Re: California Hwy 1, San Francisco help

I second 17 mile drive. Pebble Beach is fun as well. The Santa Cruz Boardwalk is worth seeing, depending on how much time you have.

I got a killer deal on a Dell from Costco. Costco doubles the manufacturer's warranty, so I like buying there.

Re: What's your opinion on minimum wages going up to $15?

I am appalled at the question though. Really? Tipping is going to make or break you? And what part of MINIMUM wage are you missing? Like the people serving your food are sub-human and don't deserve to make more than the bare minimum needed to survive. But the argument for tipping servers was they m...

Thanks for all of the support ladies. We thought we had a bfp last night, even DH saw it, and then this morning, nothing. Today is 15dpiui so I probably should stop the prometrium. I'm just really sick of this infertility crap and ready to have that baby in my arms :nono: Sorry, RT. I've often had ...

Re: "Just Barely" Pregnant PS''ers

Just a tip from someone who is on round three- check out the long and lean camis from Buckle. They can work the same way, and are long enough to use throughout pregnancy. I found the Bellaband to be really annoying and I was constantly having to adjust it.

And quite frankly, the people that work here in the McD's and Taco Johns etc, the gas stations...well, maybe in the bigger cities you've got stellar examples of workmanship and job pride but 'round these here parts you get people who stare blankly at you and can't get a medium oreo frappe and two s...

Re: What's your opinion on minimum wages going up to $15?

It won't do anything in the long run. Prices will go up and we will be right back where we are now. They just did this in Oregon. My question is does this mean I don't have to tip at restaurants? The argument was always that servers made such horrible wages and tipping compensated for that. Minimum ...

Congrats 4ever! She's beautiful! I hope has a speedy recovery after her surgery. I had planned to post on Monday how excited I was to take my last shot... however, I never made it that far. Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Had my anatomy scan today. Baby boy is definitely a boy. He is measuring 9 days ahead, not surprising given my history. His legs are Mike 2+ weeks ahead. Doctor said to expect another 22" baby. Baby was very active and the scan took well over an hour because he was not cooperative.

I really like that as well! DH wants to use his grandpa's name for a middle name, though. Which is also another reason I think new should use my first choice for the first.

Re: Let's talk baby names

Blake is now considered an unisex name. Are you ok with that? I'll need to take a look at the new SSA name list when it comes out next month, to see what's happened over the past year. Blake was given to 4913 boys in 2014, and 499 girls; so it's still a boy name by 10:1. I'm okay with that. Oh good...

Re: Short Term Disability denial

I wanted to update this thread after having had a long conversation with HR. They are going to attempt to get MetLife to accept a SOH form as if it had been filled out at the time of enrollment. They agree with me that it's MetLife's fault for not sending this form out earlier. If that doesn't work,...

Re: Let's talk baby names

Still on the name hunt. Well, I am; DH is stuck on Hudson. I was thinking about Blake and how much I love it. DH mentioned he likes it as well. The only drawback is it sounds sort of clunky with our last name. But, do I really care? If the options are great sounding name that I like, vs. eh sounding...

I had my monthly appointment on Friday. I'm already measuring a couple weeks ahead (normal for me, by the end my belly will probably measure like 45 weeks, it sucks). Molly- Thank you so much for the reply and for taking the time to ask around. To answer some questions/clarify things: It does define "medical treatment" as seeing a doctor, getting medication, lab work, etc., but I didn't do that until after 1/1. I have not officially appealed. I think yo...

Re: Short Term Disability denial

I'd be surprised if the look-back period for pre-existing conditions, re a policy that gives you 2016 coverage, begins on the date in October when you signed up. And even if you had filled out the Statement of Health before you learned you were pregnant, you wouldn't necessarily be better off; they...
