Re: What was your first Apple product?

I believe the first Apple product I ever used was my dad's old Macintosh (well, I think it was a Macintosh). This was circa~1989. It was NOT one that supported a color monitor. Just the old black and green. We also had a black and orange second, smaller monitor, that he had hooked up to it. He had ...

Re: What was your first Apple product?

We had an Apple 2C. Must have been around 1986 when I was 6. I was just reading up on it- you could expand the memory to a whopping 1.125MB!

Re: PS Mommy thread with toddlers 12-36 months

I haven't checked in in a while, but wanted to say hi. I love seeing all of these pics! B is doing well. He is talking up a storm and really working on stringing multiple words together. We went through an awful sleep stage (I feel your pain, LC) for about two weeks, where B would wake up in the mid...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

I agree, Bright, you look great! Good luck!

Has anyone heard from SplitShank? If my crappy pregnancy brain recalls correctly, she was the one pregnant with triplets, right? I haven't seen her around lately.

Re: Fertility friend Charts and Questions

I just started using wondfos so have the experience of only one cycle. It showed a very dark line equal to control for about 2 days. The line appeared later than I was expecting O so I did think there was something off with either the tests or the user. But it did work as it was supposed to in the ...

Re: Fertility friend Charts and Questions

Asscher, I don't think you have enough temps before the O line to know for sure. I would assume you O'ed already, but it could have been yesterday. Yep, I agree with this. Is your interpretation setting on FAM or Advanced? It looks like advanced- switch it to FAM. FAM is a proven method, whereas Ad...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

AMC- Cute bump! So are you carrying differently than last time? You do seem to be a little high, were you lower last time? I think I'm carrying about the same as last time, funny because everyone says they can tell I'm having a boy from the way I am carrying. Everyone said that last time too, but a...

Re: is it too early to talk about Halloween?

I am seriously considering painting B purple, putting purple stuff in his hair and spiking it up all crazy, and then putting him in black overalls...any guess as to what he would be?

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Okay, LP and I are exactly one day apart. One. I'm truly fascinated how people carry differently and the difference between a first baby and second. I think this baby is really high as well. I will be interested to see what my fundal height is next week.

Re: Car seat placement

Thanks, Mia. That was really helpful. I cannot stand the "I am better than you because I RF my 5 year old" attitude. A friend of mine was picking up her 3 year old from day care, and some random mom came up to her and said the daughter really should be RFing because it's so much safer. At ...

Re: Anyone NEVER offer baby a pacifier? Or is that crazy/cru

No. The first night in the hospital was awful. B just cried and cried. My OB came in the next morning to check on me and I mentioned it and she said "um did you try a pacifier?" NO. Didn't even think about it. We gave him one and he liked it but was never really attached to it. But if that...

Re: Car seat placement

Does your car have side airbags in the back? If yes, then I wouldn't recommend putting an infant seat on the side. I used to drive a corolla when DS was baby and had the infant carrier on the side because it was just impossible to get it into the middle with the front seats pushed back. Corolla did...

Re: Car seat placement

If you can get the infant seat into the middle spot, that would be great. We had our infant seat in the centre and ya, it was a bit of a heave to pop the seat in the base but we made it work. There is a woman online "the Car Seat Lady" who has a great FB page where you can post a question...

Car seat placement

B will be 2.5 in February when T is born. I will primarily be driving a Ford F150. Currently, B is FF behind the driver's seat. Ideally, I'd keep him there and put T in the middle seat (obviously in a RF infant seat). The problem is I'm not sure if I will be able to get the infant seat in there with...

Re: Poll:do you think this is weird? Sibling names

I think it's fine. The only time I would say it isn't is if both parents and all but one kid had the same initial. I would think that one kid might feel left out.

Re: Grammar debate- is this true?

Mayerling- This is sort of off topic, but what does one do with a doctorate degree in Linguistics? Other than teach Linguistics?

ETA- I hope that didn't come off as offensive. I just don't know anyone with that degree and don't know what sort of job market exists in the field.

Re: When sick is your SO stoic or a big baby?

Is zero an option? He will get a cold and thinks he needs to go to the ER. One time he was bundled up on the couch, shaking, and in a weak voices asked if he thought I should take him in. Re: The Official TTC Thread!

Asscher- that is pretty normal for this stage of your cycle. Temps are often erratic during AF, and sometimes all the way until O. An overall shift is what you need. Take a look at this old chart of mine, very erratic but still a clear shift.

Re: Who preordered the iPhone6/6+

I'm up for renewal on 11/17, so I'll be getting the 6 at that point. Verizon is buying the 5 for $200 right now...hopefully they will still be doing that then. Otherwise, I'll sell it on Ebay for $200-250. DH is getting the 6+ because he's insane.
