Re: PS Mommy Thread-Newborn to 12 months!

PB - I'm nervous about flying in Dec with K at 9 months too. She was easy at 8 weeks, but now gets bored more easily, and with her long night-time sleep, I'm a little worried about that getting screwed up by jet lag. I hope we can get things shifted around and get back on track when we come back ho...

Re: PS Mommy Thread-Newborn to 12 months!

Aww, thanks for the comments on M. I think he's pretty cute, but I know I might have a small bias. ;)) Then again, PS'ers make some pretty darn cute babies! MP, yay for sales on the onsies! That is so great. How did the interview go? Mtjoya, glad you got an answer on the test, and hopefully you will...

Re: Another stroller thread...

lovinsparkles, I have the Bumbleride Indie as well. M started sitting in just the seat at about 5 and a half months (before that we used either his carseat or bassinet), and he is on the smaller side for his age. He can't sit up on his own yet (working on it!) but can sit up just fine supported, and...

Re: PS Mommy Thread-Newborn to 12 months!

I had just written a big long post and hit some button by accident and lost everything :nono: So quickly, love all the pics from Friday  And Jcrow, nice push present! HH, do what you need to do to get your sleep. It is important. And no matter when you move him to his nursery, you will find it...

Ginger, so sorry to hear about A :(( Glad you used that mommy instinct though. Charger, yay on the weight gain! MP, I agree with Mara that I don't know if I would put rice in his bottle at this point either. I think her suggestion to feed him more solids closer to bed time could work, and also to tr...

Re: Cloth Diapers?

PG, mine is a frigidaire as well. We are not on solids yet, but soon...so I will make sure I watch out for the rubber ring issue :errrr: LV, see I guess this is where you see not every system works for everyone. Oobie doesn't like the Thirstie's at all, and I loved them. I have the size 1 duos, and ...

Re: PS Mommy Thread-Newborn to 12 months!

Well, up at 1pm, ate, changed diaper and a quick play and back to sleep at 2! Jcrow, he has what D and I call "the happy sads" Where he will smile and laugh a bit, but it is often followed by a cry. So he's not super fussy, but not quite his happy self. Sounds like today is better for you!...

Re: Cloth Diapers?

re HE washers, I'm not sure what options you have on your machine, but we have another way that we "trick" the machine to use more water. I do a short cold wash first to rinse the diapers, no detergent, and there is an option to select 'no spin'. This keeps the diapers heavier obviously, s...

SS, so glad to hear that everything seems to be ok. That must have been so scary. re: sleep, in the beginning Miles slept with us in the room. Hi ladies, sorry I have been missing the past couple of weeks. Ginger, love that chin story! So cute, I can hardly wait until M reaches that stage. I would just do as others suggested and keep tryi...

Re: PS Mommy Thread-Newborn to 12 months!

Thanks for the support. I think the reason D doesn't think much of his sleep schedule is that he is not the one to get up with him at night, or deal with a cranky baby the next day. However, I do think we are reaching the point where family obligations are dying down, but if it continues, I'll have ...

Re: PS Mommy Thread-Newborn to 12 months!

So last night was not any better. Do you think it's from something other than his shots? He got them on Monday, and it's now Thursday. Re: PS Mommy Thread-Newborn to 12 months!

So we did NOT have a good night last night. M was up half an hour after I went to bed, and then every two hours after that. Crying, which is unusual for him. I was worried about how he was feeling, so I would spend at least an hour with him, feeding, rocking, etc. I guess each time thinking after th...

Re: PS Mommy Thread-Newborn to 12 months!

So, as I said, Miles had his four month appointment yesterday. He is 13.5 pounds and 24 inches, so 15% percentile for both. My little peanut! But if you use his adjusted age he would be around 50% for both, so really either way he is doing great. He is growing and healthy so that is all that really ...

Happy Monday ladies! I was coming on here to post about my success with de-swaddling, but now I just feel like I'm bragging - sorry Addy. Re: PS Mommy Thread-Newborn to 12 months!

Lanie , for me I found it easier to change and feed Miles in the living room. He is still sleeping in his pnp in our room at almost four months, and we have a sound machine with a blue night light so it's not totally dark, but I just find it easier to do everything outside of the bedroom. I also di...
