Re: Thinking about a new setting, please advise!

Thanks Junebug! I am sort of thinking the same thing about the contrast between the cut and style of the stones... I am IN LOVE with the french-cut side stones, but I sort of want to veer away from the look of the traditional "solitaire"... But then again, I think the claw prongs are fabul...

Re: Thinking about a new setting, please advise!

I am wanting to stay with the antique-ish look, and if I go with side stones, I will go with colorless as opposed to warmer color stones... I really want the warm creamy color of the center stone to stand out! Also, I feel like putting it in a setting with side stones/halo, etc... will make it stand...

Thinking about a new setting, please advise!

Hi all. I am thinking about re-setting my 1 ct, L/M, VVS2 stone. I am undecided whether I want something with sidestones, like kites or traps, or a cathedral setting with pave/ french cuts... What do you think? Here is the current (temporary) setting. I likely will still wear it with my rose gold ba...

Any school psychologists/special ed teachers out there?

Hey guys, here is a random request... I need a few scores from the KTEA II. My kit is at school, and we are getting hit with a MAJOR snow storm, and we probably won't have school tomorrow. I need some scores in order to complete a report, which is needed ASAP so everyone else can add their stuff. (I...

Re: Just in time for XYZmas, Breaking Bad Action Figures

I don't have a problem with the figurines existing (I'm a huge BB fan), however I do not believe that they should be sold at Toys R Us.

Re: IKEA Billy Bookcase

Yeah, my husband and I just bought a whole set of the birch veneer ones, and when we got them home, we found that the new ones do not have a smooth finish, but rather feel unfinished, or rough. We didn't like it, so we returned it, only to find that we were not able to get the old ones anymore, and ...

IKEA Billy Bookcase

Hi all, I am looking for information on how tall the toe-kick piece is on the bottom of the bookcase. We want to use it in our basement, but in order to make it fit, we may have to cut off 1 1/2- 2 inches. If anyone owns one of these, could you please tell me the height of that piece? Thank you.

Re: Do you obey laundry labels?

Nope. Cold water for everything and it all goes together. Sometimes I remember and take my bras out and wash them separately so they don't get all mangled... I trash my clothes :/

Re: HIMYM - The Ending

I was really sad that the mom died. I felt so sad for Ted and the kids. I was also pissed that they gave Barney a child, and then he continued his womanizing afterwards... The divorce pissed me off too, because it wasn't because Barney was a jerk, it was because Robin was too successful and traveled...

Re: Do you love your in-laws?

Yes, for sure I love them! They are great people!! I am very close with them, I probably see my MIL more than I do my own mother, because she watches my son!

Re: Thanks, Anti-Vaxxers. You Just Brought Back Measles in N

Ya know, a friend of mine was worried about Autism, so she didn't vaccinate.... Her son has moderate-severe Autism.... I am a special ed teacher and a school psychologist in training... I have extensively studied child development, psychopathology, etc... and there is no credible link. The original ...

Help me to compare this Neil Lane setting/stone!

Hello all! My SIL recently asked me to look at this lovely Neil Lane ring that she was thinking about purchasing. I have been "out of the loupe" (so to speak) for a while, and am not up to date on current oval or gold prices. The center stone is .75 ct, H-I, SI1-2, and the setting is in ye...
