Re: 2 ct SI2-3 G value?

Hello, I am looking at a 2,5 carat diamond clarity SI2-3 and color G. I have not seen it in person, but how do you think it will look in a ring, and whats the value. Looking forward for your answers Hi Freaks, Unfortunately we cannot answer your questions with any accuracy. I take it this diamond i...

Re: Need a little bit of help here with an emerald cut.

Hi MC and welcome!

I agree with Jules, the .54 is the pick of the bunch, next step if you are interested in this diamond is to ask James Allen for an ASET image. They should be able to provide this image within a couple of days then once you have it, post it here and we can take a look for you.

Re: Opinion on Diamond - table size?

Thank you for all your replies. I don't have an image of the diamond as I am not buying it from online. I have only seen the GIA report and have an appointment with the jeweler to see the diamond tomorrow. How can I tell beside the idealscope image that the diamond is leaking light? Also study the ...

Re: question on diamond inventories

Hi Z, It is possible the diamond was a trade in or it could have just been in stock for a while, in the scheme of things this report isn't particularly old. Ask the vendor if they can tell you more about it, they should be able to tell you if it was a trade in or if the diamond just taken a little w...

I am going to talk to the lady that is working with me in buying the ring. I am going to have her get me some more options within my price range that I can choose from. When I tell her some specs that I would like to see in some of the stones, what should be at the top of my list for her to find? H...

Re: Help to decide on a 1.9 ct. round diamond

Hi LMD,

The numbers do look promising, as Dreamer mentions it is important to know if the stone is eyeclean to your requirements/ Mom's requirements or not.

I take it you intend to set the diamond in a ring? What a fantastic gift for your Mom of such a substantial diamond!!!

Glad you find us helpful ClearWinner, thanks for your kind words!

I agree with Stone, the image also isn't meant to be a ' glamour shot' but one to show inclusions under magnification or lack of as the case may be. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Re: newbie looking for some diamond help

Ok. Another quick question. It seems like the GIA grading of Excellent for the cut really isn't as reliable as using HCA. Is this correct? GIA's cut grading is parametric based and also they round the proportions so with the critical crown and pavilion angles, these might have a slightly different ...

I don't tend to wear a lot of make-up: just lipstick and a little powder liner and mascara. But the other day I frowned at my eyebrows, and breathed a deep sigh, and wandered in...

Re: Help choosing between 3 diamonds - 1.5 ct AGS 0

I don't know why stone and 1 and 3 don't say girdle thickness on the reports but I've never looked at an AGS report before, only GIA one's which tend to state this. Hi Cheyne, AGS use numeric values to denote girdle thickness, I can't see the image clearly that you refer to on the report but if you...

Re: Trying to buy a perfect engagement ring over 1 ct cheap!

Up to you. If it is eye-clean to your spec, then it is eye-clean whatever the grade but, again, do not just assume it is. Absolutely, do make sure you check that the diamond is eyeclean to your specifications carefully. The numbers of the stone you are interested in look good, but no way of knowing...

Re: What do you think about this one?

VG cut grade is not necessary bad. There are some proportions which will get you a VG with GIA but Ideal in AGS. GIA also automatically drop a cut grade when brillianteering is over a certain limit, not necessary bad but 8star stones would never get GIA Ex cut grade because of this. Ditto this, in ...

Re: Opinion on Diamond - table size?

H Meeko and welcome!
