Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

He's here!

Tucker Jack, 9lbs2oz, 19.5" long. The ultrasound estimate was pretty much spot on! Looks nothing like B and is super chill. Already latching like a champ. The c-section was awesome and I'm so glad I went that route.

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Still here! I thought last night was the night. I went to the bathroom and after had a contraction that was just constant. It seriously lasted over an hour. It was my whole belly, lower belly (like AF cramps), my back, and right in my butt. DH went off to work and I told him to make sure to have his...

Re: Mangagement rings

It took me until the end of the first page to realize it was "mangagement" and not "management." I was so confused.

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

amc - Try walking around? I had this happen in early pregnancy, in the middle of the night, a few times. I read that it would help to walk around, and it did! Not sure if this is different later in pregnancy, but hopefully not!! I will try that, thank you. I also try rocking back and forth on the t...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

I'm having a lot of trouble peeing right now. I feel like an old man with prostate issues. I will be about ready to pee my pants, sit down to I, and barely any comes out. I guess baby is just in the right spot. Pregnancy is SO fun. Said nobody, ever. Niel, sorry about still not having a name. Maybe ...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Trekkie- I had a lot of pain down there this time. It constantly felt like I was being kicked in the crotch. OB said it was round ligament pain and not a whole lot could be done. Some days were worse than others, so I'm assuming it depended on baby's position. I just got back from my appt (37w5d). D...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Muffdog- that's crazy. When did common courtesy completely go out the window? SMC- you know, I'm not sure exactly. The same thing happened when I was on it with B. They basically just use it to get you to a safe point and then have you stop taking it. I do know that part of the problem is if your BP...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Trekkie- I think the "gift" was really thoughtless. I would be mad and hurt. I stopped my contraction meds Sunday night. Since then, my contractions have gotten more frequent and more intense. They are basically every 5 minutes or so. Definitely worse when I'm sitting or on my feet, so I'm...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Just got done with my growth scan. Baby is estimated at 8lbs4oz right now. With a margin of error of 1lb4oz. But, based on the size of his cheeks, the doctor was pretty confident that we can assume he isn't on the low side of that margin. His head is measuring over 42w (once it's over 42w they can't...

Nursing Bras for big tatas

Any recommendations for large-sized nursing bras? I'm like a 38/40 G/H right now. I bought some nursing tanks from Target, but probably need to get a proper underwire bra as well, since I'll have to leave the house at some point. Recs?

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

SMC we cross posted. I do have Pre-E, plus PIH (pregnancy induced hypertension), plus Polyhydramnios (too much fluid), plus Macrosomia (large baby). The concern isn't really for the baby as much as for me- nobody thinks I will go much past 37 weeks without going into full on labor on my own, and th...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Hey SMC, did you write to Swistle? I read her post today and the issues sounded pretty familiar :) Her answer about "a grandma named Riley" is what I was thinking as well. We can't imagine it because there really aren't any grandmas with that name. But in 60 years, this generation will ha...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

I'm GSB+, but since I'm having a CS it doesn't really matter.

Boo 'hawks! I'm really rooting for Green Bay because I can't stand the Seahawks. We are moving to Portland soon and it will be weird to be so close to enemy territory. Although we are huge Duck fans, so at least I've got that.

Re: PS Mommy thread with toddlers 12-36 months

This thread is pretty quiet lately. I guess all of our toddlers are keeping us busy! So, I'm not sure if this is a vent or request for advice or what, but we are in major need of tackling a few things with Ev. I haven't mentioned it on here before, but I'm expecting again, and if, God-willing, all ...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

What is it with OBs and long waits? That's one reason I switched from my old doc- it was at least an hour wait every single appointment. My new doc is never more than 15-20 minutes late, and often she is right on time. Can I vent about my evening? First, the hemorrhoid burst. I know, TMI. The good n...

Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Amc, sorry about the hemorrhoid - at least the end is in sight! AFM, I'm just chugging along at 37w2d. Haven't felt a perceptible contraction yet, so I think DD is still tucked in there, unready to come out. My doula suggested I ask my doctor about evening primrose oil to speed things along, but th...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

just got my first positive OPK!! not great timing since we are in the middle of a fight. so now I'm ovulating and need to concede the fight, make up and get him into bed or tell him I'm still upset but its time to BD. Well, you ovulate anywhere from 12-72 hours after your first positive, so you mig...

Re: Activity Monitor, Fitness Tracker

I use the Vivofit now and also have used a Nike Fuel Band. I love the battery on the Vivofit. That's a big selling feature for me. Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Ugh, because contractions aren't enough. A giant hemorrhoid appeared yesterday. Probably TMI but whatev. I got a bad one after the 3.5 hours of pushing with B, but it didn't hurt. This is awful and nothing helps. I talked to my OB and she basically said to stay laying down. Super.

Thanks so much for the tips SMC! I will definitely look into that. I told my doctor today and she just recommended some tylenol pm at night.
