Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Rats, sorry amc . Did you do diet-controlled before, or meds? Fingers crossed it's no big deal! Is it crazy that I think I've started feeling my baby kick? First pregnancy, 16+3 today, still barely even look pregnant even to a trained observer, and yesterday I think I felt 3 kicks while riding the ...

Well, I failed my 2 hour GD test, as expected. I haven't heard from my OB yet, so not really sure what I do from here...fun stuff!

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Thanks puppmom! I looked back at my pics on this board from when I was 12 DPO with DD, and I think you're right. They look about the same. Maybe a smidge darker, but very similar. And I also complained that day that CBE was still coming back negative. History repeating itself? Hi amc! Are you on ba...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Hey Blacksand! Welcome back!

Try a ClearBlue Easy w/weeks estimator. They are REALLY sensitive, like to a level of 9. If that FRER is positive, a CBE should be positive tomorrow.

Although, I don't see any color on the FRER. Is there any in person?

Re: Question for teachers/therapists

I live in PA so it may be different but I just assumed all states/counties had early intervention programs. DS2 had gross motor delays. Our pediatrician was not concerned but said if we were we could contact early intervention. Four professionals - a case worker, a physical therapist, an occupation...

Re: Re:

My new problem is that the, erm, constipation has been so awful the past 2 weeks, but I'm trying to get through it naturally. They say it's even worse after delivery, so I'm kind of terrified of that now. My 12 week appt is coming up soon. Will be time to move to the non-"Barely" thread! ...

Re: Question for teachers/therapists

I suggested a few basic signs, not ASL, not as an all encompassing solution but rather one tool to attempt to help alleviate frustration. From the description, it may well not work but I have used it and have seen it used in similar situations with some success. I tend to be one who will try such s...

Re: Need advice on staying at a gross hotel :/

I had to stay at a gross hotel for work. It was just like you described- run down, not cleaned well, etc. Like there was a "ring" around the edge of the room where the vacuum didn't/couldn't reach. There were stains on the sheets. Just...yuck. I ended up wearing sweatpants and a hooded swe...

+1. Don't even stress it. Children naturally know how to figure out when someone doesn't know yet/ doesn't talk yet. My little kiddos all accommodate each other, despite different cognitive levels and different disorders. Actually, most student in my school do, up to even the 5th grade. They all kn...

Re: Let's hear it for the new plus-sized male models

That's not a twig-sized to me. Most people will consider all the males in my family as super duper twig in comparison. Most of the men in my family are like that; my father and his nephew are both about 5'7 and 130lb, on my mother's side her nephew is smaller again. Yet I am 5'10-5'11 and cur...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Total threadjack, and I'll get out of here now, but that was me exactly. One of my twins had a lot of extra fluid, and then the babies combined weighed 13.5 pounds when I delivered at 37 weeks. I think everybody was surprised I made it that long with the regular contractions I had through the secon...

Re: Question for teachers/therapists

Having said that, I think OP might be concerned with the potential behavioral outbursts that might occur as a result of the frustration the child experiences with being unable to communicate effectively. This, exactly. B is a rule follower by nature (he gets it from me!). If someone is doing someth...

Question for teachers/therapists

My BFF and her family (husband, 3yo, and 15mo) are coming to visit next week (YAY!). Her kids are the same ages as my kids (my older one is about 6 months older than her eldest, and my younger one is 5 weeks older than her baby). Her 3yo, C, has significant speech delays, both in terms of expression...

Apparently it's not quite as simple as all that https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2015/09/18/bill-clinton-for-vice-president/ Technically, someone can be president for a day under 2.5 terms.
