Re: Can someone pretty please help me find a suitable diamon
Given that it seems to be a virtual listing of stones without actual images, I suggest sticking with stones with at least VS2 clarity. This would be my pick based on your budget. http://www.diamondrocks.co.uk/certificate.php?products_id=1946132 https://myapps.gia.edu/ReportCheckPortal/getReportData... |

Re: How to tell if a stone is a diamond? Pics in link
Thankyou for the replies!! Some of that "paste" stuff is actually pretty beautiful  I tried the fog test and couldn't see anything, but I'm not so clever and probably just missed it :P The more I stare at the ring the more it looks like the outter stones are diamonds and the middle st... |

Hiya! Thanks to the help of PS-ers, my partner has ordered an e-ring with what is hopefully a gorgeous diamond!!I have to wait until mid-late august for it though so I've been keeping myself busy with some jewellery that I recently inherited from my late Grandmother. A lot of it is very pretty costu... |

Re: Can someone pretty please help me find a suitable diamon
Well, I could see a very small amount of colour in the J. Hardly anything, but I thought over time it just might bug me, so we went for thbmok's suggested diamond  Thankyou thbmok! I'm so excited to see it, but my boyfriend isn't going to "officially" propose until mid-August! I d... |

Re: Can someone pretty please help me find a suitable diamon
Thankyou for the replies! I have seen some beautiful diamonds on this forum but its quite difficult to get a true idea of colour when you can't freely move the actual thing around in different lights. I will take a trip to a b&m store with my boyfriend after he finishes work and see what we thin... |

Re: Can someone pretty please help me find a suitable diamon
That one looks promising too, just make sure you are OK with J color. It'll face up white but you may notice a slight tint when looking at the stone from the side or at an angle. *hugs you* thankyou thbmok. I've told my partner the problem and he was lovely about it and said we'd pick out a better ... |

Thankyou missgotrocks and dreamer. I will email the vendor... Is the low crown angle also likely to affect visual beauty? Or "just" durability? I feel so stupid... |

Ouch... 27 is indeed the angle.... Now what? I think my boyfriend wouldn't be too impressed if I rejected the stone, but not too impressed if it chipped either! |

Re: Newbie needing advice on a J coloured stone!
Sorry to post again, does that mean that a "very good" cut is significantly less likely to be OK if bought online? |

Re: Newbie needing advice on a J coloured stone!
"Very good" diamonds are not usually recommended over diamonds which are graded "ideal" without more information. How much were you planning to spend on the stone if you don't mind sharing? Do you already have a setting? There are people here who can help you find something with... |
