Re: Toronto Appraiser - reasonable appraisal value for insur
Yes, my ring is currently insured with Perfect Circle with the appraisal from the U.S.. However Perfect Circle asked for a Canadian appraisal as well. Basically, they said this is because of the difference in currency. I asked if they could just look up what the rate for the the Canadian dollar was ... |

Re: Toronto Appraiser - reasonable appraisal value for insur
I am also in Toronto and called around for quotes for insuring our JbEG engagement ring. I ended up choosing Perfect Circle. They were half the price of any other option. I had an appraisal from David Atlas (who is in the States). Perfect Circle has asked me to get a Canadian appraisal as well. I am... |

Re: Pls help me set my (formerly Arunajane's) AVC
I think your AVC would look amazing in the Julia Kay Taylor setting (pink tourmaline), which just happens to be my ring! Sorry Aoife, I just noticed that you said that this was your ring! Re: Opinions before we take the plunge
I have a K for my engagement ring. I LOVE it! It is an antique cushion and it's really white and bright. I can see yellow sometimes when I photograph the ring. This is probably due to my bad photography skills. I find high color stones look 'blue' to me, which I really dislike. I prefer a warmer sto... |

Re: What is the most beautiful diamond cut of all?
I have an true antique cushion for my engagement ring. The stone's beauty blows me away every day. Chunky flashes, pretty pastels, total fireball. I am so happy I chose an antique cut. I will never go back to modern cut stones! |

Re: Do people outside of PS comment on your ring(s)?
I own a retail store and I have mostly female customers. I always compliment women on their gorgeous rings! Hopefully, they take it as a compliment. I guess I am just anxiously awaiting my own engagement!!! Maybe I notice other women's rings because I am pining for my own (which is purchased but not... |

Lotus99 Thanks! ...I hope I love it too!!! yennyfire - I do think it will take some getting used too. Both my mom and my sister wear 1.5 carat rings and they do not look too big to me. I think this stone will be a similar size, since antique cushions face up a little smaller. Enerchi - thanks for yo... |

Re: Anxiously Awaiting My JbEG Antique Cushion
I just read through my earlier posts on Pricescope, specifically about my love for the Tiffany Ribbon Ring. This was what I originally wanted, but as I learned more I opted to not go the Tiffany route (and fell in love with antique cushions on the way). I think what I loved about the Tiffany Ribbon ... |

Re: LIW ...the wait is killing me!
I've been in love with the Ribbon ring for over 14 years now, and owned a .32ct center Ribbon years ago. I had to sell it back to T&Co when I was expecting #1, and always knew I'd replace it some day. I found a .67ct I/SI1 Crafted By Infinity that has all that I wanted (between .6 and .8 carats... |

Re: LIW ...the wait is killing me!
I believe the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) makes diamonds duty free. Depending on who you ship with you may have to pay brokerage fees. Fedex doesn't charge brokerage or it's included in their shipping. I'm also from Canada and boyfriend only paid for the sales tax on pick-up. Thanks... |
