Re: Whiteflash ACAs really worth it?

If you stick to a diamond with Table 53 to 57, depth 60-62%, crown 34-35, maybe 35.5, and pav 40.6-40.9, you will get a beautiful, sparkly stone. It is not necessary to buy only branded stones such as BGD or CBI or ACA , as there are plenty of beautiful unbranded stones also. That's like saying only...

Re: Leo Diamond - thoughts?

I posted my specs. The loose diamond from Jared was similar to mine for $1,800. Sorry I wasn't clear. It's hard updating on a phone. I don't see the numbers posted anywhere, depth, table, crown and Pavillion angles. Are they not included on IGI certs? I haven't seen one in a long time. Most Leos do...

Re: Old cut craze...

Hello gals and gents! This is for everyone, but especially anyone who switched from a round brilliant to an OEC or other older style cut. Did you genuinely have a love for old cut stones long before you found PS, or do you think your liking of them is the direct result of seeing others' OECs on PS?...

Re: Old cut craze...

Hi Laila619, for me it started with me getting a MRB for my ering and then discovering Pricescope after the fact. :wall: (if only I had known about PS) I went through phases over the years of wanting every kind of cut from princess-oval-asscher-cushion (desire and ambition still there) Howeve...

Re: Leo Diamond - thoughts?

You probably overpaid, but you like the stone, right? Not all Leos are bad. I used to own a pretty decent one that certainly sparkled. Up to you if you want to keep it. You can get more bang for your buck elsewhere.

Re: WF vs eWeddingBands

Those are the SAME band! They are both made by Benchmark. It's their European comfort fit band. Www.benchmarkrings.com WF has high-ish prices IMO. James Allen also sells Benchmark rings (under their classic bands) and they are usually cheaper than WF too. I wonder if WF's Benchmark prices are higher...

Re: Leon Mege's website blasts the HCA

60% depth, 56% table, 38° crown angle, 40° pavilion angle, Here are some rubbish numbers i used with the HCA. It came back 0.7. w00t. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk Are those GIA XXX numbers??? Re: Leon Mege's website blasts the HCA

Well the HCA is kinda silly at times. It gives good scores to shallower pavilion angles. My Leo diamond was a piece of junk, yet because it had a pav angle of 40.3 it got a good score, under 2. It actually had a lot of obstruction because of such a shallow pav. Of course Leon's delivery is certainly...

Re: Abortion Ban Victory in OK

They are trying to open a wedge to overturn Roe vs Wade . States have passed similar laws before, all struck down, as this one too should be. I wonder how many of the people supporting this bill have had an abortion, and rationalized that theirs was somehow just. Agree with liaerfbv. Some seem ince...

Re: Are tennis bracelets still in style?

I'm sure there are going to be a ton of replies after mine saying that they are timeless and classic, but to me, no. They are a little dated, and they seem almost matronly (for lack of a better word) to me. Just my opinion.

Re: Stuller 3 stone ring quality?

I would not go custom. It's not for the faint-hearted! Ask Yekutiel about a Unique Settings mounting. See what he thinks. It will be better quality than the Stuller, and there are tons of different size combinations.

Re: Do you think this depth % was a typo?

40.8% is most likely the pavilion depth, not the stone's total depth.

Re: Stuller 3 stone ring quality?

I would look into Unique Settings of NY. www.uniquesettings.com... They are like Stuller but sometimes cheaper. Quality is good. And they have TONS of 3 stone settings. IDJ and GOG both work with the company.

Re: Custom Setting My Only Option?

Honestly, I am not sure a 2mm gold ring with pave stones will be very durable, esp since your girlfriend is a nurse and she will be wearing gloves. When gold is scratched or dinged, it actually wears away and metal is lost. You can get her a 2mm channel set ring, but I do not think she will be able ...

Re: Please help me justify Tacori platinum setting purchase

Beautiful setting, but for $12,000???! That's the price of a really nice, sizable diamond. I'm sure you could find something similar in looks without the crazy price tag.

Re: How to set to minimize warmth?

I would do either unplated white gold (for a hint of creaminess) or Palladium (the grayish white hue will help minimize warmth).

Re: What am I missing with this pear? Graded incorrectly?

It really depends on neck size, honestly. I am 5'7" and 130 lb, size 4-6, and I CANNOT wear 16" necklaces/pendants. They are way too short for me and don't sit right. I need 18".

Re: Trump's butler is a classy guy too.

Trump isn't his butler, and he shouldn't be held responsible for some former employee's rant. I'm sure we've all had employees or employers with whom we didn't agree and didn't share the same opinions and values.

Re: Help pricing grandmother's 3ct diamond ring?

If you can't or don't want to dismantle the ring, you won't be able to ever know the true worth of the ring, and it's just going to be an estimate that may or may not be accurate. I mean, you could say $30,000 and it could be way off. No way to know without a GIA report unfortunately. Are you sure y...
