Re: Setting an antique cushion: Sholdt's 14k VS 18K RG?

I haven't seen Sholdt's RG, but if you are not wanting brassy or coppery, I would go with 14k. The 14k rg pieces I have are softer and the color is more pink, while my 18k rg pieces are coppery.

Re: Poll:do you think this is weird? Sibling names

We have two kids and they both have names that start with the same letter, Hailey and Hannah. It was unintentional though, the names that "fit" our little girls just happened to both start with H. I don't think there is anything wrong with children(and parents) in a family having names tha...

Re: What year did you get your current e/ring and what style

We have been married since 2008, but purchased a new ring this year. The ring is my avatar picture. It is an OEC set in a vintage fishtail prong setting with antique marquise and single cut side stones.

Re: How often do you fly, or have you flown, first class?

I have flown first class once. I was buying a last minute ticket after finding out the day DH (then boyfriend) was returning for deployment. It was the only seat available and I was desperate to get down there and see him get off of the plane! Aside from that, I have always flown economy. I wouldn't...

Re: The good buyer/seller thread...

Off of the top of my head, I had great experiences buying from missymoo, Kelpie, NKOTB, Athenaworth, and YT. Madelise and missymoo were amazing buyers! There are a few other PSers I have bought from and sold too, but I can't recall screen names or the transactions at this time. I will say though, I ...

Re: Jewelry purchase that you love and have no desire to upg

1) My 2.21 ct OEC and antique setting with old cut marquise sidestones.

2) My .96 ctw bezeled OEC earrings.

3) My .70 ctw OEC rg bangle.

These are staple pieces that I wear everyday. I absolutely adore them and can't imagine ever parting with them.

Nope, my budget is usually whatever amount I can get away with before DH starts pulling out his hair. Haha. This year I did pretty well-2.21 OEC ring, .70 ctw OEC bezel bangle, .96 ctw OEC studs, and a few small OECs set aside for future projects. I think DH had just about reached his limit, it is ...

Re: Do you own nicer jewelry than your boss?

Well my boss is a 2 1/2 year old toddler so I would hope so! Although occasionally I catch her trying on my rings.... I was just going to say the same thing! Re: I have found THE ONE! 2.21ct OEC in an antique setting!

The 5 stone was AMAZING, it was hands down the most amazing suite of OECs I had ever seen. Grace did an amazing job putting that suite together. The finger coverage was amazing too! I loved that ring, but at the end of the day, I was a solitaire girl. In a perfect world I would have gotten the 2.21...
Re: Show me your jewelry boxes

I'm so excited to show off my jewelry box! It is a Korean lacquerware box with mother of pearl inlay depicting cranes - a very common theme. I purchased it in the Insadong district in Seoul. Re: 2.5ct blue sapphire, 1.2ctw diamond sides in WF Butterfl

Wow!!! The color of your sapphire is amazing! I love the setting too, it is such a graceful design.
Re: Not your typical CvB Design contemporary semi bezel milg

It is such a beautiful diamond and the setting shows it off perfectly! I love how the point where the semi bezel ends, lines up perfectly with the channel set side stones. It gives the ring a very fluid, cohesive look and feel.
Re: Singlestone five stone french cut ring

Absolutely stunning!!!! :appl:

I especially love the details in the profile of the ring. Single Stone always seems to go above and being in making sure their rings are exquisite at every angle of viewing, it definitely shows in this beautiful ring!

Re: I have found THE ONE! 2.21ct OEC in an antique setting!

It looks so divine armywife! The faceting is really awesome. I can see arrows in there, but with less precise symmetry, which creates that loveky "random" look in the patterning. But the optics are still there, I can totally see why you are in love! Now... "the one"... that's a ...
