! We need to stay near Research Triangle area for tech job prospects for DH. And haven't consulted a realtor yet as our move is at least a year or two (or five) away. This trip is mostly just to rule IN or rule OUT NC for our *next* stop in life.

We'll see!!!! :)

I've lived in Cary, NC for two years now (only five more weeks until we move!) and I would not describe it as liberal-- and I suspect you and I fall on pretty similar areas of the political spectrum. ;) I would describe Cary as suburban, upper middle class, white, and relatively conservative.
