Re: Heartbroken- PerfectCircle Outcome

Glad to hear you got it resolved to your satisfaction. However, I am confused as to what the insurance company did wrong. Their policy clearly states what happens in the event of a loss of a branded item. You must re-buy out of pocket, submit a receipt, and you will get reimbursed. Emotions aside, w...

Re: Jlo's bling

Pretty.

Those nails surely aren't very hygenic though! There is a reason nurses keep their nails trimmed very short.

Okay, that is truly stunning!! What a special piece for an heirloom diamond that means so much. Lucky gal. Congrats! :)
Re: Calling all the Pregnant PS''ers

Muff,

My boy twin (twin B) was transverse at 35 weeks. They did not think he would flip so late in the game, so I did have a C section. I have had both types of deliveries and I actually preferred the C.

Hi to everyone else! You all look fantastic!

Re: What do mom's of 4 drive other than a van?

I have 4 kids and I went the minivan route.

However, I know people who love their Suburban.

Re: Would you pay extra for a Tiffany & Co. solitaire?

I adore the classic T & Co solitaire, but no. Way too overpriced IMO.

Re: What's the most $$$ you would wear on your finger?

These days with four small kids, fancy rings have sort of lost their appeal to me. So I would answer much differently than I would have 4-5 years ago. Now I would say $2k or less.

Re: HELP! DSS has set in less than 3 months of being engaged

If there's one thing I've learned in life, it's to try to be happy with what you already have and not be on the quest for bigger and grander all the time. Not saying you can't upgrade down the road for a big anniversary, but my advice would be to enjoy the gorgeous and large ring you have now.

I contacted VC for a quote on a project last year, and the response I got was very terse and decidedly cool, so I went with another vendor.

Re: Does this thick band make my stone look smaller? Reset?

I think your set is gorgeous! I think you would so miss the feel and the thickness of your set. I disagree that a thicker band makes your diamond look smaller. My sister in law has a comfort fit thick setting with a 1 carat princess and it looks massive because of the thick settings, it gives it su...

Re: The Official TTC for 6 Months or More Thread

Hi ladies! Sorry for falling off the face of the earth, and didn't know where to post this but I figured I spent the most time here so that's where I came back to. Re: Paging Skippy and any other parents of multiples

Thanks Laila. If I already had an OB, I definitely would start with him/her. I don't particularly want to overmedicalize everything and be treated as a high risk case. I think that might stress me out more. It's hard though because I don't really want to start with a new OB I'm not really familiar ...

Re: Paging Skippy and any other parents of multiples

If anyone is checking this thread, I have a question for you. I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow with twins, and so far, things are looking good (although I still feel really cautious and pretty much in shock about the twins part). The OB/GYN I used when pregnant with my son no longer does OB, so I need to f...

Re: unpopular jewelry opinions

Me too, Yssie. I'd rather have a small diamond in a spectacular ring than a larger diamond in a solitaire.

I thought of some more: I like peg head settings, and I like cluster halos/rings.

Me too! The wider the better IMO.

My unpopular opinions: I absolutely lurve Blue Nile and think they are great quality and value. I love J and K colored diamonds, and I prefer to buy Si1 to Si2 clarity to get the most bang for my buck.

Hi Skippy, thanks so much!! They will be 8 weeks tomorrow, so I'm really hoping they will turn a corner soon.
