Ditto. Grafted weeping cherry. Do you have pictures of it in bloom?

Nope, we just bought this house a few weeks ago.

It looks better now. Those are really old pictures. They are both fairly unruly at the moment and need some love. But it looks like they shouldn't be pruned until later in the year.

Re: What kind of tree is this?

Hmmmm... Japanese maple? small weeping willow? Need more close up pics of the leaves. Neither of those. There are two in our yard. No idea what they are or how they are supposed to be pruned. I'll try to find a better pic (not home right now) This pic isn't closer, but it's clearer. It looks like i...

Re: The Official TTC for 6 Months or More Thread

My REA said to just do FMU, which I've been doing, but I started doing an early evening check last night just in case. For whatever reason the CBEs this month are coming back negative but I used a wondofo last night and this morning and got a reading both times. So I'm not sure if it was a bad lot ...

We are finally "settling down" in a new area in about a month (fingers crossed!) so I've been rereading and getting my ducks in a row in preparation. I've read Taking Charge of Your Fertility as well as a preconception book by Dr. Michael Lu. Wow, it is a ton of info.... I sign...

No, do not let it slide and not talk to them. This needs to be clearly spelled out or the company can later claim they own his other software! You need to consult an attorney to make sure his outside work is protected. In many states the case law is on the side of the employer. Yep. My former compa...

Re: Things to do in San Francisco?

Walk or bike across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito. Golden Gate Bridge is 3.6 miles long and then you have to walk back. It does not lead to Sausalito but does end at a look-out point where you can park and use the restroom. It also can be cold and windy. So be prepared if you decide to walk. ...

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. Those are really helpful! Now, please help me pack. Is it really going to be cool in August? Aww, amc, glad you're feeling a little better at least! Agree with lc and heeding the siren call of a/c and the odds of conceiving on O-7; if you aren't KU then you'll just be extra grumpy about taking the hot walk & spending the $... but if you are, you'll be just as KU later on when AF doesn'...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

amc, could it be you just caught a bug or a spot of food poisoning? I know if I have an all out disaster like that, no matter the cause, it takes my tummy a few days to feel right again. Given the slim chances from your estimated timing, I'd probably just wait it out until Thurs rather than waste a...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

I don't want to say I'm worried, more of a mild concern. Since the changes would be maybe 1% or something like that. DH has been out of town, and my best estimate is we hit O-7 or so (not temping right now, but I've charted long enough to know what's going on). On Saturday, I had to run to the bathr...

Walk or bike across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito. Eat lunch at the ferry building. Take the ferry to tiburon and eat lunch there. Wander Union street (different from Union square). Bike or roller blade through golden gate park on Sunday when it is closed to traffic. Get ice cream at ghiradel...

Re: College with religious affiliation other than your own

I think it would really depend on my level of religiousness, as well as that of the school. For example, if I were a staunch agnostic or atheist, I probably wouldn't go somewhere like BYU (not that an atheist is likely to get the required recommendation anyway). But a school that is technically Cath...

My son ended up quitting his first job within a few months (pizza place) due to the abusive behavior of the boss. His lesson? Stay in school and this is why he needs a college education. Re: Gate in room

Have you ever used a gate at the entrance to your child's room? Well, my Roomba is evil. I turned him on before going outside to play with the kids. Went to go inside, couldn't get the sliding glass door to open. Turns out he pushes the dowel back into the door slot. Waiting for the locksmith. True story.
