Re: Options for my 9 stone band, please help out.

Oh you sound so much like me! I got engaged/married in 2008 and have gone through countless resets, diamonds, rings, bands, etc. It is insane how crazy (and what a waste of money) it all was looking back. Now I am content with just a plain band, and it feels so freeing!! Maybe that would be best for...

Re: The Official TTC for 6 Months or More Thread

MP, mine was really high at 11 weeks, and I still got AF 29 days later. You might be one of the 'lucky' ones who has AF return relatively quickly. When you have infertility and your eggs are not getting any younger, it sucks having to wait around and waste time. Getting pregnant again did help me he...

Re: Setting an antique cushion: Sholdt's 14k VS 18K RG?

Gold is naturally yellow and 18k rose is still 75% pure gold, so that is why it will be less coppery than 14k. 14k is only 58% pure gold; the other 42% is comprised of alloys. 18k rose is pretty subtle; some people say they can't tell it's rose until it's put next to a yellow gold piece.

Re: Setting an antique cushion: Sholdt's 14k VS 18K RG?

14k is pinker but also more coppery since the copper content is generally higher in 14k than 18k. 18k will be more of a blush/apricot hue.

Re: Why we shouldn't use HCA tool for AGS triple ideal diamo

Anyone who says that is incorrect IMO. You absolutely should use the HCA on all stones.

Not only do these fans not care, they openly defend "their" players and give them standing ovations when they come on the field. So disgusting.

Aww, MP, I'm so sorry. It's hard enough to go through infertility, but to have a loss of a much-wanted baby hurts beyond belief. I was so hoping you were wrong. I am proud of you for being your own advocate and for insisting on getting seen sooner.

Re: Vent/Rage of the day thread

Hugs to everyone. I want to vent about my new house. Ever since we moved in, we've been discovering all sorts of problems with work the contractors did. We paid them a lot of money to remodel the house before we moved in, and it's just all sorts of sloppy, crappy workmanship. Bad paint jobs, chipped...

Re: KUDOS to the NFL for firing player for domestic violence

How about Ray Lewis? It's disgusting that all those fans idolized him too after what he did. He was definitely involved in some way with a murder. The NFL hires and employs a bunch of thugs simply because they can run with or catch a football. I'm sure there are some nice, upstanding players that ha...

Thanks, LV. That is a very good beta, right? Congrats! I wouldn't worry too much about your fever and the Tylenol (although easier said than done since I know we are both worriers/researchers). Re: The Official TTC for 6 Months or More Thread

Laila, when you had your loss, did you miscarry naturally, or did you have to have a D&C or take cytotec (or whatever it is called)? I'm just thinking ahead and wondering what the best way to handle this will be. I've seen things about people getting Asherman's from D&C's, and that scares m...

Re: Reset ideas for 1 ct round diamond?

I personally think the Anne Marie would be beautiful. I can't imagine why it wouldn't suit a one carat; that is a nice sized stone! I am not a fan of wearing two rings together either, and I think the Anne Marie would be very sophisticated and have a lot of presence on its own.

Ugh, 2 more weeks?! That is so far away. :((

Are they also monitoring your progesterone? If it's going up or staying steady, that's at least a good sign. That was one of my red flags, that mine had gotten so low.

Re: The Official TTC for 6 Months or More Thread

MP, I know exactly how you're feeling. I saw a heartbeat, they assured me everything was fine even though I was measuring behind and I had a bad feeling, and sure enough I did end up miscarrying. I didn't even have betas to go off of, but my progesterone was only 13. BUT, that said, it really could ...

Just size it and wear it IMO. I don't get what switching to a 7 or a 5 stone band would do. I think the finger coverage would be less, plus it would be a hassle.

Re: Mom's With 2 or more under 5 - what ring do you wear?

Hi, I will soon be a mom to 4 under 4 (3.5 year old, 1.5 year old, and twin newborns) and I don't generally wear any rings on a daily basis, but I have a plain 3mm comfort fit band and a diamond band with 9 x 0.07. Re: Help with NT results

I honestly wouldn't worry about it. With my son, I was given 1:800 odds for Down syndrome due to very high free beta HCG levels. It was something like 2.42 MoM. Even worse, the tech NEVER checked for a nasal bone; I remember my doctor saying she wasn't trained to do so. So we didn't even have that f...
