Re: I need help. Is my diamond diameter too small?

your pavilion angle is what is causing the HCA score unfortunately which causes some leakage here. I don't mind the crown actually BUT again your pavilion has to work with the crown angle.

ETA: your crown angle could be lessen just a wee bit like I said maybe down in the 34 range

Re: I need help. Is my diamond diameter too small?

look for another diamond. Use this HCA tool to help you reject some poor performers http://www.pricescope.com/tools/hca under 2 preferably... Sometimes in the 2 range is pretty and I don't knock those down at all but you will need more evaluation done. The diameter on your stone is not bad. if you w...

Nice Sparklie!... Glad he was able to cut something for you. Re: Help picking out deep blue/purple sapphire for center st

Pic Love this stone. I suspect this will be more purple IRL. I had a similar color gem from RH years ago, and one thing that I like about Concave Cuts is that even in low lighting my gem seems to still "sparkle" glow , I've had a few Concave cut gems from Richard. He'll definitely chat wi...

Re: Opinion on this 1.1 carat "champagne" diamond

I've seen references to Victor Canera in several other posts. I went to the site and found a setting I really love. Is this a high end type of thing or is it something in my budget? High End, hand forged, out of your budget :(( However, David Klass would be in your budget check out his thread in sh...

Re: Advice needed on baguette diamonds

some places to look at. I really like the look of baguettes set horizontally as Circe mentioned and I too am a big fan of channel set as the straight lines of the channel comfortable but also for the uninterrupted lines. http://www.thefacetscollection.com/Channel-Set-Asscher-Cut-s/1846.htm http://ww...

Re: How about this one from White Flash 3.07 AGS 0

Very Pretty!

med blue fluoro-no, it will not be oily/milky. Very few will see this, and it has to be VERY Strong Fluorescence to be oil/milky and even then most Diamonds will not exhibit this attributes.

Re: Double Checking before purchasing

how do you know what the crown/pavilion angle is to determine the HCA? I don't see any info when I click on your links. In anycase, I might Nix the G unless you have amazing crown/pavilion angle to compensate for the Depth and Table- even then you'll need more info, ASET Idealscope this one is a bit...

Re: Please help, is this Zales engagement ring a good buy???

I just don't think that a K color stone is going to look a lot whiter because of fluorescence because one isn't in UV lighting all that much, and a K princess in a halo is going to show the tint. Plus, to be honest, that last stone posted has black globs in it. Some people aren't too bothered by so...

Re: Please help, is this Zales engagement ring a good buy???

I know you weren't looking at Ks however I wanted to show you this, as this has strong blue fluro that will probably face up much whiter than "normal" ks without blue fluro. Although you may see some inclusions, princess are very good at hiding them due to their facet pattern, and even tho...

Re: Should I be concerned about these table inclusions on I1

Looks to be eye clean. The prongs will cover that slight carbon inclusion. This is super magnified image. The facet pattern and all sparkle brillance and fire will mask the inclusion. You need to resize this image down to a more realistic size and I doubt you will be able to pick it out and it you d...

Re: Multiple Castings.. Custom Engagement Ring?

I think perhaps what they meant to say that they cannot produce you a wax to show or try on, because they will be in multiple pieces. The wax melts away during casting. I have done custom work with multiple waxes for pieces of the ring had to be cast separately, mostly because I was working with two...

Re: Good Combination? Need advice!

oh boy, the size difference is very neglible. between the two, I would ask for an Idealscope and maybe their input. the depth is slightly deeper too at which point I would start to ask for more images just to confirm leakage issue but I do like this new stone too.

Re: David Klass Montana Sapphire Five Stone & Spinel Three S

Hi Jereni! :wavey: thank you. I hadn't asked Grace about this band whether she made it or an estate piece. hmmm, would you have a mind clean problem even if it was bezelled and it was hidden, would you have a problem with it? Me, personally, I would not like to have my e-ring to have a chip. Re: Good Combination? Need advice!

the crown angle on the 1.13 is just a bit steeper, but my honest opinion since I've had both 32 degree and 35.5 crown angle diamonds before, I like the steeper crown angle the best with the right combo and gives just a bit more fire than the shallow crown. I think you will be pleased with the diamon...

honestly... I would go with the 1.13 as that has overall balance of fire and brilliance.
