Re: Who pays for the fees on a wire transfer?

Hi, I don't understand why the recipient would be charged a fee. The transfer just comes in as a deposit to a bank account. I know of no bank that charges to take your money. I'm like DF--my bank doesn't charge wire transfers either way. If your bank charges you a fee to transfer, thats on you. Ann...

Re: Who pays for the fees on a wire transfer?

Thank you, everyone, for your responding. I didn't realise that US banks don't charge the recipient a fee. Here, in Singapore, all wire transfers - whether within SG or internationally - attract both a sender's fee and a recipient's fee (though the latter is usually not quantified until after the wi...

Re: Any non-diamond piece you are coveting lately?

Yes, a high-end diamond studded watch, like a Richard Mille (ok, that's NEVER going to happen!).

Oops, you said non-diamond! :naughty:

Ok, I'll take a RM without diamonds then, ha ha.

Who pays for the fees on a wire transfer?

I was just wondering. I've always paid the fees/ charges (both sender's and recipient''s) when I send a wire to a vendor. But it seems that that is not the norm.

What about transactions on Preloved? Who bears the charges?

Re: Oil Pulling - how to stop the gag reflex?!

Thank you, Mary Poppins. They do say that you'd have to try for a while first before you notice any health benefits. Amongst the benefits listed, teeth whitening is claimed to be one. I wouldn't mind having whiter teeth and generally better health, dental or otherwise. :)) Thanks for the suggestion ...

Re: Oil Pulling - how to stop the gag reflex?!

I did it a few times and didn't have a gag reflex. I swished about a tablespoon of sesame oil in the same way I do with water after brushing my teeth, but for longer. I like the flavor of sesame oil. I don't know what kind of oil you are using now, but you could try switching to a type you think ta...

Re: Oil Pulling - how to stop the gag reflex?!

I have tried this and only the first few times I wanted to gag, but after that it was a breeze. I just did it while surfing the net and was pretty much distracted while doing it. Glad to hear it gets better. I was almost sick for about an hour afterwards. Have you noticed any health benefits?

Re: Whiteflash studs, 1.6 ctw, keep or go bigger now?

I also think that these look large on your dainty earlobes, I'd say they look like 1ct each. However, performance wise, didn't one stone have an HCA of more than 2? But hey what do I know?! The folks at WF must have thought that they were good enough to be given the ES designation. I'd personally se...

Re: Options for 2.656ct H Si2 BGD stone

that the clarity on my stone is closer to an Si1 , as the inclusions are on the edge of the stone and it's very hard to see them even with a loupe. This 2.625ct is $33k vs mine at $30k, so about $10k discount for this branded/ superideal cut diamond, which I thought was fair. [ Indeed, your stone l...
