Re: CVB LAD Communication?

I've ordered many handmade custom items that take months to complete, some of which have been very popular and have waiting lists that are years long. I have found that these companies generally have a web page that they update weekly or biweekly that let's people know where they are in the process....

Re: Need a brilliant moisturiser! Help!

My husband has really dry skin. I started making my own soap, which really helped (it's easy, just basic chemistry). We also have a few friends who are Dermatologists and they recommended ceramide creams. We buy the Cerave cream, and it really helps.

Re: Cleaning a diamond with chlorine

I think you mean straight chlorine bleach, and not pure chlorine. Chlorine is a gas, and was used as a chemical weapon in the world wars. Anyway, chlorine bleach will react with the alloys in the gold and will crack the setting. Even so, there are better ways to clean the diamond. You could try just...

Re: Settings and sensitive hands (arthritis)

That's a good point about the plain shanks. Do you think pave is uncomfortable? I haven't had well done pave before. Channel set might be an option. So far I get around the size issue by having rings in multiple sizes. I did size my wedding set up, but some days I can't wear it. I don't want to ruin...

Re: Settings and sensitive hands (arthritis)

Thanks, I'll look their site over. A cursory glace at it makes me wonder if having the detailing set on the sides of the shank might give me the unique feel that I want, but still be comfortable. Since I'll be ordering this online I won't be able to try it on first, so I am hoping for some first han...

Settings and sensitive hands (arthritis)

I wasn't sure how to title it. I have arthritis in my hands, and when it flares up I have a fair amount of pain. I've noticed that lately I have been choosing more comfortable RHR's most days because when my hands hurt they seem to be more sensitive to little things on the rings, or if they're more ...

Re: Couple of Oval questions

I have a thing for antique ovals, personally. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but they seem to be less common than other shapes. http://www.jewelsbygrace.com/2-22ct-antique-oval-cut-diamond-gia-g-vs2#.VxP6cT8WErI As for fluorescence, rarely it can make a diamond look hazy, but otherwise I think the...

Re: Harvard's oldest club warns against admitting women

Because when groups exclude some people, it's easier for those in the group to think of people outside of the group as "other." When you start labeling people like this, it encourages discrimination. The science backs this up, as does history. Here's an example:http://www.simplypsychology....

Re: What's your opinion on minimum wages going up to $15?

Do you think doctors make $15 an hour? Especially in CA? It's less than 30,000 a year. Or were you joking? I couldn't tell.

People don't want to become doctors anymore for a lot of reasons but a higher minimum wage isn't one of them.

Re: Which one is better? fancy deep/fancy

I like the second one better, but James Allen says it is unavailable. The only reason is the color. The color of the first one does nothing for me. What color are you looking for? I know green, but what kind of green? I tend to prefer the bright grass green colors, personally. I think the greyish mo...

Re: Selling my 3.64 AVR.......am I crazy?

I certainly don't have a diamond of that size, but I do have some similar circumstances to you, in that I'm an at home mom and taking care of small people. Thank for all of your opinions. I think I am starting to get this straight in my head, and I am very, very grateful. Re: Best dust-free cat litter

I'm not a cat expert, but we use the crystals in our automatic cat box. I love them. I have no idea about the safety, but it makes keeping the litter box clean a snap. We use the scoopfree auto litter box thing, which I love because it counts every time she uses it. We adopted a middle aged semi fer...

Re: Help with unpleasant side effects of chemo

My father took a lot of immodium when he was on chemo. Green tea helped me quite a bit. It doesn't help with the diarrhea, but does seem to soothe the stomach and digestive system. I can't figure out how to multiquote, sorry. I love that ring posted, but it's quite a bit bigger than I can afford at the moment. Fancy light colors - yellow or brown?

I'm curious, if you were looking at buying a diamond in the fancy range or in the U-Z range, would you prefer a yellow or a brown? And why. I think I'm starting to narrow down what I want for my last major project, and I've come to the realization that I'm not wanting a colorless diamond. I have a s...

I'm glad you found out what was wrong, and that it is easy to treat. I understand the frustrations with doctors, but sometimes things take a while to ferret out. Re: Are Expensive Hairdryers Worth It?

If your hair is frizzy, it sounds like it needs more moisture and some hold. Hair dryers are usually a bad idea for naturally curly hair.
