Huff, I had a SCH. Started bleeding bright red at 8w1d. It was incredibly scary, but my daughter was born at 40 w1d and is now a healthy 3 year old little girl. Hang in there! Try not to read too much, you will scare yourself.

Re: Should I resize my ring?

After four pregnancies in 4.5 years, I gained a lot of weight. My rings didn't fit, my fingers went from a 5.75 to a 7.5. Finally, after 15 months post-partum, I lost most of the weight and only have 10 lbs to go. I now wear a 7. So even though I am skinny again, and most of the weight is gone, I pr...

I love that, it seems like such a nice tradition. I have heard the man wears an "engagement" band too.

Pearaffair, very pretty and classic! Is it yellow gold or is it just reflecting background color? Can't tell very well. I love a shiny plain band.

Re: Help...anyone regret going from MRB to OEC/AVR/antique c

Following closely...sent my BGB in VC setting with Grace. Felt like I had to have an OEC. Really want a great old cut versus newer one. Not sure I have a reason just how I feel when I see the close ups. I have had the bug since ROL got her's at the Miami Antique show last year. Still in shock I han...

JMO, but I think your current stone is amazing! Such high color and with fluor. Are you sure you want to give that up?! Your current stone is so icy white and huge and well cut.

Re: Simple wedding band vendor.

I've shopped around for plain bands a lot, so I have some good recs for you. E-weddingbands is good. They are not always the lowest price. Iweddingband.com is great too, as is weddingringhotline.com also. They are all competitively priced and sell good quality (not cast) bands. James Allen is good t...

Re: Good New Yorker piece on gender and public bathrooms

I don't understand why women take so long in stalls. It's like come on! Just go, do your business, and be done. Takes me one minute. Lines are always so darn long that it's just dumb. I try to avoid public bathrooms as much as possible. Fortunately, I have a bladder of steel, lol. This is the under...

Re: BGD recut analysis.... what would you do?!

Sorry but this is not a good candidate for a recut you will lose a LOT of value, in the thousands, and that is on top of the cost to recut. If you had a grading report or a decent estimate of color/clarity I could even estimate how much value you would lose. The loss is so great, if you must change...

Re: Good New Yorker piece on gender and public bathrooms

My university had a "co-ed bathrooms after 12am" rule and we all hated it so much that we (as a dorm) over ruled it. Now, part of that was because of the shower situation, but I would still not be comfortable in a bathroom with men. I also hate sending my young son (age 11) into the men's...

Re: Tacky question

To many people, comfortable = wealthy. If one is comfortable, presumably they don't worry about how they are going to pay their bills, they have everything they need, and they have money left over for savings and fun/frivolous spending.

Re: Tacky question

Personally, I think anyone making $80,000 or more a year is pretty wealthy. If I had to define it, that is what I would say. Obviously, it's just my opinion and YMMV. Some perspective is needed. It might not "seem" like a lot to some, but if you make $80,000 in a year, you're making more t...

Re: Tacky question

Some of these comments are funny to me just because so many of you who are very well off don't consider yourself wealthy. I get its a matter of perspective, but I think maybe some people's perspectives need to be adjusted Completely agree. A ring that is 'only' 3k is still a huge, frivolous amount ...

Re: Tacky question

All of you, who in the past have posted photos of your 2+ carat diamond purchases, and all your upgrades, are wealthy in my book. If you say you are not, perhaps you just dont realize it. A 2 carat ring is a very expensive purchase, so yes, I would assume either the couple is quite well-off, or the...

Re: Tacky question

I honestly think it depends on how you define "wealth." Yes, true. Like for instance, I'm sure there are people making $200,000 a year who would not consider themselves well-off. Cost of living plays a big role too though. $200,000 in southern CA might not go very far, but here where I am...

Re: If you couldn't afford or didn't want a diamond e-ring..

screen_shot_2016-01-20_at_9.png I already have a simple plain sterling band like this. I wear it when I don't want to wear my diamond ring. I love how silver is bright and highly reflective. Also I love how a design like this (if you wear it often enough) has no place where black tarnish gets a cha...

Re: If you couldn't afford or didn't want a diamond e-ring..

If it can still be a diamond ring but not a solitaire then an eternity band. If it can be a ring with diamonds but not a diamond as the main stone then my sapphire and diamond three stone. If there can't be any diamonds then the Trinity rolling ring in the widest size. Ooh, a Cartier Trinity (or a ...

...what would you pick instead? I thought this would be fun to hear your ideas.

I would wear a simple gold band in a high karat yellow, 18k or maybe 22k. Possibly with a hammered finish for some interest. Or maybe I'd pick a honking sapphire. You?
