Re: Bill Cosby

Thanks for the kind words. Having to take care of my Mom is a tough one, since she knew how I had a hard way to go. I ended up trusting no one. Funny thing is, I wouldn't change a thing.. I like who I am. I am caring and compassionate and have a lot of empathy. I will follow this closely. I pray tho...

Re: Bill Cosby

Kaleigh, a piece of my heart just broke off for you. (I don't know how many times, during my years as a prosecutor, I was so thankful for the "good touch, bad touch" school programs that facilitated girls, and boys, to confide in someone who responded in a meaningful, proactive fashion......

Re: Bill Cosby

I ask myself all the time, like why could this go on... My dad was on the board of my school.. I couldn't run to a teacher But my housekeeper kept me safe... I did my best to get invited out on weekends so I could be safe... I don't know how old this victim is and it does't matter. a victim is a vic...

Re: Bill Cosby

As a survivor of sexual abuse I pray that Mr. Cosby gets the book thrown at him... I lived for years being abused by my father, and he was such a high profile person I felt I could not ask for help. My own mother saw with her eyes but didn't want to deal... I live where he is being booked and the li...

Re: Then, there's this

I get it. I see it as tilted etc.. Your corrections make it look like it should be. I wonder if there is a correlation to us jewelry lovers. I will see a wonky prong, mis aligned bezel and the like. My mind goes to the flaws right away. I no longer care about perfection but boy in my early days thin...

Re: A Thread for Those Caring for Aging Parents etc.

Deb, Thank you very much for your kind response. What I am going through is pure hell but at the same time there is a blessing in which my Mom is getting better and we are talking about moving forward and letting the past go. I have to forgive myself for giving her care to my dad, but it was the bes...

Re: A Thread for Those Caring for Aging Parents etc.

I am back in the saddle again. My dad died October 7th. Many may remember that I took care of my Nanny for 16 years. Mom didn't help at all. Now that my dad is gone, I am taking care of her and making up for the lack of her care big time. I got her physical therapy. She is blind and can't walk. But...

I think you will love it Kenny. It's easy efficient and convenient. I learned 3 years ago. Was against it. But have found it to be great way of communicating. Re: 32 Year Old Ex-"Hedge Funder" Raises Price of AIDS Drug

I lost my one and only sibling to Aids in the early 90's. When he died, AZT and other drug cocktails were not approved. He died a horrible and painful death, and being by his side, it killed me. Re: Do You Like Your Name?

I hated my name growing up. I was never called by my given name always my nick name, Lisa. I was named after my grandmother who never used the name either and disliked it. Re: Requesting advice on 2 settings

If just the security is the factor, the WF is going to be more secure. It has 'walls' so if you tap it accidentally, you aren't hitting a diamond, you are hitting the metal. The JA mele is more exposed. As for looks, I also like the WF. It is more delicate looking - but that's personal preference. ...

Re: "Natural" Childbirth Overrated?

I wanted a natural birth but my body didn't go with that plan. My first labor was 48 hours, with pitocin. I was like please do a c section , and the doctor was like no you can do this. Finally he agreed and did the C section. I was a wreck afterwards and was thankful for the pain meds. I did beat my...

Re: How far would you go for a pet?

I know with Casper, we did what we could. But when the quality of life wasn't going to be there, and he lived to be 17 I was ok to let him go and not suffer. I cried my eyes out for days, he was woven into the fabric of our lives. But seeing him suffer, it was a not brainer. My first dog Maddie got ...

Re: Dust Please? Youngest Son and His Bully

Sending tons of dust your way. Stand firm. This cannot happen to your son. It doesn't sound as though they are taking this seriously. I would go above the Principle to the school district and make your complaints known.

Good luck!!! Very sorry to hear this.
