Re: Knitting

I learned to knit about 6 months ago. A friend and I took one class at a local shop to learn the basic stitch. I have made a few scarves and someday will graduate to more complicated stitches. I will say, as a beginner, yarn with a little stretch makes it easier. I did alpaca for my first scarf and ...

Re: BB cream recommendations?

Wanted to let you know I tried the Missha BB cream and I really liked it. I found it to be as much coverage as a foundation - it was less "creamy/light" than I expected, but at the same time it felt less heavy on my skin than full blown foundation. I know some of you mentioned mixing it w...

i don't think insurance is a scam, I think it is flawed. There is a difference. I understand your point, Tacori. And i know you're coming from a different perspective. I respect that, and of course I respect you; we go way back. I've seen and heard agents and underwriters downright refuse to pay ou...

Re: World's most eligible bachelor Charles Manson is engaged

I have watched a show on Netflix that is about women who marry men in prison. It was very interesting. I think fame might have something to do with it. Maybe the control. She always knows where he is. Maybe she really does believe he is innocent. Who knows. People vary right?

Re: Life with or without Sugar?

I don't think anyone would argue that sugar is good for you. However, we all need our vices and I refuse to give up something I enjoy as much as chocolate.

Re: Reconsidering a future purchase

I do the exact same thing. Sometimes I just have to force myself to buy what a need/want. The anxiety before the purchase is usually worse than the regret after.

Re: Is Sarcasm the same as a Healthy Sense of Humour?

I agree with Circe. It depends how you define sarcasm. If you define it as "cutting of the flesh" and the jokes are at the expense of others, I find it very unhealthy and cruel.

Re: visiting family

I think it is very kind of you to abstain from drinking to support his family member's sobriety. If one cannot go 5 days without a drink, it may be time to examine some things. :eh: sounds like you are setting healthy boundaries but requesting DH's involvement. The visit will go quickly!

Re: WHat is/are thing/s that you never thought you needed

Heated car seats. Already have them permanently on. It is very cold where I live. Staying with the car theme I love having a keyless car (fob). Never thought I needed, wanted, or would like it. So nice not to have to take my keys out in cold, rain, or at night. Love it.

I don't think that will work for me. I am pretty pale. Maybe if I mix 23 and 21...hmmm... Good thing my tan is fading and I can go back to using 21.

Re: BB cream recommendations?

Charmy it's funny, a lot of makeup causes me to break out, but my Misha actually helps my skin. I bought 21 and 27 and blend them together to get the right shade. Also because I tan easily I need more 27 and less 21 in the summer and the reverse in the winter when I am pale. That's why the two tube...

Re: Should I stop saying, "Hello." to women I encounter?

I think how something is said (including non-verbals) is more important than what is said. For the most part I prefer to be ignored. I am an introvert. However, if eye contact is made I think hello or a smile is polite. Do not walk next to be for five minutes like that one guy in the video. That wou...

Agreed. CZs kinda defeat the purpose if you are worried about a mugging. I would not wear my ering *anywhere* if I didn't have insurance.

Re: BB cream recommendations?

Gypsy and Chrono, do you also buy it from Amazon? (like Tacori?) There's a huge price difference between getting it from Amazon or from the Missha site. But sometimes I'm a little skeptical with Amazon and beauty products. Tacori, have you been purchasing this through Amazon for a while, no problem...

This does not look good on my skin. They will give you a take home sample if you ask. I love Missha BB (buy from Amazon). May be more coverage than you want though. I wear number 21 and am very fair.

Re: Ever consider going without makeup for a week?

CJ, I agree with letting the skin breathe. I wear BB cream to work but none on days off. I guess I feel like mascara is so easy and fast to out on and on my face makes the most difference. I look way better with eyeliner (people have made comments) and rarely wear it out of laziness. Same with lipst...
