I had my surgery on 9/17.  All went well and preliminary pathology shows all the cancer was removed with clear margins.  I go for post op appt tomorrow and will get the official pathology report and have my incision checked.  Right now my breast is black and blue, I didn''t know there...

Everyone has an opinion but I have had two diamond rings in my lifetime and both were not well cut diamonds.  I''m 47 and just got married in June.  My engagement ring has a diamond in it about the same size as yours.  I finally decided that I wanted to go for an excellent cut instead...

Picks to follow definately.  I emaled Chris at WF to get the diamond reserved and am waiting to hear from him.  Now the question I''m pondering is what kind of head, 6 prong or 4.  Decisions, decisions, decisions

I haven''t reserved it yet, but getting ready to.  And yes I''m going to put it in my original setting.  I love my setting.  Both bands have little bitty pave diamonds.  Each band is .25 ct.  Its amazing how sparkly those little things can be.  I''m having surgery wed. ...

Yeah.  Don''t get me wrong I love the princess cut, but Chris from WF was talking to me about how much bigger and brighter the round would look.  My stone now is just plain dull and now that I''ve educated myself a bit I want a really pretty sparkly diamond.

found THE one

I think I finally found the one.  Its small compared with many on here but I wanted a sparkler.  It scores 0.6 on the HCA excellent in all categories.  I found many that scored excellent in all except spread.  I''m so excited.  What do you all think? http://www.whiteflash.co...

I think I actually like the warm color.  I just don''t want cloudiness.  I''m going to go search for some J color stones.  I appreciate all the help very much.

He was concerned I wouldn''t like the J color.  He was also saying that some SI stones have visiible inclusions, so I need to ask him if that one is eye clean.  Which one would you get?  There''s a $500 difference, do you think its worth that much of a difference?

Yes I''m considering both.  Its just such a price jump between the two.  I''ve been emailing with Chris from Whiteflash.  He said the more expensive stone is really nice.

To Lorelei or anyone else interested in more princess questions

So do you think If i buy a princess from whiteflash that is in their a cut above catergory, looks like all those have a 0 rating on the ags, get the color I want and an eye clean stone that I can''t go wrong.  I have found one and ist an si1, but the inclusions are both on the edges.

Which would you pick?

Between the first two stones listed here.  The 2nd looks a little better, but is it $500 better?

Kelli,
Now I''m confused. I was looking at the ags report on some stones at whiteflash. I only was a rating for color and clarity. Does the ags not take into account the cut? I like warmer stones so I''m looking and H and I and those don''t rate so well because of the color.

Loreli, Thank you.  I''ve been looking at diamonds at whiteflash and bluenile.  Blue nile has this signature Ideal line of stones that a re their best cut and have excellent polish and symmetry.  Have you heard of people here that have bought one of those?  I''m going to read the...

Diamond questions

I''ve been reading the tutorials and have a few question I know some of you experts can answer. When you''re looking at the crown and pavilion angles do you want those numbers to be close to the same? I''m also confused about the girlde.  I understand what it is, but what is the optimal girdle ...

Hey all, Thanks for all the advise.  I''v pretty much decided I will probably go with Whiteflash.  They seem to have a wide selection and people here seem to trust them and have had good outcomes.  When it gets closer to December I will post more stones and let you guys help me pick a...

Wink, yes mine is clouding on me.  I''ve cleaned it.  I didn''t know much about diamonds and how important cut is when we got it.  Sometimes it looks a little cloudy.  Sometimes more than a little cloudy.  So I''m shopping and learning.  I get a bonus in December which ...

One more questions

If you get a good quality diamond should it look good in all light? I know it will look different but do all stones look cloudy at times? Am I asking too much to want a stone that looks fairly clear in different light?

Princess @ Whiteflash

I''m princess shopping.  Whiteflash has a cut above princess and then they have their expert collection princesses.  Anyone know if there is a great deal of difference between the two?

Thank you so much for the links. I was hoping to stay at or under $1200. I''m most concerned that I get a diamond that doesn''t look cloudy. That''s my biggest disappointment with my current stone. So in just looking at a stone with the naked eye you wouldn''t see much difference between vs2, s1, or...

I''m looking at stones using the tools from pricescope.  Many of them are kicked out because the depth percentage is too high.  Is there an ideal depth percentage?
