Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Hi ladies! I have been avoiding this thread until we announced to family and friends, because I know several PSers IRL and felt guilty about them knowing before my in laws! I am due with our first baby on March 15... Can't wait! I am so glad to be out of the first trimester. I was sick as a do...

Re: The Official TTC Thread!

I am cautiously dipping my toe in the water. This is our second cycle trying and I'm currently 10 DPO. I do feel like we learned more this cycle, because I started with OPKs for the first time, and I ovulate much earlier than I thought I would, CD9. I absolutely can't hate the waiting! One moment I'...

Re: Foster homes for pets of deployed military personnel

This is awesome! My husband is in the Air Force and about to leave on his first deployment. While I'm only going home for a short time when he leaves this time, I can imagine down the road if he has longer deployments and we have kids, it would be nice to stay with my parents for a few months. The o...

Re: Wedding dilemma...WWYD?

When I'm facing a decision like this, I try to think about what I will think about my choice 10 years from now. What do you think you will regret more? Missing work or missing the wedding.

Re: Frying pan advice

I work in a high end kitchen store.. so I might be able to help! Can't go wrong with cast iron. Lodge is a brand that's American made and will last you several years. if you decide to spend more money for something that will last you (and your next of kin) forever, go with Le Creuset or Staub. Re: Do you own a second home?

We own two. When we bought our house in Oklahoma we always intended to rent it out when we left. So, we bought our current house in NJ this summer and are currently leasing out the old house in OK.

Re: IYO...is owning pets a luxury?

Yes. I had a FB friend who was constantly moaning about her finances, but then kept picking up pets for a few months and then had to get rid of them when she hit a financial road block. It made me crazy and I had to de-friend.

Re: How would you handle...

I don't think you share blood supply until you are 6 weeks along. You should be fine!

If you aren't comfortable with it, use the antibiotic excuse.

Re: Who makes good quality men's wallets in the <$200 range?

They don't come in black, but my husband loves J.W. Hulme products. We like to try to buy American made products when we can.

Re: Escrowed tax bill

In my experience working with mortgagees (on the insurance side) they will pay late fees if they missed the payment. I would call and have them sort it out immediately.

I thought it was so lovely. I can't even comprehend getting upset over this commercial. One of the most beautiful things about America is that we are a melting pot of race, culture, and yes... languages.

Re: So I hear you bought a house...

Since you are planning on getting stainless steel appliances, I would wait a little bf changing the light. The appliances will change the whole look of the room. Also, I saw you liked the drum light in your other thread. Just make sure it's easy to clean if you get fabric bc dust tends to build up ...

Oupeargirl, I moved to NJ at the beginning of 2012. Where in NJ are you? I live in South Jersey, Mullica Hill/ Harrison Township. Do you like it? I miss NY a lot sometimes. All my family is there and it's hard to meet people bc our houses are farther apart. But the kids love it and I do enjoy the a...

Re: Death sentence for Boston bomber.

I go back and forth.

Do I have a problem with him being sentenced to death? No.

But I really wish he'd have to rot in a cell with pictures of the bleeding victims wallpapering his walls.

Re: Which kitchen would you prefer?

I agree with all of what momhappy has said! The hardest part of making all of these decisions is that your personal style and taste should matter very little. Don't spend more money to give it your own flair, if it's less expensive to get something neutral and attractive to home buyers. As far as gr...

Re: So I hear you bought a house...

I'm currently on a light fixture kick. The day we moved in I knew we'd be swapping out almost every one in the house. I hate this one in my kitchen. Besides looking cheap and totally 80's, it doesn't really provide a lot of light. Any suggestions for something simple and traditional, but still looks...

Help me find a light fixture for my kitchen

I am normally pretty good at making decisions for updating our home, but I cannot for the life of me pick a light fixture for our kitchen. I will resurrect an old thread! Love seeing all of the beautiful homes and "projects." We bought our house in late June. It was built in 1984 and has wonderful bones, but definitely needs some updating. So far we have painted just about every room (and even some outside!), put in new carpe...

2013 was a big year for us. We loaded up our cars and moved from Oklahoma to New Jersey because Uncle Sam told us to! We have absolutely loved living here. We are so close to big cities (Philly! NYC! DC! THE BEACH!) so we have been trying to live it up for the few years we are here. We bought a hous...
