Thanks everyone! Ringplease - this is actually a Sophia Tolli. I LOVE Maggie Sottero and my second and third choices were Maggies. Surprisingly, Sophia Tolli is a lot more affordable than I thought. Since I was introduced to the bridal salon by a friend of the owners, they gave me 10%....AND since i... |

We're having a sweetheart table for the following reasons: 1. Our bridal party comes from all over the world and so most of them don't know each other. A lot of them will meet for the first time at the rehearsal dinner, the night before the wedding. We don't want to force them to sit with the BP so ... |

Indy, you are too sweet! I remember pictures of you in your dress and you''re pretty hot yourself! This dress has all the elements I wanted: sweetheart neckline, a full skirt, corset back, and detailing that makes it stand out. I hate my body type because I''m fuller on top than bottom (I really hav... |

Mrs DMcD - My fiance and I are having a 9-month engagement. We were engaged end of June, started planning right away, and at the moment, while waist-deep with the wedding planning, we just signed a contract on a condo! I ordered the dress!
After visiting 8(!) different bridal salons, I finally found THE DRESS. And this past Saturday we ordered it!!! Since we were buying, we were able to take pictures (why don''t they let you take pictures unless you''re buying anyway?). Unfortunately the pictures didn''t come out too well - my mother ... |

I definitely don''t want to make them do things they don''t want to. more advice needed from NY brides....
What are the best bridal salons to go with a $1,500 budget in the NYC area? I''ve already been to RK Bridal and the Bridal Garden, but didn''t find anything I love in either stores. I can''t go to Kleinfelds because their gowns start at $1,800, and Mark Ingram prices seem to be pretty high too. Help! |

I don''t think you''re being unreasonable. It''s one thing if you were getting married before them and they were just not that enthusiastic about a friend''s wedding. I personally like the calculator on Brides.com better than the Knot one since it has a slider budget where if you adjust one, the rest adjust accordingly. There are also shaded areas on each slider that shows you average/suggested prices. Good luck! |
