I didn't leave negative feedback for the seller, because, in their defence, they did state that the pearls were "sold to them as Tahitian". I did send an e-mail to her telling her so that hopefully in future, she won't be duped either. They were inexpensive, so I knew I was taking a huge ... |

Akoya on average have the highest luster of all cultured pearls but the new breed of gem grade freshwater pearls available certainly give them a run for their money. |

Is there a visible difference between AA+ and AAA akoyas? For the akoyas the big difference between the 2 grades is going to be luster, its not a HUGE difference but it certainly noticeable. Circe, I would keep looking. The first pair are a off color and would be considered culls. The second pair are button shape, Do you really want to pay that much for used button pearls? Pretty much sums it up - you can do a lot better then these two options. The luster on the first pair seems good b... |

just making an estimate based on what our customers choose and its about 60% yellow gold, 40% white gold. In my opinion white gold gives a more modern look for what its worth. |

those are low quality freshwater pearls, very off round, badly match, dull luster etc. - it would be highway robbery to charge anybody $775 that necklace. Please do not pay that price for those. |

at one time nearly all pearls 7.5mm or smaller were of Chinese origin, this is exactly the case anymore but certainly its possible for Chinese Akoya pearls to be certified Hanadama. Hanadama isn't a certification of origin but quality, so it doesn't matter where they were grown as long as they meet ... |

If the budget allows go with the bigger, I've never had a customer contact me to exchange larger pearls for smaller ones. Plus as you age you will appreciate the larger size as well. Go big or go home right
