Re: Do you know anyone who has won the lottery?

And of course, the US doesn't seem immigrant-friendly right now. So there's that. I just wanted to address this. I don't think it's true, at all. Certain people are fed up with certain aspects of immigration, such as people who come in illegally, or those who come in with no means to support themse...

Re: Couple "tricked" into spending $37K on a bogus e-ring

It would have been nice if they used a reporter that knew anything at all about diamonds. Since when is a CE diamond made in a lab? Still a diamond. Also, while a store should be upfront about what they are selling, did this guy really think he was getting a 4.5ct stone for under $40k? Two minutes o...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Had an appointment today- my fundal height is measuring 38 weeks. No wonder I feel so slow and out of it! I have another growth scan tomorrow, plus an appointment to with the MFM to go over my gestational diabetes management, plus a NST. The NSTs will now be twice a week, and one time a week there w...

Re: Subway tile or something else?

We just had stainless steel subway tile installed in our kitchen as our sink backsplash. I didn't want to deal with the possibility of scratching the tiles while grouting and the inevitable upkeep of cleaning grout, so we chose the peel and stick tiles and I love the way they look! http://www.price...

Hi guys, cautiously posting over here. I am 5+1 today. EDD Feb 26, 2017 and first pregnancy. I am have been feeling very anxiously lately. I haven't had many symptoms yet and that is freaking me out a bit. I had more symptoms last week than I have had in the past 3 days. The fatigue is mostly gone,...

Re: Have you ever had one of those years?

Yes. The past 18 months or so have been crazy. Had a baby, relocated (so, new job + buying a house from out of state), being on my own while DH finished up in our old location, and DH taking a really long time to find a good job. So lots of stress, both logistical and financial. Oh, and SURPRISE! Fo...

Re: House Democrats Stage Sit-In For Gun Control

I keep thinking at some point common sense has to kick in with Republicans. It never happens. The NRA has bought that party. If 20 children losing their life didn't wake them up...nothing will. It would be interesting to see if they still felt this way had one of their children were killed by an as...

Re: Saatva Mattress

I've never heard of that mattress before. I need a new one and have been planning to try a Casper when I do. Mattresses are hard to pick out I think. I've heard great things about Casper. I thought the website was fun and they had a good sense of humor. I liked that if you don't like it they'll com...

amc, are you getting closer to a name yet? One suggestion I had to add to your list - Campbell. Like the soup. I think Campbell is cute! So, of course, DH vetoed it. I'm fairly sure we will go with Cooper. Cool! Did you ever watch that 90s show "Hangin' with Mr Cooper"? That's the first t...

Re: Sound bars - I could really use some recommendations ple

We have two sound bars- one is a Vizio and one is a Samsung. The Vizio is fine, but the Samsung is better. I'd recommend the Samsung (since you said the TV is Samsung), because everything will work together really easily. No need to worry about separate remotes or anything.

Re: Teach your daughters not to get drunk

We all have to decide how much risk we want to take on. One way to cut down on risk is to not put yourself in a vulnerable situation. We can teach our sons all day long not to rape, to respect women, etc. But there are still some people who are just bad, people with no moral compass, people who get ...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Bella (and April)- Thanks for the suggestions! I love a ton of those names, but DH has vetoed them at one point or another. I'm 99% sure we are going with Cooper. Which sounds weird with Chester, but I don't care (and he will have the CCC initials...also don't care). Bling- how scary! Hang in there!...

Sorry, Bella.

One reason you might want to go to the doctor is to have the pregnancy on record. In case you ever need intervention in the future.

Evergreen- awesome that you are truly feeling kicks so early! That must be really reassuring. I always hate that first 18-20 weeks or so when you have no idea what is going on.

Here is a pic from a few days ago. It's completely ridiculous.
