Re: Gift for wife but new to pearls; is this a good choice?
yikes - please steer clear of that seller. Definitely not natural and not south sea, they are big though I'll give them that. |

Re: Help please! What are these?
I didn't leave negative feedback for the seller, because, in their defence, they did state that the pearls were "sold to them as Tahitian". I did send an e-mail to her telling her so that hopefully in future, she won't be duped either. They were inexpensive, so I knew I was taking a huge ... |

Re: What type of pearl has amazing luster?
Akoya on average have the highest luster of all cultured pearls but the new breed of gem grade freshwater pearls available certainly give them a run for their money. |

Re: AA+ vs. AAA
Is there a visible difference between AA+ and AAA akoyas? For the akoyas the big difference between the 2 grades is going to be luster, its not a HUGE difference but it certainly noticeable. It sounds like AAA is what I need to go with. Who knew pearls were like diamonds..... ;) Oh pearls are MUCH ... |

Re: Golden Kojima Pearl in T Lee Bracelet
now that's an interesting bracelet! Does the loop put pressure on the pearl though? I'd be worried the constant pressure would wiggle the pearl off the post. |

Re: Trying to pick some big pearl studs ....
Circe, I would keep looking. The first pair are a off color and would be considered culls. The second pair are button shape, Do you really want to pay that much for used button pearls? Pretty much sums it up - you can do a lot better then these two options. The luster on the first pair seems good b... |

Stephen, My intention is not to bash anyone personally, I came to this forum not to sell but to help shed some light on the pearl industry as there is a lot of poor information out there. just making an estimate based on what our customers choose and its about 60% yellow gold, 40% white gold. In my opinion white gold gives a more modern look for what its worth. |
