Re: PS Mommy Thread-Newborn to 12 months!
Hi All! Congrats to all the new moms! So cute and squishy! H is almost 8 months now. He's a very happy baby and smiles and laughs all the time. Such a joy! He is trying mightily to crawl but hasn't mastered it yet. He does scoot backwards and turn side to side on his belly, just can't seem to get th... |

Re: Veggie Moms - What do your kids eat?
Hi! Not a veggie. DH and I are pescetarian at home so we eat a lot of seafood. We have started giving some to DS now that he's eating solids. We get salmon from Costco. It's wild salmon, individually frozen, no funky color or whatnot added. The easiest way to cook it is just roasted in the oven. We ... |

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers
Re: pumps - I got the PIS from my health insurance. I didn't get a choice. I probably would have gotten the Freestyle if I was buying it myself, but the PIS is fine. Oh, dear dear dear! I am so far behind. I love all the pictures though! Anyway, I am so far behind because I have been so sick! Re: Negative attitudes about breastfeeding...
I haven't encountered any negative attitudes but that's based on a few things. First, my son is only 3 months and it seems more socially acceptable to breastfeed a young infant rather than an older one. Secondly, my mom breastfed me and my brother for 11-12 months each, and my cousin has a 2 year ol... |

Re: Building a house?
I know you all are right, but the problem is I can't buy a house and update it, because all the houses have already been updated! Example: the strongest contender house is 15 years old, recently updated by current and original owner. The kitchen is nice but just really not what I would have chosen -... |

Re: How do be a better housekeeper, or let it go?
Thanks all! I will address the housecleaner idea with DH again... No one can keep the back hall clean and vacuumed if there are shoes all strewn about. No one c... |

How do be a better housekeeper, or let it go?
I've never been neat person. My major conflict with my mother growing up was over this issue. My husband is not a neat person either. It is the major conflict in our marriage. I would LOVE to be neat. It makes me so happy when my house is clean and organized. I can't do it though. I'm sort of a yo-y... |

Re: Building a house?
Rainwood - Thanks so much for your description of the process! My DH isn't really into these things so he would defer the design decisions to me. Hi! Trying to type and nurse so I will be brief. Thanks for the advice, Skippy! We have the snugabunny swing too, but it's downstairs in our house. So I use it for his naps. Re: Questions to ask a daycare? (aka Bella's mommy freakout)
One thing that was important to us was staff turnover. We chose a place where the teachers had been there 10+ years each to minimize the chance that he would be constantly getting new teachers. I imagine this might be even more important in your special circumstances. Good luck! |

We did a cruise for our honeymoon. Initially I was against it, since I didn't think of myself as a "cruise person". I'm not very social and I don't like hokey things and I'm pretty independent. But neither DH or I had the energy to plan something big during wedding planning, and the cruise... |

Re: When did your baby start sleeping through the night?
Thanks for the bump, Skippy! It was nice reading through this at this point. My son is 2.5 months. From week 5-week 8, he slept four hour stretches.
