Hope, I bought a Tiffany Lucida for about similar price for my fiancee early this year. Our ring was even smaller than yours @ just over 1 carat but of higher quality! I work at a private-equity firm. My fiancee works in the neonatal intensive care unit at a hospital with others (Doctors and nurses)... |

I agree with Nicrez. I chose to get a Tiffany ring for my fiancee. I think you really have to value their design, craftmanship, and brand combo to be willing to pay the premium. I was neutral on this issue until I found out that my fiancee really loved the Lucida diamond and setting, which is a Tiffan... |

i'd say ebay or perhaps this forum. If you do some research around here, you'll find that you'll get next to nothing if you try to sell it to a jewler, who will ultimately have to sell it to another customer and make a profit. So why not try to sell it to an end user yourself. Make sure you take lot... |

Fuzzdawg, Congrats on your recent engagement, dude! I applaude you for your 'saving yourself' for marriage. As long as your girl has same or very similar value, I think 23 is not too young. It seems like the original poster just wants to know if it was a good deal. Its quite easy to do so just by comparing prices of other online dealers. maristidou, lovely diamond!!!! Congrats! The aquamarine ring is also fabulous. If you don't mind me asking, how much does a aquamarine ring like that cost? Where did you get yours? I really love aquamarines and am thinking about getting one for my lady! |

ambenj, Yes, you would have gotten more for the ring, intact! I didn't know that the 400 you quoted was for the diamond itself. Yes, I also agree that a solitare is da bomb. Ofcourse, it is just a preference. One dimaond for one woman, one man, one union, etc. Three stones for past, present, future? Hey everyone, I never realized that an annual premium for diamond insurance was only 88 to 130 dollars per year. Symmetry refers to the alignment of the facets and polish refers to the smoothness of the surface.... these two as well as 'cut' are the only things that are controllable by human handling unlike color & clarity. What does that mean, really? IMO, the most important thing is 'cut'. Its strange that '... |

I agree that it is a good deal. You can't compare what you paid with the lowest price quoted on the internet. Besides, its only off by a few hundred to the prices quoted above.
