Re: How much do you care about this US Presidential election

I got the kids in bed and came out to the living room only to see that they are announcing Sanders & Trump as the winners in the New Hampshire primary  Guess lots of women in NH will be going to h*ll since Madeleine Albright said, "There is a special place in h*ll for women who don't...

Re: How much do you care about this US Presidential election

We had elections today. Normally I'm on top of this stuff. DS is currently hospitalized for breathing issues, so I've been stuck in the hospital for 24 hours. Usually I would care, but I really don't this time. I'll vote for whichever candidate wins the GOP nomination.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Add hot/flushed-feeling hands to my other symptoms. It's a feeling I've only ever had in the past when I was on progesterone supplements, and it has struck on and off since around 4pm. I don't feel feverish or sick at all, just strangely aware of how warm my hands are. Tired + temp + this familiar ...

Re: Let's talk baby names

Are you having a third boy, amc? Too funny! Names are so personal and we all have so many reasons why we like or dislike certain names or why they work with our family names or personal style, etc. I wouldn't worry about two names ending the same, especially because that's a pretty common ending fo...

Re: Poll: wisdom teeth removal

I had all of mine out when I was 15. It's funny, I remember telling my mom they were coming in and bothering me, and she said I was too young. I asked the dentist and my cleaning and he took an X-ray. Sure enough, there they were. Each one was coming in a different direction, so they had to come out.

What do you all think of Sawyer? It breaks my rule of double using the -er ending, but I really like it.

Re: Should I resize my ring?

My fingers grew a lot in my last trimester. Do you think that your fingers will grow beyond their current size in the near future? If so, I'd resize so I can wear the ring throughout my pregnancy, and then resize again about 6mos-1yr after the baby. I stopped wearing my rings around 32 weeks and di...

Re: Why does my cat bite me for no reason??

My (just turned 1) baby will do the same thing on occasion- walk up to me and bite me on the arm, and then walk away. Maybe I'll blow on his face next time. I'd like to bite back, but I'd prefer not to get a call from CPS.

Re: Should I resize my ring?

I would get it sized so you can wear it now. Life's too short. When you lose the weight, use sizing beads until you are a stable size, then get a permanent resize. I would send it back to the original manufacturer if possible to get a really good quality job with the resizes though, even if it cost...

Re: Biggest source of contention in your relationship with S

Mine is that he doesn't help much around the house. I was gone (with both kids) for the weekend, and came back to dishes in the sink, counters covered with stuff, and the dishwasher still not emptied. Oh, and he "forgot" to take out the trash on trash days, so now we have trash piling up. ...

Re: Is it okay to publicly shame people into voting?

People should want to vote. If they don't vote, it's their loss. I'd rather have people not vote than make an uneducated vote because they felt shamed into voting for someone.

Should I resize my ring?

My lovely E-Ring is sitting in the safe, where it's been for the last 1.5 years or so. I ended up having to get it cut off during my last pregnancy. It still didn't fit after pregnancy (I'm guessing a combination of bigger joints plus fat). Here I am, pregnant again, so it would be at least another ...

Re: Ancestry/Family Tree Research Question

AZ, thanks for sharing! There are still third party websites you can dump your raw data into, and they will do the med stuff. It's fairly cheap, something like $10. I really want to do the dna test and am deciding which company to go through. It will probably be AncestryDNA.

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

People are so rude. I was getting my beta checked for this last pregnancy. The receptionist at the lab asked if I had gotten a positive pee test. I said yes, like 5 of them. "THEN WHY ARE YOU GETTING A BLOOD TEST? THAT DOESN'T SEEM NECESSARY." Um, because I've had THREE early losses and I'...

Re: Finally, Barbies with more-realistic bodies!

I guess I'm in the minority on this one. I played with Barbies as a kid. I knew they were dolls, not real life, the same as my Cabbage Patch Kids. Our society is becoming ridiculous. Really, now all of our dolls have to be PC as well? I miss the 80s.

I'd love to know the answer as well. I can trace most of my family way back. But my mom's dad's side immigrated from Russia, so I can't get any info on them.

Re: "Just Barely" Pregnant PS''ers

Hi Puppmom- yes she referred to it as an SCH I think? She honestly did not go into very much detail. Just put me on pelvic rest and said the closer to bed rest the better. Re: Downton Abbey Question

It was all a bit of a mystery about Edith's boyfriend, but as far as I could make out or remember, he had gone to Germany to live for a while to get German citizenship, I think, in order to divorce his mentally disabled wife so he could marry Edith. Because I think you could do that in germany but ...

Downton Abbey Question

I know there's already a DA, but it has major spoilers for those of us who haven't seen it through to the end.

I noticed that Mrs. Patmore and Mrs. Hughes are both referred to as Mrs., even though neither have been married. Anyone want to shed some light on this?

Re: Which men are the most attractive to you?

Thank you, amc. Gosh, do young men really look like that these days? They didn't in my day, but then, we didn't have gyms. There were fewer people around with magazine bodies like the guy you posted. Men always had muscles, of course, but not in that gym-honed way that you posted. I don't find it v...

Re: Which men are the most attractive to you?

Age isn't a big factor. There are men I find attractive from 20 to 60. I'm also a big fan of the V. When I see that, my tummy has that feeling like being on an elevator. I also like those dimples on the top of a well shaped behind. I have no idea what everyone is talking about with this mysterious ...
