Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Yep, I'm still here, just lurking occasionally! I am 28 weeks on Wednesday, woohoo, third trimester! I have an ultrasound tomorrow as I am taking part in a study and will also have another at 36 weeks. Then on Wednesday I have the GTT test. They have gotten rid of the one hour test here now and just...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Hi pregnant mamas! I'm currently 16w4d. Pregnancy has been relatively easy so far, except for feeling ugly and fat as I started out this pregnancy 10kg over my normal weight and my skin is still getting massive breakouts, and being tired. We decided to book a private 3d scan to find out the gender a...

Re:

Congrats AMC! Are you starting to feel excited or are you still totally overwhelmed? DH and I aren't decided about a third. I am about 90% sure I don't want one, and that is mostly based on logistical and financial pressures so I understand where you are coming from. I just need to take a minute to ...

Re: "Just Barely" Pregnant PS''ers

Congratulations urseberry! What is your due date? I read 'up the duff' by Kaz Cooke during my first pregnancy and really didn't like it, so I don't have any book recs. I'm not really planning on reading any books this time round, as pretty much all the info you need can be found online and from your...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

4ever I'm sorry to hear about your baby girl's heart defect. I have this vague recollection that you are in Australia, is that right? Have you contacted Heartkids? I am sure they would be able to put you in touch with some support groups. I am glad you and your husband are feeling a bit better about...

The Official TTC Thread!

*walks around ringing ye olde second pink line bell* HEAR YE, HEAR YE, WE HAVE A SECOND LINE! Yay, so exciting bobbin :)) :wavey: LOL, thank you for that very enthusiastic congratulations! Thank you Asscherhalo! April, I *think* I ovulated on the 11th or 12th November, which would have made me 11-1...

Thanks ladies! Still very faint this morning, but slightly more visible. Not sure if you will be able to see it in the photo.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Pretty sure I got a BFP today! It was VERY faint, I was sure I could see it but it was VERY VERY faint. I think I went cross eyed looking at that test! I went out for a few hours and when I came back the second line was darker and more visible, but I am not sure if I should rely on that.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

I'm officially TTC!!! We were thinking of starting next month but after talking about it a lot yesterday we decided that there wasn't any point in waiting for one more month. I'm not sure of my cycle length at the moment, but should be close to ovulation in the next five days or so (just assumptions...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Well, I definitely wasn't pregnant! Period started on Saturday 12 September. Then I had a 21 day cycle, which is shorter than I think I used to have but I didn't ever really track them too much. We are not trying this month though. I was made redundant! I had a second job (contracting) anyway, but t...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

I took the pill for the last time on Monday, so I have missed 3 pills so far. Normally, I miss 2 pills and get the withdrawal bleed on the 3rd day, so it should have been due yesterday. But nothing so far! I even POAS yesterday afternoon because it was strange - but it was negative (it would have be...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

I'm no help with charts evergreen. I haven't looked into the technical side of TTC much. We have a 3 year old DD already and she was only half-planned (I know that sounds weird). We had made the decision to start TTC in 6 months time, and after we made that decision we took chances with contraceptio...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

So we are preparing to start TTC, so I ordered some HPT from ebay.... accidentally had the postage address set as my parents' house. Whoops!

I have contacted the seller to ask them to change it, I hope they do, we haven't told my parents we are going to start TTC soon!

Re: Wanting but Waiting...

I've had a summer baby and a winter baby. I'd take a winter baby any day. It's much better in terms of being heavily pregnant. And I'd rather worry about a baby being cold than overheating. I will say that with B, I got pregnant immediately. We timed baby 2 ASSuming it would happen again (we wanted...

Re: Wanting but Waiting...

As of next month, there is no 'real' impediment to us starting to TTC  But we are trying to work out when we should start. We are building a house. They haven't started on site yet, but at this stage I am expecting completion in around June 2016. It would be better if we are already in the ho...

Re: Wanting but Waiting...

4ever.. Are you going to move over to the TTC thread now? So.. I got that 2nd job that I mentioned before! But it's a contracting position, which obviously means that if I go on mat leave, they don't need to keep my job open for me. So bearing that in mind, I would like to maintain both jobs until w...

Re: Wanting but Waiting...

Hi ladies! This thread has been quiet for a few months! I am feeling really impatient too 4ever. Well, at least that is how I feel today.

12 months feels like a long way away right now.

Re: Wanting but Waiting...

I thought I'd check in too. We are still looking at starting to TTC in December 2015. I have become a lot more 'meh' about it though. I feel a bit overwhelmed with life at the moment. Between work stress (I'm a lawyer), study, husband studying, planning stages of building a house, being sick all the...

Re: Wanting but Waiting...

4ever, I don't know the reasons behind the 9-10 month wait but that time will FLY by. If it will mean you are in a better financial/career/personal position, I would wait. I used to watch one born every minute a lot when I was pregnant, and as I learnt more about birth towards the end of the pregnan...

Re: Wanting but Waiting...

I have officially shifted and am really clucky. I have started to be able to see the positive benefits to Charlotte of having a sibling and as she isn't so demanding now she's almost 2, I can imagine having 2. Typical, as we are not in any way able to start TTC now and probably won't be in a positio...

Re: PS Mommy thread with toddlers 12-36 months

Quick check in for me too! Charlotte is 16 months this week. We are constantly battling illness from daycare, but apart from that things are going well. It struck me today how much people rely on body language, expressions and gestures for communication. I feel like Charlotte and I have very involve...

Re: Let's talk about maternity bras (especially above DDD)..

I was a DD before pregnancy. At 14 weeks I was an E-F depending on brand and I didn't really grow any more for the rest of the pregnancy. After my milk came in, I went up to a G cup. I am now still nursing at 15 months, and I went back down to a DD-E cup about 2 months ago (I lost about 10kg at the ...

Nel: I'm a Halloween baby (30 October) and I have only ever had one halloween birthday party! But that's probably because I'm Australian and it isn't really a big holiday here. Re: Wanting but Waiting...

I've been slowly shifting from 'having another baby now would be hell on earth' to 'I'd like another baby soon but I'm not sure I'm quite ready' over the last month or so, and I can feel that I am becoming more and more ready. However, we are not in a position to even think about TTC at the moment. ...

Hi Mamas! I cannot believe that I now belong in this thread! How did that happen? Nope, Mayerling, I definitely want to have no less than a 3.5 year gap between Charlotte and our next child! At this point I even have thoughts of "maybe we should only have one?" But I know I will eventually want another! I just can't imagine doing it all again so soon, and DH has just be...
