Hello, I am looking at a 2,5 carat diamond clarity SI2-3 and color G. I have not seen it in person, but how do you think it will look in a ring, and whats the value. Looking forward for your answers Hi Freaks, Unfortunately we cannot answer your questions with any accuracy. I take it this diamond i... |

Re: Need a little bit of help here with an emerald cut.
Hi MC and welcome! I agree with Jules, the .54 is the pick of the bunch, next step if you are interested in this diamond is to ask James Allen for an ASET image. They should be able to provide this image within a couple of days then once you have it, post it here and we can take a look for you. |

Thank you for all your replies. I don't have an image of the diamond as I am not buying it from online. Hi Z, It is possible the diamond was a trade in or it could have just been in stock for a while, in the scheme of things this report isn't particularly old. Ask the vendor if they can tell you more about it, they should be able to tell you if it was a trade in or if the diamond just taken a little w... |

Re: Help to decide on a 1.9 ct. round diamond
Hi LMD, The numbers do look promising, as Dreamer mentions it is important to know if the stone is eyeclean to your requirements/ Mom's requirements or not. I take it you intend to set the diamond in a ring? What a fantastic gift for your Mom of such a substantial diamond!!! |

Glad you find us helpful ClearWinner, thanks for your kind words! I agree with Stone, the image also isn't meant to be a ' glamour shot' but one to show inclusions under magnification or lack of as the case may be. I wouldn't read too much into it. |

Re: newbie looking for some diamond help
Ok. Another quick question. It seems like the GIA grading of Excellent for the cut really isn't as reliable as using HCA. Is this correct? GIA's cut grading is parametric based and also they round the proportions so with the critical crown and pavilion angles, these might have a slightly different ... |

Up to you. If it is eye-clean to your spec, then it is eye-clean whatever the grade but, again, do not just assume it is. Re: What do you think about this one?
VG cut grade is not necessary bad. There are some proportions which will get you a VG with GIA but Ideal in AGS. GIA also automatically drop a cut grade when brillianteering is over a certain limit, not necessary bad but 8star stones would never get GIA Ex cut grade because of this. Ditto this, in ... |
