Re: Simple solitaire - hand forged or CAD?

I don't think hand forged for a solitaire is necessary, but for pave is probably worth every red cent. So maybe for the wedding band you pair it with? I just recently saw the BGD tapered Tiffany in person (it's on my short list for my reset) and it really wowed me, because it's elegant and dainty an...

Let me know what you think! I shake it well and really quickly spray mostly along my top part and hairline and that's about it.

Yea ill second the lukewarm slash cool water. It sucks to take cool showers in the winter but it makes a HUGE difference. Also the faster the better. I can be in clean and done in 5-6 minutes

Re: My Cut To Order Crafted By Infinity Diamond - Part two

I cannot even get over how insanely gorgeous this is. Those shots with the arrow flash are incredibly beautiful. Money shot! But I love the video. Two experts on one video. And the shots of the arrows at the end?! *faint*

Re: Keeping dyed hair from fading

Ame, Does the Tigi bedhead have a odor? I have problems with my color fading and try to not wash but I have not found a dry shampoo that I can tolerate the smell of, they all seem so strong and I am a sensitive whiner about smells. Citrusy but I consider it very non-offensive. Most are reall...

Re: Keeping dyed hair from fading

Well, it's gonna wash out fast, really no matter, because it's a bright and most likely nonpermanent product. The best thing you can do, seriously, is not wet it or wash it very often and use dry shampoo as often as possible. The more you wet it the faster it is going to rinse out. I shampoo every o...

Re: Considering Restylane - pros and cons?

Hi Ame, My doctors nurse had her hollows done with A filler and she had the blue tink. It was visible even with make up on her face. His nurse is average weight. He told me that it might be worse for me because I have a very thin face so the blue may show up more. My impression was if your face was...

Re: Would ideal cut rounds reflect color?

No. Not the HCA. I was not at all incorporating that into it. Woofmama, Niel, thanks for the reassurance. :)) Wink, the angles are crown 35, pav 40.8, depth 62 and table 55. Is it slightly deep? Barely (.2), but the color reflection has nothing to do with that. It would happen regardless. Ame, what ...

Re: Considering Restylane - pros and cons?

As much as I am freaked out about fillers and botox, I have been trying to research stuff like this because I have VICIOUS undereye circles and I have read that fillers will help fill the hollows and make them appear less dark. But if restylane makes for a blue tint that might not be for me...since ...

Re: Verification of authenticity

Yes, exactly what Neil just said. Get an INDEPENDENT appraisal--one not affiliated with any jeweler. There are plenty in New York if you want to stay local. And make sure you can return for a refund if it doesn't check out.

Re: Black(?) Friday/ cyber Monday

I have lots on my list, I have most of my holiday shopping handled but I tend to stockup on stuff on these sales for myself and DH and then any last bits and bobs for gifts. Like, hoodies and stuff that are super cheap, or if we want anything that ends up on sale. lol

Really any of them would as long as you use them consistently. That one I mentioned, the WORKING HANDS stuff, is actually I think made for guys. Tradesmen and the like.

Re: Help me choose: four or six prong solitaire?

RC. I actually think a well done 6 prong makes a stone look larger, keeps the round look and is safer all around. Vatche can do really nice "slightly clawed prongs." Find the pics from mine RC on here and say you want them shaped like mine.

Re: Best moisturizer for pathetic and dry hands in the winte

I have been using that First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream on my face and body for a few weeks and that's helped a LOT. I also use LaMer hand cream (!) and even that OKeefes Working Hands stuff. I usually reserve that for after I finish an order though.

Would you like some cocaine with your emeralds?! Yikes!

Just saw this story on JCK about a Florida jeweler involved in a cocaine/stolen emeralds situation. Two of Colombia's biggest exports all in one crazy bust. I was so expecting a Tony Montana-like situation. Wait, wasn't that character Cuban? Nevermind. My husband said this story reminded him of the ...

Re: Do friends or family ask to try on your e-ring?

Not anymore. I had a friend try mine on while we were sitting at an outdoor cafe once and she proceeded to shake her hand to see if it was too big and fly off of her finger! Luckily, it didn't, and I gave her a stern talking it, but I've never let anyone try it on since. Re: Do friends or family ask to try on your e-ring?

They might ask, but I don't let them. Other people are not as careful as I am with my items, and I have zero tolerance for that. I will not risk anyone else dropping anything, hitting my pieces on anything, off another piece, or touching the stone directly with their fingers.
