"Passable instant coffee?"

:o :nono: :knockout:

THIS . . . does not exist. But, if I were desperate enough, Folgers singles would be . . . tolerable.

Re: Ok new topic.. What is new with you???

What's new? Brand new job at a counseling office; trying to dig them out of their self-made accounting hole.

(There is this one therapist who is SO stereotypical he could be a character in a Woody Allen movie. )

Re: Are People Too Touchy-Feely These Days?

Have you actually told people you're uncomfortable with being touched? +1 We all have a right to say how we want to be treated, even within families! Whether or not we touch others should depend on their expectations and comfort level, no ours. Be sensitive to other's body language. You can even as...

Re: How would you rate your singing voice?

I chose 7 on this. My voice is good enough for choirs and ensembles. I don't have any talent for solo performing (or the ego that allows some folks to kid themselves about their level of talent). I did audition for, and get into, the top choirs when I was in Jr. High and HS. I knew how to sight read...

The bible is open to interpretation. :read: Someone could very well say that they will not serve a different religion, race or nationality because it says says so in the bible or that JC wouldn't approve, hogwash. Re: Flourist sued over refusing to service same sex wedding

Private businesses, not subject to receive federal funding for their usual services, should be able to choose their clients. Period. It doesn't matter if any of us think their viewpoint is wrong. Their viewpoint is NOT the issue. The freedom to do exactly as they please is the issue. The only issue.

Do I agree that small children should not be on commercial aircraft? If the flight is not absolutely necessary , then a baby or toddler should not be on a plane. No; Disneyworld can wait until they are older. But, since no one is EVER going to allow what is best for a child, or most courteous for o...

Sedating children, for our own convenience rather than a trauma, is unacceptable. Just as sedating nursing home residents, to make them more compliant and quiet, is unacceptable. Re: Should you follow up after an interview?

Yes. Definitely. I've certainly done it. The best way, in my experience, if you have already had email contact with the person who conducted your interview, is to send a "thank you for the interview" email. It gives you the opportunity to keep your name in front of them, without asking the...

In New Orleans, at Bottom of the Cup, I had my cards read. Scarily on target. I was literally saying, "Oh My God!" after my reading. I was talked into this by my friend, who had been to the same lady. I had listened to a tape of her reading; and that was weird. This lady knew my friend had...

Re: i know there are a lot of pet owners on PS..

The best things in life are actually free. A puppy lick. A cat purr.

You can't buy anything that will make you feel as good as either of those.

Saving money is not the point when it comes to pets. I'll gladly skimp somewhere else.

Yes. Child free zones. Everywhere. Everyday. For the rest of my life. I would be so very grateful. Thank you. I like kids. But let's be realistic.
