Re: Need wedding band advice urgently!!

Same, matching one row of the shank (even if you get two of those) is great.

Re: Who preordered the iPhone6/6+

I already think the 5s is too big but I'm sure I'll adapt to the 6. The 6+ will never work for me

Re: Who preordered the iPhone6/6+

Thanks Ame! That's awesome! (the link didn't work for me either so I just used their search function for device unlock). I'll definitely do that to my 5 once I get the 6. I don't want to pay for international calling/internet when I'm traveling so now I can just use my older phone with a SIM card i...

Re: Who preordered the iPhone6/6+

Since the deathstar no longer allows annual upgrades like they used to due to that scammy NEXT nonsense, I am going to just start buying my phones outright on the years I am not on upgrade, that way I can not have to screw my contract renewal date up. I sell my phone usually anyway, since DH never w...

Re: Who preordered the iPhone6/6+

My 2 year contract is up in December so I'll be getting the 6 then. My 5 is still working great but I would love a slightly bigger phone. The 6+ is just too big though, won't fit well in a clutch for evenings out so the 6 it is  Ame - I have AT&T as well and was wondering about the un...

Re: Who preordered the iPhone6/6+

Hubby will get the 6+ but I am not sure. I used my last upgrade for my son, so mine is not due for an upgrade until January. I really want to see the phones in person first to decide. I have a 4S and it is fine for my uses. I am not sure if the larger phones will fit my purse pockets and I don't li...

Re: Who preordered the iPhone6/6+

I'll be getting one in 6 months when our old contract is up... we're thinking of switching to a different carrier. Tmobile sells them unlocked - not that that helps you (sorry)! Yea that does not help. They're not technically unlocked at the time of sale, actually. You have a waiting period before ...

Who preordered the iPhone6/6+

I planned to, but they won't sell it unlocked/full price presale which is stupid. I don't want to steal my husband's upgrade, and he refuses to take my 5S because his 4 "still works" right now. So I have a pending sale with Gazelle (where I usually sell my phones) for when I get the new on...

Re: Do you own any $200 jeans?

I usually only buy jeans during Nordstrom Anniversary sale. I think the highest on sale I've ever paid was just over $100 each for CJ Cookie Johnson jeans. When they're full price I think those are nearly $200. They' were worth it. The quality of construction and the fit were second to none. The oth...

Re: Should I upgrade from my new 2.27 ct to a 2.56 ct RB??

I like the smaller table on the one you have but both look like they're going to be stunners. The size increase in MM isn't HUGE but the carat bump is a nice number for sure. I would not have an issue with an I over an H to get the extra size. See if they can do a few side by side images for you.

Re: Best Ultrasonic Cleaner?

I actually don't use one anymore. I can get my rings just as clean by hand and or with a steamer. I have a few routines that I alternate based on what I have going on: One is that I wash my hands with Method dishsoap, then spray Windex (ONLY a good idea on plat) and rinse well, then dry well and wip...

Re: Which Wedding Ring/Eternity Band Would You Pick?

I like the original #2 actually. I like the width because it kind of echoes the width of the metal "channel" on either side of your diamond channels. I also like how the stones are set because they're more secure. One thought would be a narrow channel set, since your shank is channel set. ...

Re: Do you feel 3 prong martini studs are not secure?

I felt my martinis were plenty secure. I got rid of them because they didn't play nice with my work desk phone so I never wore them. I would get a prong stuck in the little "hole" on the earpiece and I did think I was going to dislodge the stone that way. I got a pair of bezeled studs and ...

Re: Vatche Royal Crown without Cathedral Pics

Actually they won't do that customization and while I don't care for their stance on customization typically, I actually think that is one I might agree with from a structural standpoint. The cathedrals keep the ring from warping because that wirework-look head (mine has casting marks and pitting so...

Re: Anyone getting calls from "Windows"?

We don't answer our home phone. DH works from home, so he dials in, and the only calls that come to that line during his hours are work calls that are really calling his desk line. After he disconnects that line, we don't answer that line, unless the caller ID flashes on TV and it's his mom or somet...

Re: Jewlery cleaning tips from Jewelers Mutual

As you all know, I am a lunatic about the cleanliness of my rings, so I use distilled as often as possible. And I line my sink with paper towels, and my floors with actual towels. Just in case.

Re: If bigger really is better - what would you do?

Ame - BGD would have been my first choice but the cost was a little prohibitive for a 5 stone at the 1.00 tcw. I'm not working at the moment (maternity leave) and really had to save for this ring so it was a choice between WF and IDJ (though I could have gone 1.25ct with IDJ.) Maybe it will be time...

Re: If bigger really is better - what would you do?

The diamonds really are beautiful, never an issue in that department. Had you not ordered, you could have also considered Brian Gavin Diamonds, who is the original designer and cutter of the ACA.

Re: What do you use to shoot your photos?

Canon S95 point and shoot @ f2.0 with a set of +2/+4 filters and occasionally a x10 loupe. I've tried a couple of "full-spectrum" lights and none of them work nearly as well for me as sunlight... black curtain behind the background and sometimes a sheet of white paper with a hole cut out ...
